  1. Thanks for the response. I did not smell a burnt smell when I entered the room. She " the crazy one" only mentioned a wick smell. I use and really like the wick dippers. That buttercream crunch was a strange FO for me though. I only ordered it once.Natalie
  2. Recently I walked into a friends house and OMG could instantly smell WYW buttercream crunch, I was happy because I did not think it was a thrower. Anyways when I mentioned it my testers friend mentioned all that she could smell was wick. She's crazy right? or have some of you smelled wick? not lovin negative nellies Natalie
  3. when is CS gonna offer a new fo? That was so much fun during the fall. Maybe they were gonna offer new ones every week throug 2007. Really want to try the Wildberry Mouse it gets several mentions. Natalie
  4. citrus and teak from JBN is one of my favorites. I have the cuc from candle coocoon but have not tried it yet. I want to try to cuc cantelope from peaks. I need to look at the JBN site some more I think I will find inspiration from there. Thanks for sharing.\ \ Natalie
  5. I thought it might be fun since I assume we are all getting rid of winter scents and looking for spring stuff to order, we could brainstorm what might be hot trends for the warmer months. I realize different regions are a factor, all information would be subjective. I am going to search for the best coconut lime, this spring and summer I want to experiment with light earthy wood scents. Natural scents that kind of go with eco friendly themes, since "green is in". This thread this could totally bomb but it is 17 degrees outside and I was looking for some indoor fun. Natalie
  6. Is there a lime in da coconut from some supplier? I wonder how it performs in soy? TIA Im bummin my funds are limited right now thanks to a car repair. Who was givin away free samples? Ha don't I wish, I should start riding a bike. Hatin my foreign car Natalie Not looking for a bbw dupe something without the verbena
  7. I have had excellent results in eco pure with the very vanilla, had 2 people tell me it made their whole house smell wonderful. Same with the Spiced Wassil, a couple of guys burn it at their shop and told me they can still smell it the next morning. I keep thinking I want to try a new supplier, but CS seems to always be good, same with Peaks. I also use 8 oz square masons and a 48 hour cure time. Lovin CS Natalie
  8. This time of year I am eager to try a new place, I think it was about 6 months ago or more that SW temporarily shut down for something, anyways with so many fragrance companies out there I hate to say it but a few negative reviews makes my job on deciding a new company to try a lot easier. I really have wanted to try a Shaw Mudge brand product, but there are plents of others out there. Also I am cracking up about the Alabaster comment. Natalie
  9. When I read on the peaks website that Asian Sandlewood was a top seller I got out a couple that have been curing for at least 6 months, I love that fragrance, also burning Red Hot Cinnamon from CS. Does anybody want to share what your sniffin? p.s hopefully its not what Britney has been sniffin, Im joking, I feel bad for her now, really hope she gets better, and I dont mean to offend anyone. Natalie
  10. I have researched this also. If for example I was looking for the manufacuter of a Peaks oil, I dont know where I would find that name. Your right to try and do a search is hard because as you said everyone claims that they are wholesale. I hope you get some more answers. Natalie
  11. Since it's Friday, I know we all gave a few going for the weekend. I am sniffin CS Red hot cinnamon, hansel and gretel. JS citrus and teak Peaks lilac and Daystar cuppa chai, which I love more and more all the time. It's quite a mix but oh well you know:wink2: Cant wait to get Very Vanilla in wax. Natalie
  12. I got mine yesterday, and I am going to pour it tonight. oob smells like pure vanilla extract. Blackberry marmalade too, I have been pouring CSs' red hot cinnamon for a week now, everybody loves it. Natalie
  13. I need a break from bakery and someone suggested doing botanicles. I see Peak has some Sage and Lemongrass and cedar to name a few. I still am going to test some berreries but any botanicle suggestions would be appreciated. Still lovin BNB Natalie
  14. I know it is a bit early to be feeling burnout, but I think I am tired of square masons and bakery scents. My candle area is clean and ready for the next big poor but I want a gentle nudge I guess. Does anybody want to tell me buck up or suggest a new scent. Later today I will pour CS Wassil and WYW Snowberry. Im a whinny bum today. Somebody smack me ha ha Still lovin chandeling Natalie:tongue2:
  15. Eco pure with lx22's in a ounce tin is what I sometimes had luck with but I would try a htp 105 although that might be too big. HTH Natalie
  16. I have not been at candle making long enough to find identicles. I just wanted to thank everyone who shared, this is a great thread with a wealth of information. Natalie
  17. I got my sample yesterday, smells good oob:cheesy2: Natalie
  18. I sound lame here but I do not understand how you get those links. I know it is probally in the learning section but I dont go there as much as I should. Thanks for posting those. Natalie
  19. I personally have not really tested vanillas, yet I did pour vanilla hazelnut from CS it is good but not plain. 2 years ago I tried CS French Vanilla. Anywho I am thinking of trying BCS Vanilla Velvet. I hope this thread helps us both out. Natalie
  20. That is. after all the question. I chase scent throw almost everyday, my answer would be to achieve the best melt pool and get it to the best temp from your wick for the particular scent you are using. Lately I am overly obsessed with scent throw and don't really know why. I continually ask my testers "how was the scent throw?" and if they dont give me a detailed response, I go nuts. HaHa Natalie
  21. With the exception of tins I have used 8 ounce jj and square masons and some six ounce jars. Today at dollar store I bought 3 smaller containers, 3 ounce apothacary and a 4 ounce tumbler. Does anyone stick to these smaller containers. Im looking for something different right now I guess. Still lovin the square masons Natalie
  22. I am burning CS choco milk, CS strudel and spice and peaks amish harvest. I am curious as to what all of you are sniffin. Have fun, Natalie
  23. Does anyone care to share what wicks they use with pure soy? I thought I had a tried and true with my eco 12's, but lately 3 different fo's have drowned themself out, or had a very short flame. I used one oz per pound, so I have rrd50 or maybe a lx 22 or 24. Thanks, Natalie
  24. Thanks for the heads up I know which sample I will be asking for with my next purchase. Natalie
  25. I have always heard that vanilla and soy are not a very good combination. Anybody have a suggestion, I would really appreciate it. Natalie
