  1. I 'googled' this bec I was curious as to what a 'kudzu' was. I came up with Save on Scents (14.95/lb). It said "sweet floral with leafy undertones.) Also, a person on ebay had 2 oz ($6) with cheap shipping. Just google it...you'll probably find even more places to get it. Good Luck If you get it, you'll have to post how it smells. Eve
  2. That's great....I've got a sample of the flicker's Summer Garden coming in the mail! I'm excited to try it. Eve
  3. I have to say...that Raspberry Guava was awesome....it really threw (and I wasn't expecting it bec FOH didn't throw for me). ICS is only $13.95/lb vs FOH which is $21.95. Price is great and oil is amazing. Do try it. Eve
  4. Scented- I didn't realize that there was an actual CK Type....What I meant was (to me) Badedas was a Calvin Klein "type" of smell....clean, unisex....in the family of etrernity, ck one and the sort....those types of smells. What's it like to you? Granted, I've only smelled it this one type....opinion could change after I've used it a few times, I guess. I made a dozen tarts from each of the 40 1 oz samplers I tested this weekend....so now I will get a real feel for these scents. It is at this point when I can get a whole different feel for the scent. Also, people who come to visit will give me their take on the scent (and try to take my scents-lol). Forty dozen tarts....it'll be awhile before I use them all or give them away. Eve
  5. I'm embarrassed to say this but ...the last meal I cooked other than Scrambled eggs was Thanksgiving and before that it was Easter:rolleyes2 Also, I don't smoke.... It is in areas that look like spackle or spackle tape...maybe it was there and I never noticed so regular darkening is more prevalent?
  6. I mostly do tarts. This is in my kitchen (where I make candles but don't burn candles), yet not in my Livingroom (where I do burn candles).??? Yes, it can be wiped off with cloth...I just did a dot bec I don't want to make it worse until I decide to clean or paint. eve
  7. I know I've seen something about this somewhere. I noticed this morning, that my ceiling had shadows on it. I tried readjusting the blinds....to no avail. I believe this is from candlemaking. It seems to fall in line with spackle tape lines...spackle areas (ceiling is new construction). I guess all that I can do is paint, correct? I have been making candles in my kitchen for a little over a year. I was doing a doubler boiler, with my oven vent on. A couple of weeks ago, I got the pot with the spout. I have stopped using the vent as I am not boiling. Could this have happened in the last two weeks (( I made candles 3x)? Or more likely, it was there and I never saw it. OMG...yikes. I'm so bummed. I guess one option is to only make candles outside, with presto pot...when the weather is pleasant enough. Anyway, is there any way to prevent this smoky ceiling? Or do you just paint it on a yearly basis? My cabinets seem ok....not sticky or dirty or anything. Please advise Eve
  8. I'm not sure if it's snowtops...I don't think that they are differentiating anymore. It was a "premium" oil. hth Eve
  9. I just got done checking out my AH Samples in Wax I used igi 4627, fo @ 10%, 2 oz jar with an eco 2 wick. The candles were small, so I tested in rooms that averaged 10'x12'. I am scoring throw on a scale of 1-10. I lit the candles and checked back after 15 min. If the room was infused, I would rate the candle a 10. If the room had a light scent, I checked back 15 minutes later, and so on and graded accordingly. Cinnamon Styx- This is very nice and strong (10!). I reminds me of those cinnamon wreaths that are out around the holiday. Strawberry Preserves- I really like this. More sweet than tart. It throws very well. I gave it a 9. I prefer the Straw Rhubarb Pie from AH. Sweet Amber Musk. Wow! This throws great (10!) and I think this may have been my favorite scent in the bunch. Different than anything I've ever smelled before. It's romantic with the slightest hint of floral. Wow. Cucumber Mint. This threw very well (10). Just not enough mint for me. I prefer WSP Cuc Mint, which is heavy on the mint. Maybe mixing the two would be awesome? Lavender Apples and Oak- Just like everybody says, this scent is awesome. a bit masculine. Better in wax than oob....It threw great....a 10! Original (Claire Burke). This throws phenomenal (10!) I just didn't love it....there's something in it that's in calamine lotion (which I dont like). Nag Champa. This threw