  1. This is some scent. Absolutely pefect apple bakery scent with perfect amt of cinnamon. Tested in my usual fashion. Small candle fillled a 12 x 18 bedroom in 15 minutes......awesome. igi 4267, 10% fo, eco 2, 2" - 2 oz candle Eve
  2. Wax is igi 4627, fo is 10%, wick is eco 2 and container is a two oz. tin, appx 2" diameter. I am using a new testing method. I am now allowing the candle to burn for 2 hours before I rate it. I am using my master bedroom which is appx 15'x20' with 8 ft ceilings. A rating of "10" means that the scent filled the room and was an extremely powerful scent. A rating of "9" means that the scent filled the room. A rating of "8" means that the scent filled the room but was a "barely there" type of scent. Anything lower than an "8", I rated as "0". Black Cherry......very strong but reminded me of robitussin......................10 Mac Apple .....Wowser....awesome.....love it........................................ 10 Carmel Pralines.......People loved it.....nutty, sweet.................................10 Cedar Vanilla......my fave of the bunch..not as strong as others but still a .......9 I would only reccomend oils with a rating of 9 or 10. Eve
  3. Hi, I tried one a few months back....it was from ICS....called Olive Blossom......but it was not floral...strictly olive. However, I think it may have been closeout/garage sale. I did review it: http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74967 Dont know about dupability in regards to Votivo. However, if you are ever looking for Votivo Red Currant Tony's carries it. hth, Eve
  4. I decided to try apple danish (seen it mentioned quite a few times). 24 Hours later.....still no confirm/invoice (paypal). Left phone message, too. Is this par for the course? Any info greatly apprciated. Thanks, Eve

I decided to try a couple of their scents when I purchased this oil in lb quantity. Here are reviews: Cucumber Melon (BNL)......Wow....absolutely perfect............10 Sweet Pea (BNL)......Beautiful...bbw version........................10 Company supplied three freebies (with first purchase) Home Sweet Home...spice, cinnamon, fall type smell............10 Lilac. I don't usually like florals but this was awesome.........10 Northwoods- my fav oob but burning I didn't detect as much pine, more fruit. Beautiful scent but I'd like more pine...........9
  6. Lonestar had a very good chocolate chip cookie. It threw extremely well. Only $13.95 for a lb. hth, Eve
  7. If you can handle only getting 7.9 oz when you order 8 oz, than the Coquito from Gelluminations is nice. Don't know about soy or B&B. Eve
  8. I love Flickers Cranberry Fig. There are no spice notes. I find the scent to be fruit yet, I feel there is something sultry/feminine about it. I know that may sound strange but if you try it you will understand what I am saying. Eve
  9. I like to share.......especially when I get a dud.....why would we all need to buy the same dud? Not that I've ever gotten a dud from ICS Eve
  10. I did try to use 6% and 8% because people here were very insistent on this point. However, I do feel that the candles were not as powerful (my opinion). I think that 10% makes an awesome candle with most oils. However, there are a couple (Little Black Dress, Celtic Moonspice, Hansel & Gretel) that I use 8% bec 10% seeps or makes my nose hairs burn. I did start out using 12% but found that 10% was equally as powerful; I couldn't detect a difference. I did not think that 6% or 8% was equally as powerful but many would disagree with me. hth, Eve
  11. I was torn over whether or not to post this review. Unfortunately, I had a negative experience with the supplier. I found that all of my samples were underweight. I contacted the supplier who refused to accept what I was saying. I had to do a paypal dispute in order to recieve a response to my email. I do, however, like some of the oils and often prices are under $1/oz. I decided to post my testing results and allow each person to determine for themself whether or not they would like to try these oils. I have decided that I may order some of the oils which I have already tested (If I liked them and find that there are no weight discrepancies) but will probably not order any more samplers in the future. I would only reccomend oils with a rating of 9 or 10. Satsuma- 9 This is a very good oil. I think that the one from AH is a bit stronger. Wild Winterberry- 10 A very nice fruity scent. I am not sure if it reminds me of winter though. Naughty or Nice- 10 I felt that this was similar to the Wild Winterberry. A fruity scent Sugar Plum- 8 A Barely there scent. Sweet Potato Pie- 0 Smelled a bit like cinnamon cream cheese to me oob, but no throw Toasted Marshmallow- 8 The oil did not seep, but it was a little weaker than the Flickers marshmallow Victorian Christmas- 8 Nice oob, cold but barely there Under the Mistletoe- 8 A pine, cinnamon type smell Winter Wonderland- 8 A peppermint type smell Apple Butter Pumpkin Pie- 10 Reminded me of Flickers Fall Harvest (FOH Autumn Harvest). I liked it very much. Autumn Toddy- 9 Similar to App Butt Pumpk but not as strong Candy Cornucopia- 10 No cold throw, but hot throw was very nice Coquito- 10 A nice coconut scent. Chestnuts Brown Sugar- 9 Cold throw was a 10, but not hot throw? I detected a bit of chocolate in the scent? Fall Leaves- 9 Earthy, opium type scent. Didn't love it. Harvest- 10 Reminded me of Yankees, but threw much better. Mango Enchantment- 0 Awesome oob (for tarts), but no throw in my candle Pumkin Loaf- 10 Threw very well, reminded me of a corn bread Splendor of Christmas- 10 Excellent throw, reminded me of bayberry and cinnamon Eve
  12. I only found this company as they were closing down shop. Too bad. The oils were very nice. Wax is igi 4627, fo is 10%, wick is eco 2 and container is a one oz. tin, appx 2" diameter. I am using a new testing method. I am now allowing the candle to burn for 2 hours before I rate it. I am using my master bedroom which is appx 15'x20' with 8 ft ceilings. Bayberry- 10 Classic bayberry. Perhaps, not as strong as AH, yet still very powerful. Tranquil Sleep- 10 This was a perfect dup. Throw was phenomenal. Soft, powder scent but unbelievably strong. Gardenia/Lily- 10 What a wonderful floral. I don't usually care for florals but this one is clean and feminine. Eve

