I have never even thought of weighing my oils.. But I guess you can never be to careful. I to think you have done the right thing about not posting the vendors name. I think the only time that should be done, is when all else fails, to make the problem right.. or if it is a continuing problem.. That is just my humble opinion..

I am looking for this Fo, and want to be able to smell the coffee,,but I don't like a burnt coffee smell..Any help??

I haven't used Candle Source , but TCS is wonderful in 100% soy..

I would like to know too... I have several boxes of 100% kosher soy setting here..it would be great if it could be used in soaps.. I have never made soaps yet.. but I want to...

yes they are both CP classes.. It is not a hands on totally class because of the lye.. probably can't for insurance reasons.. but you are right there while they make it..

There are 2 classes on CP soapmaking..One at the Nova School in Richmand Calif..they are having a 2 day work shop..sounds really good.. Another one in Fairfield Calif..this one is taught using all natural ingrediants, meaning herbs and whatever for scent, and coloring..is called natural body care with Joan Morais..she also teaches to make all kinds of bath & body lotions...ect... It just seems like it would be good, being I have never made either..and sometimes just seeing how something is made helps..and they also teach how to use the lye calc..which is like a foreign object to me..lol

I was wondering about the use of these in soy wax.. Is there anything harmful in zinc wicks?

This is what is posted..it says for Cold Process too.. aVanStab - Vanilla Stabilizer (for soap) Finally a vanilla stabilizer for Cold Process Soap! Works great in Melt & Pour Soap too! Add equal amounts of this liquid to your fragrance oil (for every ounce of fragrance oil, add 1 oz of stabilizer). This liquid is not oil soluble, so it will not seem to mix, but that is normal. Vanilla Stabilizer has a strong chemical odor out of the bottle, but it will not affect the finished fragrance. This product helps keep your soaps from turning brown when using vanilla fragrances. May not work in all vanilla based fragrances, depending on the other components in the fragrance. Testing is recommended. Sold by weight not volume.

from what I have read...the salt bars really get hard.. so the divider molds would probably be best?

Ok I am going to show how much I don't know.. What is the milk way mold? And the Southern Gents mold? Also carebear..the Misty creek mold, what size of bar does that make?

I was wondering what soap molds do you like the best for CP soaps, and Salt bar soaps.. ..do you like the divider molds best or the ones that you cut your own soaps.. I have been looking at all the molds trying to decide which one to buy.. I am still buying up supplies to start..lol:D I have just bought some supplies from the co-op.. So hopefully I will have the rest of my supplies by the time they come... I have just been drouling over all the beautiful soaps that you ladies have been showing here..

I was wondering if any of you have used it? I knowticed it at Bittercreek N. It is supposed to keep the Vanilla scents from turning brown.. It is to be used 50/50 with FO..

Daystar's waffle cone FO does not work for me in GB 415..No HT

Just a report on the Vanilla Latte..It is wonderful in my Gb 415 after only 3 days of curing..That short of curing is almost unheard of in my soy.. So I am hopeing that in a week of so of curing it will only be better.. I really like this smell.. alot of Coffee scents I don't care for but this is a true smell.....
