1. I totally agree Satin, I took some candles to work the other day, and they couldn't believe how crafty I was, some even didn't believe I did them, go figure . Well a couple of them asked if I had a catalog, pricing list, and fragrances list and sadly I had to so no.:embarasse I could tell them my scents and things like that, but everything else I didn't have. So needless to say I think a website will have my basic info, pictures and other things in order to complete a sale. I had alot of requests for candles but I don't think I was fully prepared, maybe because I didn't expect such a big response. Until my website is done, I will have to create a general info pack to keep handy just in case someone asks, because I always keep a votive or tealight handy just in case someone asks, where did I get it from, the fragrance usually gets them first anyway.
2. I have been using a red candle dye block that I got from Michael's and I am having the hardest time trying to get a pure red instead of pink. Very nice I must say, and think I may have to try some liquid dyes.
3. Your color problem sounds like mine, I scented my pillar red hot cinnamon and mine came out pink too....I have a pic of it in the gallery. Are you using liquid or dye block. Despite your choice in color, I really like your candles and I bet the smell of the brown sugar smells yummy!!
4. Very nice soap, Angie!!! What fragrance did you use?? The pink & green would go over well with the AKA Sorority!!!
5. Now that I can handle, that's a good one!!!! I am still backordering cozyaromas, but until then I need to grab a few more just in case it doesn't work out...I want to cover all bases. Thanks again for the idea.
6. Sounds great, I really like it Good, I'm just afraid it may be too long. Plus I just don't want to limit myself to candles...eventually I will have a bath & body line. Thanks for the idea!!
7. I like those suggestions, sock monkey, thanks for the ideas!!!! No matter what I choose it has to be something I'll be proud of, and something I can live with, because I hate to make changes especially when it's not always neccessary.
8. I totally agree with ya, I even thought about czyaromas, but that might get confused for crazyaroms. There are people that know who I am so I don't neccessarily think by changing my name from a C to a K will make me lose customers. I think it's just a lot to think about. I don't want it to be to hard so customers will forget, kwim?
9. I really don't like alternating a C for an K, but I really like the name...it's a name that's embedded in my brain, especially with my logo, I have in mind. I think using a K will give me a more country feel. Afterall, I want people to have a sense of coziness and comfort when they use my products. Like the coziness you feel when you sit in front of the fireplace with a great book. Another name for me won't do, it's going to be cozyaromas, just not sure how I will spell it, this sure does suck!!!!! And I don't really want people to confuse my site with the site of the other cozyaromas. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions, what is a girl to do. :undecided
10. AJ, those are very nice sets. What sizes did you use?
11. Christina, they don't look as bad as you think. I just think you are being way to critical of yourself.:awww: I think we sometime expect to much when we first try something out, not realizing that we are going to mess up sometimes. I know I do it all the time. I like it, I automatically knew what it was, oreo cookies are my favorite, especially cookies & cream. Chin up girl, and you'll get it in due time...add it to a scrapbook or something, so you can remember when you started out, I'm sure it will make you smile !!! I'll be looking forward to your next post of the strawberry and blueberry.
12. I like doing this so much I decided to add votives, too!!!! There are a couple of new pics attached: one showing a seam, one showing the bottom of the candle (I need to really clean this up), showing the top of the pillar, and some votives with wick pins.
13. Just Mar-va-Lous, Darling!!! You did an awesome job on those keep up the good work!!!
14. Stacy DH- I really never thought about it like that, thanks for warning me in advance, because I know that if April came and she didn't renew, I know I would've had my hopes up high, thinking I'm about to get the domain I really wanted. It's best that I choose the alternative then I don't have to worry about if she decides to renew or not.
15. Actually Satin, I was kidding about demanding it back , it was just a thought. I can settle on another alternative, but it would be nice to have the original, maybe she won't renew in April.
16. I think you deserve a :highfive: , it looks like you are starting your 2006 on the right foot. Make sure to tell us the issue, so we can be on th lookout for your review.
17. I really like cozyaromasonline.com, and kozyaromas.com, I think I will snag these two up. I will still backorder cozyaromas.com, who knows she might not renew, it's just a risk I will take. I have learned alot from this forum, I knew I could get some helpful advice....thanks again!!!
18. Well I did think about backordering it, and maybe try kozyaromas.com, same pronunciation but different spelling, and it's available.
19. I just went to godaddy.com to see if my name was taken and sure enough it was , now what do I do?:undecided True enough I could use an alternative but I want the original version. So should I back order and wait until April when it expires or could I contact the person that has it, and demand it back and if I do contact the person what do I say??? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
20. Fantastic soaps and I bet they smell good!!! I never knew there was so much room for creativity with CP I thought it was only limited to MP...guess I was wrong!!!:undecided Hands down Brenda those soaps rock !!!
21. Just wanted to warn everyone who uses Southern Belle wooden molds. I just received an email stating that they will no longer sell their wooden molds or cp soapmaking kits after March 1st...so if you use these molds it's best to get them now, because once they are gone, they're gone....:embarasse Here the email: We have some changes on the horizon here at Southern Belle Soaps. As of March 1st, we will no longer be selling our wooden soap molds, soap cutters, or our soapmaking kits (which include our small mold). My husband is changing jobs and will be unable to build them. We regret any inconvenience this may cause, and are trying to let all of our customers know well ahead of time in the event you want to stock up on them now. HOWEVER, WE ARE *NOT* GOING OUT OF BUSINESS! Due to changes in hubby's upcoming work schedule, scaling the business down to a more manageable level was the only feasible solution for us. ***We cannot stress enough - MARCH 1st is the absolute cut off if you would like to purchase additional molds.** * After that time, the molds will be pulled from our website and Ebay store, and no orders for them will be honored. We will be retaining the copyright on our molds and cutters should we eventually decide to make them again in the future. We appreciate all of our customers who have purchased molds from us over the past five years. The molds we have built will withstand many, many years of soapmaking and serve you well. I have been using the original molds my husband built for me over six years ago, and they have only gotten better with each use! We will still carry our oil-based soapmaking dyes, base oils and emollients, butters, beeswax, additives, premium fragrance oils, and some of our packaging options. We will be revising our overall inventory after March 1st with an updated and current list of supplies. We are excited about the forthcoming changes, and look forward to serving you with the same friendly, down-home service you have come to expect from our company. We have been blessed beyond measure with some of the very best customers in the country, and appreciate each and every one of you. Happy New Year! Stacie and family http://www.SouthernBelleSoaps.com
22. wow with so many options I have alot to choose from....oh but I better make my final decision by this weekend. I know my duckies will be a definite v-day favor...I need to order those asap from oriental trading. BTW thanks for all the wonderful ideas.
23. I like those bottles too...I found some at From Nature with Love. Here's the link: http://fromnaturewithlove.com/package/product.asp?product_id=botheart7
24. That looks real nice, my dad is an avid chess player, and he collects all types of chess sets, that would be a neat set to add to his collection....keep up the good work.
25. Thanks Michelle for the input...now I have to check my molds to see if I have those particular sizes.
