  1. We add our fo to the base that we bought there, I'm just curious to see if the base that they are selling might be the same material as the "stay dri" that they use to soak up the oil spills in their shop. It just seems exactly alike and serves the same purpose. I would love to save on the shipping. I am the same person(I am ashamed to admit this) that purchased %100 soybean oil for our bath line, had it shipped and then figured out that %100 soybean oil is the same as veggie oil at walmart. I felt so stupid:embarasse I am just trying to figure out if I am paying shipping for something that I could be getting at Napa.
  2. I am very, and I mean very, dumb on a computer. They do not have an image on their website for it. When I called to ask they said it is not the crushed corncob, but a clay based sachet base. It looks exactly like kitty litter, but no scent at all. That is the best way to describe it.
  3. We purchased sachet base from the candlemakers store, set up all the jars, packaged it in the paper envelope, and it seems to be holding the scent very well. We really like it because it is not very labor intensive and can be mark up well. Here is my question. Does anyone know what it really is? It seems like odorless kitterlitter. My husband says it looks like and feels like the "Sta Dri" that they use in the shop(he is a large equip. mechanic) that they throw down to soak up their spills. It contains no chemicals or smells and cost about $8.00 a #40lb bag. It makes sense that this could be the same that they sell for the sachet base. Candlemakers is very reasonable for the base ($12.50 for 50 lbs.) but it costs us $30.00 to ship it. Does anyone know about this?
  4. We were out sniffing and loved this scent. That would be great to give us your opinion when you get it. Thanks. Karen
  5. Any one know where to get a dup of Yankee's Sage and Cinnamon?
  6. We love our premier 700's also. If you need a large amount you can get them from www.wickit.net. They will send you a sample pack for free and then get them 1000 at a time. They will cut them to the length you need. Our 750's and 770's run us about $30 for 1000
  7. We use a lot of oils from MC, gain(we market it as clothesline fresh) is by far our best seller. It is incredibly strong. Other good ones: High cotton Cinnamon Sticks Lilac (I don't like it,but our customers do) Lavender Vanilla Amber Romance Grandmas country kitchen Cozy Home With our reed diffuser we sell a lot of strong florals that unfortunely make us gag. To each his own:rolleyes2
  8. I haven't tried peak's caramel apple, but I like most of the scents I have ordered from them. Just curious why you don't get any fo from MillCreek?
  9. I suppose this is where I should post this. I was wondering if anyone could tell me which lasts longer, corn cob sachets or cardboard air freshners. We have had many customers ask about freshners for the cars. We suggest our smelly jelly, many won't for fear of spilling, can't blame them, so we wanted to market something safe for cars. I welcome any ideas. Thank you.
  10. Not sure if this is where I should post, but anyway. after several requests for a car freshener, which holds the scent better, corn cob sachets or cardboard air freshener? Any suggestions?
  11. We purchased a black ink laser printer at Staples for I think around $ 80 . Our ink jet printing was smearing off all the time with all the oils. One of our best purchases. Make sure to get the laser labels though.
  12. Can't see the jar, but we always used an htp 104 or 105 in our 8 oz jellly with our 415
  13. I also just saw it on www.conniescandles.com
  14. Yeah!!!! I didn't give up and they did set up for me. I spritzed them a little more with witch hazel and it did the trick. Gotta love when you finally figure the simplest things out. Thanks for all the advice, Karen:yay:
  15. I can't seem to find a happy medium to get them to stick together. I think I used to much witch hazel. I can't say that I have tried everything because I get frustrated then give up. I have only used a silicon mini muffin pan as a mold. maybe I should go get a meatballer or buy a bath bomb mold. What do you recommend? We just wanted them to add to our bath line. they look fun. Thanks. Karen
  16. It's www.soycandle.com. They carry them also, got packs of 50 to test our 30 scents.
  17. We found these wicks at www.wickit.net We used to use htp with our 415 and then the c-3 threw us for a loop. This company sent us about 50 different sizes of wicks to test for free. They are wonderful. Any way I think that the premiers are made especially for veg. waxes. We really like them. You have to get 1000 at a time, but we do go through a lot, plus they cut them for the size of your container so no more trimming. 1000 of the 750 were around $30. Very reasonable and great customer service.
  18. We finally tested and tested and tested and work out our wicks with the premier 700 series. love them and just don't know if I'm up to all the retesting. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about.
  19. I was just curious if the soy oil could be the reason I could not get the darn things to stay together or if it is just me. I am getting frustrated and I'm not known for my patience. Bath bombs certainly don't seem to be my thing. I think I should stick to candles and bases.
  20. Kandle krazy, could you use the same wicks as you did with pure c-3?
  21. I am curious about testing results also. I am a 415 lover too, but switch to c-3 because of shipping costs. I like the c-3, but are with you about the hot throw. I thought it was just my nose. I argue with my sister about it and I think she just sees the $$$ sign. I would hate to have to change wicks again, what a you know what. But I would not mind spending the shipping on a box of 415 every once in awhile. Keep us posted. Karen
  22. We also use 8 oz for our fundraisers. To make them a little different we use copper lids instead of our pewter lids and add a small clear label on the back that says " Thank you for supporting ......." We try to keep it simple and not so different that people are used to seeing our label and think of us. Plus with just changing the lid we can pull from our normal stock if we need to . Good luck. Our fundraisers are one of our biggest money makers.
  23. Very beginner bath bomb maker. I stink at it. Does anyone know if you can use soy oil in place of sweet almond oil? It is all I have on hand to try. Thanks. Karen
