I love the look of this wax..How does it compare to HT with your 135? I may just add some to my sample order too..

What Temp to you add your FO.I use 415 too.

If you are not in a hurry..when I test the ones I have curing I will let know how they are..I am not sure if our wax would do the same though.. In fact I bought 10 FOs. of ICS and 10 of ST from ICS I have them all in wax cureing now..I usually test in 7 days,,if they don't throw well, I put them back and wait another week..Sometimes if I really like a scent but seems still weak after 2 wks, I will wait another 1 or 2 wks, but after that it goes in the trash..

I have About 10 FO's From ICS curing right now..Made with GB415.. And about their Pink Sugar..I had tested it after 7 or 8 days..I did not get a good throw..I put it back, and just thought it was another one that was not going to be good for me..I would say 2 or 3 wks later I came across it and reburned it,,and boy had it come to life. It is a soft scent that just floats..I love it.. What is the temp..that you mostly add your FO's at.. I feel I am getting to many FO's that do not throw for me.. I have been adding my FO at about 160 to 170.. I have just started adding the FO at 140 to 150 to see if I get a better HT..

What about Marmalade Swirl?? Still thinkin:confused:

I use GB 415..Does anyone have some favorites from this FO company that work good for you in this wax.?

yummm...I have the peach and marmalade,,and ordered from the co-op the VBN..will give this a try when I get it....thanks..will try to think of a name..

I do the same..pour pot inside of the large pot of water..I use a Jar ring to keep my pour pot off the bottom of the water pot..

did you see the lol.. I may not even attempt this for some time..I will read read and read some more,,But after seeing all the beautiful soaps different ones of you have made..I want to try making some too..

Does anyone want to buy my 2 mrdoright molds, I just bought on the co-op? lol.. I had said in a another post, I have been making candles about 8 months.. I have not even condidered selling yet..and had not really even looked at the B&B part of this forum..Then one day I saw the recipe for Shortening & Shea Sudsy Soap..next day the Emulsified Body Butter..then the co-op on the molds..and jumped right in a bought 2 molds..Now after reading non-stop for several days..I am wondering if I did the right thing..lol After all these coments, if it takes longer to prefect the soap and lotions, than it has for me trying to prefect the candles.. I'm in for a long haul... I do want to say..I love this board..I have only been posting about 2 months or so..I know I have asked probably some pretty dumb questions..but have always been answered in the nicest way..and I know that if I get into the B&B side of this, I will probably ask some more dumb questions..but I will try to read read read and learn as much as possible that way..An learn here from all of you..I want to go about this the right way..because it sounds like it would be so much fun...I have enjoyed reading all these posts,,on when you are ready and when not ready..you do really learn from them..if you have a open mind..

I just recieved some samplers but not the ones you are looking for.. I have tried the Vanilla Bliss..it is a great scent in soy.. I use GB 415 HTH

I just poured PEAKS French Vanilla Amber..OOB it is a wonderful smell..I am curing so I can't tell you what It will smell like burning..But It does not have a spicy smell...Also I use soy..HTH

You know a wonderful help would be some really good directions.. I copied down the recipes from the board for..Shortening & Shea Sudsy Soap and Emulsified Body Butter..Just would really like really clarified step by step directions...Are these recipes for a Beginner? If not what would you suggest? I know to you that know so much more about all this, it must be tiring when us newbies ask so many questions..But your help is really appreciated...

Me to..I nead a vertual guide threw all of this...It sounds so foregin to me..when i real aobut seizeing..and so on..but I am a glutten for punishment..I love new challenges.. .I bought 2 of the Mr. do right molds on the co-op..so I guess I am commeted....and don't know one thing about soaping.. do you call that addiction? or is that being crazy:confused:

If you ladies have any recomendations on a good book, or a website for information on making soaps..give me your imput.. I have read the two post lately on SHORTENING & SHEA SUDSY SOAP and the EMULSIFIED BODY BUTTER..and really want to give a try at this.. I bought 2 of the molds from the co-op from Mr do right molds..and am anxious to try.. But everything I read you ladies say is read read read before you start.. I have never made either so I don't want to go about it the wrong way.. Your input would be appreiciated:highfive:

:embarasse LOL..This forum is killing me...:rolleyes2 I started out making candles in Dec.. I really never payed much attention to the bath and body side of the forum..untill this week, I don't know what to do..I want to make this soap, the emulsified body butter lotion that was posted in another thread... My husband will kill me for sure:grin2: if he finds me starting something new again.. I sew, quilt, now candles, bath and body..oh my oh my.. Is this a recipe for a beginner? I don't want to get in over my head. I have never made soap before..

Jami..How much IPM did you add to the recipe? Where is the best place to buy all these ingrediants? I am wanting to try this ASAP:yay:

I have a grapefruit FO, that really has a bad fuel smell, what would you add to it to tame that down??

What happened to this post.. I have never made anything but Candles.. I have been thinking for making some lotions with FO's that did not work well in my soy candles. I found this post..and have so enjoyed reading it,,it has made me want to try this one too..Did you ever get that tested?? Is this a good lotion for a first timer to try?? I don't want to get in over my head lol:laugh2: But the sound of this lotion, makes me want to jump in a give it a try..

Don't want to put a damper here..but I have tested Blackberry Butter Jam in GB 415 and 464..I let cure for 13 days and I am not getting a very strong throw at all..I first test burned it in 1 week..and was not happy with the throw, so I let it set for another week..and it is not any better..It is a lovely smell but just does not throw well in my soy..Before I totoally give up on it I will let it set for a while longer and see what happens..
