  1. Well if she gave her home address you could technically contact the police department in the city she lives. Sorry to hear that some of you have lost $ by trusting her
  2. Yes we used a nail while they were baking... Ours didn't smoke when we took them out... Though we did use different scents for each one so the smells mixing together kinda got to me a bit lol. Thanks for the compliments
  3. Hehe usually they would be thinner, but with the highs lately above 100F we thought we'd rather be on the safer side
  4. My mom and I decided to give them a try The color is a bit off in the pic but just wanted to show em off a bit
  5. I agree with candlesprite, I have one of those double burners and I think it was only $20. Hehe and yep, I make sure to dry the bottom of the pour pot before pouring
  6. I use my presto pot to melt the wax, but keep a double boiler set up to keep the wax in my pour pot hot. HTH
  7. Not sure about what wax to use, but when it comes to the presto pot, I have one I use for my pillars, and a seperate for containers, just seems easier to me than trying to clean it out every time I want to switch projects. HTH
  8. I have to go with the black...Makes it all stand out more.
  9. First I want to thank BizzyBs for creating the logo whatcha think?
  10. Haven't ever made air fresheners yet, but would wax paper work? Just a thought.
  11. Just a thought but it may not be that the customer waited until now to submit the chargeback, it's possible that you just found out about it now because the CC company just now decided in her favor...
  12. the cooler your pour the more "frosty" the finished candle will look. I would try pouring a little hotter and cooling slower. HTH Btw, I agree they look good the way they are But I like the rustic look
  13. I'm not an expert on gel wax, but it's suppose to be a container candle. I don't think the gel is solid enough to be a molded pillar type of candle. As for the wick, are you waiting until the wax starts to get solid before trying to wick it? If so that might be why it's bending, try wicking the candle while the wax is still a liquid. Just make sure you keep the wick taut and secured so it stays straight. Hope that helps
  14. My strangest(though not really that strange I guess) was a pair of pillars black and gold scented in baby powder.
  15. I would definitley be willing to pay for her tutorials...All of her creations are just amazingly beautiful.
  16. I would try heating the jars up before pouring, that might help with the wet spots. HTH
  17. I use the weight of the wax....I weigh the empty jar with no lid, then the filled jar with no lid...subtract the difference and that's the weight I list on the label. HTH
  18. wow I wish the bottom of my pillars looked that smooth.
  19. I like the suncatcher idea... Was also thinking of a sunset/sunrise of some sort but couldn't seem to come up with a decent looking one.
  20. Been trying to come up with some decent ideas for my logo but can't seem to find any I like...the company name is Sunlight Expressions. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
  21. I made some of these a while back and if I remember correctly I used the same wicks as in my tealights..I'm at work right now so I can't check but will try to when I get home. It was either my tealight wicks or my votive wicks. The floaters would burn for about 3 hours straight...maybe a bit longer.
  22. I started on the low side with only 5 scents...then as I have time to test a new one I'll add it. A little over a year after I started selling and I'm only up to 8. Now I'll make a ton of difference scents just for me I can't help it hehe there's just too many to choose from. When I find one that I just can't resist, then I start testing to add to my products.