great...I gave it a 10. It's different than other Nag Champs I've tried...It has the slightes hint of floral....which I like, but it's not a true Nag Champ. I may prefer it to real Nag Champ. White Ginger and Amber. Sorry........I don't love it. I gave it a 5 bec, it didn't throw for me...I tried eco, lsz and rrd. I'm going to let it sit/cure and try again.....but I didn't love it oob either. Orange Cr Danish. This oil threw great, but it's not too bakery to me. Get's a 10 for throw. Kinda like orange juice. Christmas Cheer. I like this scent....but it's light on the pine. It threw very well....I gave it a 10! Country Christmas....This is a winner. Throws phenomenal....a big 10!! This is a complex smell for holiday....reminds me of something I used from slatkin a couple years back....it's mistletoe with some other things going on. Mango. It can throw....gave it a 9.....but it reminds me more of melon than mango.....the only mango for me is Mango Sorbet from WSP Badedas. I really liked this scent. Clean and unisex (think Calvin Klein types). Throw is awesome....10! Pear Pleasure......it's ok. It threw an 8 (to me) Red Currant....It is very nice .....reminds me of Votivo......but not nearly as strong. I gave it an 8. I prefer the one from Tony's Tuscan Cypress....It can throw (9)....but definitely not my favorite....it's got that thing that smells like calomine lotion, too (camphor?) Bartlett and Basil- I really liked the complexit of this scent but throw was just ok....I gave it an 8. so far I've yet to find a Pear scent as good as FOH's Jap Pear and Ginseng. Pink Sugar (SNC)- Wow...Wow....Wow. This is awesome....I think it's twin to ICS. I gave it a 10 for throw, 10 for quality...10!!! Strong and Phenomenal! These are some phenomenal oils....for quality and price (around $18/lb). Others not reviewed but that I've used which are definete winners are Almost Paradise (Cocomilk and Peach), Interlude (T M Angel Type), Hot Apple Pie (CM), Little Black Dress, Satsuma and Strawberry Rhubarb....oh yeah and Celtic Moonspice.....and the Issey Miyake Type. If I thought about it, I could probably list more....Good Stuff! I think AH may be my favorite supplier for quality and number of possible oils to pick from....and my order usually arrives in 2 days. Eve
  10. I just got done checking out my ICS Samples in Wax I used igi 4627, fo @ 10%, 2 oz jar with an eco 2 wick. Baked Apples- This is a premium oil for a reason. Throw is outrageous (a 10 for sure!: and perhaps the best apple bakery type that I've smelled (better than NG, FOH, AH-IMO) Apple Strudel- This threw great, I rated it a 10 but I liked the smell of Bk Apples more. Cukes and Melon. Wow. This can throw...l rated it a 10. First time I've gotten this scent to throw. It's similar in scent to CS, but throws much better. Raspberry Guava. Wow. This throws great. I rate it a 10. It smells like FOH, but I couldn't get FOH to throw. This is awesome. Fresh Pear. This was a beautiful scent...but light. I scored it an 8. Witches Brew - This was strong patchouli type. I loved it. As of yet, I haven't been able to get patchouli to throw. This is a good Compromise. Throw was a 10. Cocomilk- This oil was more coconut than peach. It was light. Threw about a 7. I prefer AH's Almost Paradise, which is equal coco and peach. Berries and Pine- I like the scent; the throw was ok...I gave it a 7. I'm gonna let it sit/cure for a bit. I'll check it again in a week, then post. Pine and Peel- This threw better than the other pine/fruit one. It has quite a bit of cinnamon. I gave it a 9. Berries and Twigs- I really liked this scent and it threw great. I gave it a 10. The only other Twig and Berry I have tried was AH. AH has a tartness (which I may prefer) wheras this is more sweet (almost bakery?). Moonlight Path. This can throw. I gave it a 9. It reminds me of Tony's bec it has a hint of fruit to it (unlike the bbw version). I've noticed that the exact bbw dupes (FOH, AH), smell better but don't throw. I guess Tony's and ICS changed it up a bit to improve throw. I do like it. Orange Chiffon Cake. I love this and it throws (A 10!). It is a twin to FOH and NG Hot Org Danish. Hot Org Danish. This can throw, too....I gave it a 10. But I prefer the ICS, Org Chiff Cake or NG Hot Org Danish. Eucalyptus Spearmint- This is a bbw dupe (exact)....the throw is a 10....just realize that it is a light scent. It's a twin to FOH. These are some phenomenal oils Up till know I'd only tried Pink Sugar (10!)(I think it's the best!). Oils are great; prices are great....many are only $13.95/lb. Shipping is reasonable. Eve
