  1. LOVE the stars, an excellent touch! :highfive:
  2. What size is it? I'm thinking some kind of pastry thing myself.
  3. The size is fine. The only time big pix bug me is when I have to scroll to see the whole image. My "old eyes" like big, & they're better for showing detail - assuming your pix is mostly candle rather than background.
  4. If you don't mind, please explain to me why you would do this. It's not like you can remove the sticks & then insert a wick into the metal piece since it's already been crimped; so it's not like a wick pin for a container. Or is it?
  5. Too bad the candle got that weird "dent" 'cuz it looked very cool ... kinda like the galaxy or something. The redo turned out interesting, too, but I have to say I like the results of the 1st one better (minus the huge ding, of course).
  6. That's so & at the same time. I would be crushed if anything happened to either of my girls, particularly the youngest one ... maybe 'cuz she still lives at home. Anyway .... lovely 'cane, Donita. I like how the "Y" is at a different angle ... loose, just like a kid would be. How did you get that color blue?
  7. I like how you layered your chunks.
  8. Hot diggity dawg you have fantastic marbles! I would do marbles all day if I could get mine to look like yours. Great job. :highfive:
  9. Where did you get your candle ... I think they're called "snuffers" .... used to trim the wick? I wish "they" would make 'em so the trimming part was at a 90* angle to stem/handle (think L-shaped) for those deeper containers, such as you have. This has been a great thread - lots of excellent suggestions! Looking forward to hearing about your next show.
  10. My thoughts exactly! What a lovely idea!
  11. Crickey, I just might have to switch to soy so I can get those fabulous colors! What type of colors do you use & from where do you get them?
  12. Well, you know what they say ... you can't have your cake & eat it too.
  13. Those are fabulous ... LOVE the colors. :highfive: The design I particularly like are the tilted layers. How did you get those curves?
  14. Plz, no need to apologize for posting pix. We all benefit when ppl care to share.
  15. I have to agree w/ everyone else .... those look really nice! Just a thought, an opinion really .... I've come to deeply appreciate containers that have lids. Nothing more unappealing than a candle w/ a top coat of dust (for those of us who burn less often than others), especially for stickier/softer type waxes (i.e. IGI 6006).
  16. Cool, you done good, but I suspect you already know that.
  17. Wozer Those are very nice. Great rustics. How did you get your colors to pattern like that? Is that the fruit slices from Peak's? I was finally able to get a good whiff of that FO & decided I want some, but they were out.
  18. Great colors! Packaging looks great, too!! :highfive: Kinda hard to wrong w/ a Canon (I've got a couple - one for film & my new digital).
  19. Garf, so lovely to see you again, & up to your usual tricks I see. Kinda of a cool looking wick. I too was thinking that would be great w/ citronella candles. Nice close-up of the wick in the flame ... totally diggin' it, in fact. I recently have gotten into buying/using photo equip for macro. Now to resize my pix to share .... Looking forward to seeing more of your ... er, experiments w/ your new closeup lens. Welcome back!
  20. Wow, those are really cool patterns. Where did you get the hummingbird molds?
  21. Dang, wish I could take some credit for your mastery, but ... I'm after the fact. I'm very happy to have the opportunity to admire your work, which is truly inspirational. THANK YOU for sharing.
  22. Oh dear, that blows! Too bad about the corner. I think there might be a number of possible causes, but since I have yet to have that experience, I'm not in a good position to offer any possibilities or cures. I hope you figure it out, though. Good luck w/ that!
  23. THose are stamps? Wow. What kind of material are you using? Those are sooooooooo cool! :highfive:
  24. Lin, you have definately created a niche for yourself. All 3 pieces are absolutely positively LOVELY.
  25. D, I'm just gonna call you Queenie, is that alright? lol. Thanks for the explanation about the bw. I'm aware that it is "sticky" but would not have thought about it in your application - but then again, I've never done the flower thing. You are so frickin' clever .... how do you stand yourself? Can I have just a pinky full of your talent? Pretty please?
