  1. I am waiting for the weather to get cool. I just can't get in the mood to do a show in 100 degree weather. I have been coming up with new scents. I got one called Coon Dog Punch. OMG it sells. I love the funny ones. I mixed nutmeg and vanilla. That is yummy. Warm Chocolate Pudding. Now that is the first one that sells that is chocolate. It smells just like pudding. Got it from Starrville, that is now Bauers Candle Supply. I am still trying to mix what I think a real pumpkin pie should smell like. Last year I ate several pies trying to figure out the scent. But no matter what I mixed, it never smelled like a real pumpkin. Sweet Pumpkin Pie from, I don't remember smells really good and sells, but it does not smell like the real thing. I have tried all the big guys and no one has a real smell. If I come up with it, I think I will be rich. Ok, that is what is in my pot for now.
  2. They could have blended them their selves. You might check with Royal Aromatics. They sell alot of fragrances like that.
  3. You could have just bought a votive. Probably would have put out that much scent. I love it when the other guys candles burn bad. I know, I am bad:D .
  4. that is true, you have to stay with the exact same formula in order to test. Good luck everyone.
  5. You got to be kidding me.I have 400 fragrances in my line, so I know scent. MCs are some of the best scents that I have tried. I can't keep sweet orange and chili pepper on the shelf. Their cinnamon vanilla is the best all around. There are very few scents that I have tried that are weak. I find them to be one of the better companies as far as scent throw. I have used straight soy and now a soy blend. I just don't have any problems with their oils. I would think it may be your wax. Ot the amount of oil you are using. You may have to go up a wick size too. Carol K is an expert with straight soy and Mcs oils. Talk to her. I have a bunch of her tarts and stuff and it is all great and all from MC's.
  6. You will love this wax after using straight soy. It is a nice blend with a great scent throw. You will be surprised how easy it is to work with, and you can use almost any scent and it will throw well. Nothing like soy. Go down on your wick size too. You do not need the bigger wicks for this wax. The only thing is pour at around 170-180. This gives the best throw both cold and hot. Let me know if you need anything else. I have used it for a year or so.
  7. Counter top toaster oven. You can put alot of candles in those at once. Get the biggest one from Wal Mart. It will hold the 26oz. apothecary. This is MUCH faster than a warmer.
  8. This tops them all. I have a toast oven. I put the candles in there on broil for just a minute or so. It completely evens the tops and eliminates all those other steps. I make around 20 cases a day, and this is much faster.
  9. I did a money candles. I just made the label with a 100. bill on it. They sold, but not a big seller. If I could convince them that the bill was real, I might have sold a lot more.
  10. RA sells both, but not sure if they have it together.
  11. Creme Brullee, Bird of Paradise, Strawberry Leather, Muscadine Wine, Fresh Cut Roses, Get-R-Done, Monkey Farts, Cowboy Vanilla, all my three layer candles, Pineapple/Coconut/Vanilla
  12. I haven't tried alot of them. But I love Lone Stars. It is really strong burning, and smells just like a birthday cake. I sell alot of it.
  13. I love Wellingtons, premium scent in nag champa. You can mix it with sandlewood and it is awesome.
  14. I tried NGs Vanilla Pear. Too me it smelled weak. I load my candles down with scent so I am picky. I have had soooooo many request for that scent. They say it is good and strong. l love the scent, just wasn't sure about the throw. Thought I would share. You might want to try this one. :highfive:
  15. Just call it, OMG, it smells just like a peach. That is what they are going to say when they open it. I call mine Fresh Peaches, plus a have a juicy picture of fresh peaches on the label. I am looking for a stronger peach. I love NG's, but it is not strong enough for me. But that is what they say when they open the jar.
  16. You know I love CC. I can eat a whole bag of honey flavored CC. Now I got to go get some. How am I supposed to lose weight and make candles. My secret is using sugar cookie, or creme brulee for CC. They love it, it is strong, and all I hear is how it smells just like it. The the rest of the year I have to fight them to get them to believe that it was actually sugar cookie or creme brulee. In fact I am pouring 4 26oz. CC's this week, because the woman will not beleive me that it is creme brulee, which I have on my shelf poured. :embarasse
  17. I went crazy last year trying to blend everything under the sun, trying to get a true pumpkin pie. I ate several while I was trying to blend. Didn't help, but now I am on a diet. I am still bound to get the scent I want. I have tried almost everyones without success. I went to the mall and smelled ONE candle, years back that was right on it. Now I do not remember the name of the candle. There has got to be one out there. I have had the big suppliers send me a dozen different ones. I don't think they are even close. I know if I finally blend it, I will get rich. lol:yay:
  18. I hate glue dots. I use the wick stickums, they are wonderful. I don't like Bittercreeks, because you have to remove each tab. The fastest ones are the ones 20 to a page. Alot of companies carry those. Just don't make the mistake of using wick stickums to stick everything to the wall, etc. They take the finish off. Found out the hard way.
  19. Spiced Caramel Latte, Latte w/spiced caramel, Caramel Spiced Coffee
  20. This will be good to copy off and hand out to the customers. Then they can choose what they like without worrying. thanks
  21. I am so addicted, that I want to get up at 6:00 and pour candles everyday. I have been doing this going on 9 years. I am in heaven when I pour candles. Christmas comes everytime the new oils come in. It is so exciting. Why is this so addicting? Other jobs are not like that. I keep thinking I would get tired of it. But I haven't so far. I just want more money, so I can make more candles.
  22. I will tell you a secret. I used a lot of their fragrances. They were taking the watermelon off of the scent list, so I ordered 10 lbs. from them before they ran out. They made the mistake in sending the 10lb bottle from their supplier to me, with the suppliers label on it. They charged me 19.00 a lb, and the can said 10.00 a lb from the supplier. Next order was from the supplier. I am not stupid. They used belmay.com on alot of their scents. Some scents I wanted in smaller amounts, so I called them and ask for a scent company that carried a certain scent. I was able to get all of the scents I use from other suppliers. Cool, hugh.
  23. I found a herb looking plant picture. Probably from allposters.com. It looks good.
  24. Tommy, Tommy Girl, Very Sexy, Polo Sport, Coolwater, Magnetism, Hypnotic Poison, Beautiful, Amber Romance, Happy, I haven't found but one from them that was not right on it. Lucky You, don't get that one. It is not good. I have used 100's of their oils, so if you find one you want to know about, e-mail me. debsoldfashion@aol.com
  25. I hate the almond smell. I want a straight strong pound cake scent, and can't find it.