  11. After waiting four days, I relit the candles which did not throw for me. NG Angel and Straw Rhubarb. Angel is still weak but the Straw Rhubarb came to life. On a 1-10 scale, angel is still a 2 and strw rhubarb is now a 9 (still prefer AH). AH Lemon Chiffon and Van Sandalwood. The Lemon Chiffon (0) still did not throw at all. The Van Sandalwood is about the same (5). I'm going to try these three oils as tarts, to make sure that the problem is not with the oil itself (subtle). OOB none of them are weak? eve

  16. Finally tested AH Pink Sugar (not the snc one....the one that says bestseller), The throw was phenomenal. 10, on scale of 1 to 10. Igi 4627,10% fo,6 oz jar RRD 47. Filled lg bedroom in 30 minutes. Eve
  17. I couldn't get it to throw real well. I use igi 4627, 10% fo, Eco 2, 2 oz jar. My tester room was the bathroom. (See Post FO Review/VArious Suppliers) I have used AH Strw Rhubarb Pie and it blows this one away. I am going to let it "cure"....although, I've been told this doesnt really work with paraffin. I'll post in a week or two
  18. It's a floral.....maybe the type of floral that you would expect to smell if you walked into a little botique that sold shabby chic pink and white floral bedding and vanities painted white....... hth Eve
  19. I made mp soap once. I got the goats milk base from WSP. I noticed that the bar of soap seemed soft and was gone 1,2,3 (5 oz bar lasted about a week). Is that the nature of mp soap. Is there any type that is hard and lasts longer. thanks for any info. Eve
  20. FO Reviews I've just finished testing a bunch of oils for scent throw as well as my personal take on the oil. I used igi 4627, fo at 10%, 2 oz jar, Eco 2 (lsz and rrd). I'll give you my take on throw, 0 being lowest and 10 being highest. I will also comment on oil itself AH Birthday Cake..........10; a very sweet vanilla type Lemon Chiffon.........0, no throw; tried eco, lsz and rrd. Will Cure & try again Vanilla Lace.............9l sweet vanilla type Satsuma................10; use 8% bec of fuel smell, then it was citrus heaven Issey Miyake............10; beautiful clean, masculine scent Van Sandalwood........5; tried eco, lsz, rrd. My fav linen type scent so far. Creme Brulee................10, Best Creme Brulee....slight burnt vanilla MoonLake Musk.............9; Clean musk. I love this scent. NG Angel.........................2; tried eco, lsz, rrd. Will cure/try later. AH's Better. Carribean..................10; Reminds me of Bird of Paradise (AH) Floral Bouquet...........10; Just like a florist shoppe. Hot Apple Pie............10; Strong but I prefer AH Hot App Pie (CM). Hot Orange Danish.......10; I like this better than FOH Orange Chiff Cake Nag Champa................9; Soft powder like, sensual Nantucket Briar............10; I like this better than wsp Ruby Grapefruit............10; This is tied with WSP Strawberry Rhubarb...... 3; tried eco, lsz, rrd. Will Cure/try again. 21. And you know...when I went thru my box.........they gifted me with a beautiful mousepad. So when I'm on the computer, I can still look at gorgeous candles, soaps, flowers, etc. I still havent put them in wax, but I've got a good feeling. I can't get over the $12.95 per pound price (w/purch of 5) for so many scents that I really like. Thanks for the feedback Eve
  22. I like the quality of the wsp oils. They always seem to throw well. One that I will never give up is Mango Sorbet. Perfect dup of Tutti Dolce The only prob I have had was their BBW dupes. The oils themselves were pleasant and they did throw very well but they were not at all like the origingals........not even close. Yet , the reviews said that they were perfect dupes? The two that I am commenting on are, Moonlight Path and Tranquil Sleep. I believe that one should always buy a sample size with a dup from wsp.....to make sure it's really a dup Some budget ones that I loved were Pink GF, Nantucket Briar and Peony. I didn't love the Mango Papaya bec it doesn't live up to the mango sorbet (imo). hth Eve
  23. One's that I feel are earthy: CS Moon Lake Musk AH Van Sandalwood Tony's Oakmoss These all threw very well in igi 4627, 10%, 6oz jar, eco 8. Nature's Garden Nag Champa smells nice/earthy oob, although, I havent put it in wax yet. hth Eve
  24. Hi I was wondering what happens at a candle making club. What would this group do? tia Eve
