  1. I used NG, pecan pie. Which is very good alone. But adding the banana from Chemmesence, which is a true yummy banana. It is incredible. I have tried so many, but this one rocks. :highfive:
  2. Yes, I have noticed several that are weak. I don't know what he is trying to do. I guess save money. I don't buy much there anymore.
  3. I love cranberry and Christmas tree blend. Yum
  4. I have had a hard time find a good banana nut bread. So this year I mixed Grannys Pecan Pie with banana, and it is awesome. The best I have found. It is fklying off the shelf. Thought I would share.
  5. I am blessed, my husband makes them with me. He loves to do the shows, and go out and sell. We are a good pair at candle making.
  6. I love their vanilla pear, fresh linen, gardenia, curve
  7. I am from Texas and I agree. I can sell pine and cranberry like crazy. You could call it Coon Dog Punch. That is a Texas drink that most of the customers know about from their senior year. I sell alot of it. I could never sell Twigs either.
  8. I usesd all of those, then I found the best. Wix and Wax Christmas Tree. It smells just like the tree and sell well. They also carry a red dye that gets really red. It is the only red I will use. I just thought if you ordered from them, you might like to know something else everyone is looking for. Can't beat either one.
  9. I hate incense because it smells smokey and too strong. I used to make the charcoal sticks. I loved them. They put out alot of scent, and had more of a true scent, not smokey. The customers loved them. I just don't have time to make them anymore.
  10. MY HAIR, from pulling it out. Man, it went from slow to HELP...........No middle at all.
  11. Ok, I ordered a sample. When it got here it was 2 5lb bags. Nothing writin on it. I don't know what brand it is, or anything. Looks like a powder or fine chrystal. On the reciept is says votive/pillar wax. I don't do votive or pillar. Can I use this in containers? Or is the container wax different? TIA:confused:
  12. I am thinking about trying it. But I wanted to know if anyone is using it and if it throws well. Is it hard to work with, and do you get a throw like parrifin? TIA:yay:
  13. I got 2 ideas. First, tell him it is a Christmas present for him, and he can't see it. When he sees CANDLE COMPANY on the side. Just tell him they sell other things.:tiptoe: Next if it is UPS, you can call or go down and tell them to keep it at the dock, or in will call. Tell them you will pick it up next day. I do it all the time. OR..........................I know a third thing......... . Let him see what you are really doing, so he will know about your true addiction and get you some help.
  14. I personally test them the way they should be burning. Then I tell the customer the burn time for proper burning. And I also tell them that they will get less time if they don't clip their wicks and keep out of a draft. Many of them don't even know to do this. They never read the caution label. I didn't either before I started making them.
  15. I don't see anything wrong! My candles do all of that.:rolleyes2
  16. Man, that has got to be a hot candle to burn the label thru the glass. I would have to see that one.
  17. Mix your own. Apple, mulled cider is good. Or you can mix orange, apple, cinnamon and clove. Makes a great spiced tea.
  18. I mix all my coffees too. Add cinnamon and vanilla to it. It is really good. Just don't forget what you mixed in what. I did one time and had the hardest time trying to figure which was which. I got a book now. DAH!!!!!
  19. Most of the orange spice doesn't smell spicy to me. The orange clove is not a seller for me. I would like to find the one they use on the dried oranges and apples. Now that is nice. But none of our companies sell that. I have been using Wellingtons, but it is still not that great. When I add a touch of cinnamon to orange it doesn't smell good to me. Maybe just my NOSE.:lipsrseal
  20. Out of pumpkin spice, sweet cinnamon pumpkin, and pumpkin bread. The bread sold out fast. The others are slow sellers for me.
  21. Candles seem easy. But as you get into it, it gets harder. I have done this for 9 years and am learning all the time. So get ready. You are lucky that you had a candle that looked good enough to sell. Now I wonder how they will burn. The customer doesn't know that you just started. So you may have a problem once they burn them. If you want to add soy to your wax, this gets into a new ball game. Soy is hard to work with. You have to test a lot. It requires bigger wicks, some scents can not be used with this wax. If it was me, I would stick with parrifin for awhile. It is the easiest to learn on. Or maybe find a preblended soy/parrifin to work with. Hope we can help you. We have all been through a lot, and it takes time to get it right. Start out slow.
