  1. Just got to thinking if for example Peaks cornucopia with so many fragrance notes is realistic? Im sure people have great luck with it and I don't doubt that is smells good, but during a recent order I stuck with very simple fragrances, like cinnamon and lilac. Any thoughts? Natalie
  2. You just gave me a great idea. I will use the people I see everday , there is a lovely couple, Mac and Ruth, they will be my beginning inspiration. Thanks Natalie
  3. I use eco pure, I know what buttercream I would not suggest. WYW's buttercream crunch. It might be my wax, could not get a cold or hot throw. Natalie
  4. Cuppa Chai had to grow on me, and now that it has I really love it. Plus I had a hard time wicking it. Anyways it is unique in my opinion, and if that intrigues you I would recommend it. Natalie
  5. As I have come to learn, people love Cinnamon buns scented candles, in my area. Is there a gentle way of nudging them to think about other fragrances? I guess there is probally a marketing strategy, but my customer base is a community senior center, don't get me wrong it's a swinging place with all ages and volunteers, but is it wrong of me to want them to be open to fragrances with unfamiliar names ex. mediterranean fig. Sometimes the name just throws them off I think? HELP my testers only want one fragrance!!!! Natalie
  6. This spring I ordered from NG, wanted to try the company, ordered 5 scents poured 4 candles each and sold the rest of the FO's on the classies. I think the quality is probally ok, your personal taste might just be different. Natalie
  7. I have been sticking to 1 oz per lb lately. For some reason I am needing to use more for CS cinnabuns. I am trying 11/2oz per pound. Anyone else using more? I would be curious, same for CS app and maple bourbon. TIA Natalie
  8. Hot Apple Strudel from Moonglow Soy is good. Also JBN Hot Apple Pie. natalie
  9. I just did a test round of WYW buttercream crunch, it's not all that I tried 4 different wicks, hot and cold throw were weak. I use ecosoya pure, but I doubt that makes much difference. OOb it was better Nat
  10. I use eco pure, CS used to carryit but gb 415 replaced it. WSP carries the eco now. I use 1ounce per pound. The current tester is Apples and maple bourbon (thought it was pretty similar to their plain mac app). I also love the feet on the bottom. The smallest rrd I have right now is a 50, I will test that as well. Natalie
  11. I usually either had the 8 or 4 ounce. I am testing some 6 ouncers now and I think they are a really nice size, great melt pool, eco 14. Sometimes had trouble with hang up on the 8 ouncers. Natalie
  12. Well sort of, I dont seem to get the melt pool I used too. Eco wicks are performing so good right now in my square masons. With eco pure a lx 26 would always give a good melt pool, some mushrooming, it seems not anymore. I just want to add that I always order from CS somethimes the 26's have large tabs at the bottom and sometimes they dont. I don't necessarily think this is a wick inconsistency, but no two bags seem to give the same results. Lovin eco's natalie
  13. Great thread, I ordered CS cran marm the other day and thought oh jeez should I TRY for the red/cranberry color, it has never been anything less that a headache, red or any shade has never been good for me. I love yellows, golds, and maples etc. I like the idea of shades rather than colors. I think colorless is the way for me. Natalie
  14. Great suggestions!! I think I am in a state of MUST have hot throw so I push the limit of my usage, I totally agree that is not economical, and I also agree that in the past all of my CS fo's have worked with 1 oz pp. My mantra for now needs to be less is more. nat
  15. Great explantation candle buddy. Thanks I needed that.
  16. When I ordered my CS 99 centers I ordered one oz only of different scents. What is the most effective way to test one ounce samples. I almost always use 11/2 ounce per pound. Just curious Natalie
  17. I know!! Has it been two weeks yet, I want to try some Shaw Mudge brand Fo's and more, I keep checking their site!! Natalie
  18. After a recent order, recieved an email advising that the wick choices were a little off for votives and had ordered different amounts of wick cups and pins. Offered advise and wanted to make sure that what was ordered was correct. I call that personalized attention and thought I should share my first but definitely not last experience with this company. :highfive: Natalie
  19. Woo hoo is right, I just placed my order!!! In all the excitement though I ordered votive molds and forgot the pins. booooo I am sooo excited to try the new fragrance oils. natalie
  20. I have ordered from them. Hot apple strudel and lemon cheesecake were both good in eco pure. Plus they host the message board on yahoo. HTH Natalie
  21. ok I just poured one of the questionabe ones, WYW's lavender and sweet basil at 1/2 ounce per pound, the jury is still out. WYW buttercream crunch smells awesome oob and snowberry smells ok. I'll post updates after cure time. Natalie
  22. Thanks for the heads up! So many times I can find jars at different suppliers that have the same dimensions but different ounces. As if.............we dont get crazy enough with the other stuff Natalie
  23. Well I am trying 3 pricier fragrances from BCN and two of them aren't smelling so good. I know I have to get them in wax but you know it's a lot funner when they smell good from the get go! Natalie
  24. Thanks Vicky, I panicked just a little, Im good at that. natalie
  25. I did a little market research at a senior center where I volunteer. The people who participated were probally between 40 and older, and 22 people participated. Anyways I gave free tea lights if they would answer a few questions on a slip of paper and slip it in the box. An overwhelming majority said their favorite scent was Lilac--------this scent never even dawned on me. Im beginning to think scents I like aren't the norm. I guess what I am wondering is since I consider this a hobby should I really care what other scents are popular? Eventually I might enjoy a craft fair or two but trying to decide on scents to try can really owerwhelm me. Natalie