I smell cinnamon, spice but no fruit Christmas Pines- 10 Wow, this is one phenomenal and beautiful pine. It beats every other that I've tried Grannies Pumpkin Cookies-10 I really liked this. It is as strong as CS Pumpk Souffle, but I feel that it is sweeter. I think that I may prefer this one. Fall Harvest- 10 This reminded me of FOH Autumn Harvest. A blend of apple, pumkin and spice, with apple being the predominate. Harvest Apple- 10 An apple cinnamon that is VERY heavy on the cinnamon. Marshmallow- 10 A beautiful scent, but not much cold throw for me:( Eventually, the oil seeped out. This also happened with tarts. I couldn't get it to stay in solution. Nag Champa- 10 The BEST that I've tried. It reminded me of Blue Pearl Incense. Spiced Plum- 8 I was able to smell it but it didn't really do anything for me. Too bad, I loved it oob. Eve

Chestnuts & Br Sugar-10 A nut and cinnamon type scent. Kudzu- 10 Very fruity, grape, tropical type smell Apple Brown Betty-10 My favorite of the bunch- More apple than cinn or br sugar Sweet Potato Pie- 9 Cinnamon bakery type Cactus Sea Salt- 10 I loved this clean scent. I smell a fresh water type scent, heavy on the salt but no kelp/seaweed Eve
  15. I just tried the Apple Brown Betty and liked it very much. Where as some fo are heavier on the cinnamon, spice.....this is heavier on the apple.....which is my preference. Eve
  16. I think I saw some just listed on the classifieds today. Good Luck, Eve
  17. It's been awhile since I smelled the foh Rocky Mt, but I recently tried the Christmas Pine from Flickers and it was phenomenal. Amazing throw, great scent, try it...it out threw every other pine that I recall trying (gellumination, cs, foh). I do use igi 4627. Eve
  18. Hi, Thanks for reviews. It's always nice to hear different opinions on fo/throw/description, etc. I see that you use good, great and awesome. Would you reccomend good? or just great and awesome. Does good signify a "barely there" type scent? I am greatful when I see an honest opinion re: a scent that may not throw too well. It's one less for me to buy/try. This way suppliers can get rid of it and make room for something better. I found the website at BitterCreek a bit strange:undecided I did try a couple of samples of the BNL line (I think this is BCSouth). They smell fabulous oob. They are Cuc Melon and Sweet Pea. I purchased/and am crazy for the BNL Vanilla Sandalwood (Awesome throw). I still have to put the samplers in wax. I was thrilled to get the three freebies (1/2 oz samplers). They were 2 holiday scents...Home Sweet Home, Northwood Christmas and also, Lilac.... Still have to make them up. I will post results when I do. Thanks for sharing, Eve
  19. I don't know your wax. In my wax (4627), I found NG Hot Orange Danish and ICS Orange Chiffon Cake to be twins with the one from FOH. hth, Eve
  20. Thanks for the reviews. I love testing oils; It's my favorite part of the whole candle making process. I've never tried JS- it's nice to have a reference point. Eve
  21. I use 4627, with a fragrance load of appx. 10%. In a 7 oz tumbler, I used an eco 6. Diameter is appx 2.75" Sometimes I wicked up to an eco 8 (van sandalwood, van madgsc orchid, etc.) If I ever saw a little black smoke, I would trim the wick. This seemed to take care of everything. This wax/wick/fragrance combo makes such a clean burning candle for me. But, attention must be paid to the wick size. Eve oops- I see pixi said something similar:)
  22. Christmas Pine from Flickers. Awesome. I use igi 4627, 10% fo, eco wicks. Eve
  23. If you are trying to stay with one supplier, the one that I found to have the most "Perfume Types" was Aroma Haven. AH/RE has: Interlude (T.Mugler Angel) Pink Sugar (SNC version) Little Black Dress Sweet Amber Musk Gardenia Lily Issey Miyake (unisex) Satsuma (citrus) These all threw extremely well in my wax (4627, 10 %, eco wick). A six ounce jar did my open floor plan (LR, DR, Kitch). Good Luck, Eve
