  1. I like the leaf better, try putting everything in brown or gold font you had earlier and if it doesn't look good you look you can always retreat to black font. Good luck on your decisions I know its hard that is why I don't have a logo yet.
  2. Ok I can only get one pic to look 1/2 way decent and then I had to go outside and take the pic What I did in this pic is I cut up chunks of soap and put them in the bottom of my mold then laid the lizard on top of the chunks and did an overpour. It doesn't look like it in the photo but in person it looks like he is sitting on rocks. I made sure some of the chunks stuck out the top too representing rocks. Also, I didn't melt the overpour all the way so it has like darker spots throughout which makes it look like a pond or creek he is in. This one is just plain soap no OO to make it darker I know sounds gay but it really does look better in person
  3. ok i will post a pic I have to go get my cam and i need to pick up my taxes today so when I get back i will do that. it will be late in the afternoon tho. I am having way too much fun with the critters but for right now i need to get some coffee in me and wake up i worked last night and i am dead tired
  4. Yesterday I made critter soaps (lizards) in bars and wanted to do something different so I added a tad of OO to the clear base just to see what would happen. It has a slight cast to it, which I knew it would. Anyway you can still see the lizard pretty good and I am thinking about calling it 'critter swamp soap' or 'swamp soap' something like that lol. I know its probably a stupid idea as many of mine are but out here in the boonies it just might go over with the kids. Who knows but I am gonna try it. Never hurts to try
  5. Well, I am sorry but I just don't like roses as a design in anything EVERYONE has those. Plus you changed the color scheme and I don't think it has an advantage over anyone elses logo at this point. I would stay with everything on the first design just change the rose. Are you set on having a rose ??? Definately the first one you posted was more elegant.
  6. I agree I like the font, I wouldn't change it, it looks simple but yet elegant. I would work on the flower a tad tho but thats all. Colors are great too.
  7. Now that I think about it I would ditch 'garden' too but I absolutely love the lavender and the tub. If you use 'luxury' I still think a nice relaxing bath and I don't think garden, heck I wasn't even thinking garden until it was mentioned in this thread. I think the logo is great and I wouldn't change that at all. However I am not real cracked up on that font for the word 'luxury' - doesn't look bad in 'mary' but just dont like it in luxury (in the 2nd pic on this page). I like candlemans idea of just 'mary's luxuries' but gotta leave that lavender with the tub, JMO
  8. Ok since I totally got lost on the fonts there and which pic is which this is the font I like not sure which pic it is since msgs got combined
  9. I really like this one the best, great job !! ETA - ok i really do like this logo the best but after I posted and sat here looking at it some more I think the M & G are just a tad too scrolling...i agree with everyone else the font from the 2nd pic is better but I like this layout of words best...if that makes sense... I just love this logo!!!! makes me wanna go take a bath & relax. When I look at this logo i think summer/spring/refreshing/relaxing/calm/peaceful
  10. i got that too, its just not you
  11. Has anyone ever used this in M&P or maybe even CP or HP soap? I have some here that I bought at kroger and I was just wondering if I could put it in M&P. Here are some descriptions of what i found. internet search Sesame Seed Oil has been used as a healing oil for thousands of years. Sesame oil is mentioned in the Vedas as excellent for humans. It is naturally antibacterial for common skin pathogens, such as staphylococcus and streptococcus as well as common skin fungi, such as athlete's foot fungus. It is naturally antiviral. It is a natural anti inflammatory agent. MMS Saponification Value: 190 mg KOH / g of Fat I was a little worried about introducing sesame oil since the visions I conjure in my head were of spicy Asian food. Don't think dark, toasted, spicy, pungent or the many other words to describe Sesame Oil purchased from the Asian foods market. Our sesame oil is cold pressed, light yellow, almost odorless and wonderfully rich in nutrients for the skin. We are sure you will love it once you try it. After reading this I was thinking this might work like tea tree maybe ??? My son has athlete's foot I was thinking about trying this or would I be better off trying tea tree for my sons problem ?
  12. you got instructions? surely there can't be that much to it, i just didn't want to waste time, i sure didn't get any with mine. well !!! i am dying to use these molds. i think i am going to use them w/o anything and go from there. i had to order supplies from 3 different places so i am itching to get something accomplished today. thanks shannon
  13. I finally got all my supplies in so I could use my milky way molds. I have read conflicting things about these molds. Some threads say to use mineral oil if soaps won't release, other things I read say NOT to use mineral oil. Others say to put in the freezer others don't. What is the real deal I am confused. Any comments would be appreciated annettra
  14. If that is anything like your herbal citrus soap I know its good !!!! Love the color
  15. Very nice !!! is this a foaming scrub by chance ?
  16. I am not sure about the oil suppliers but a company i buy supplies from sent out a newsletter a couple months back that said victoria secret & BBW sent them a letter. they had to change all their dup names. here is the list of scents they had to change http://www.naturesgardencandles.com/candlemaking-soap-supplies/category/newsletter-1206
  17. hiya sock, thanks a bunch !!! you know i have been on that website, ummm tons of times and i never saw that !!!! too many other good things to look at !!!!
  18. I would like to make this m&p recipe for my step mothers birthday this week and i can't figure out this recipe for m&p soap, can someone help me, part of the recipe is listed as .... 250g m&p soap base 1mls eo ok!!! i admit i am totally stupid when it comes to math. can someone show me how to convert these 2 things to simple ounces or at least tell me how much a mls is ??? and yes i feel totally stupid asking this question 1 mls = 1 gram ?? or .034 oz ??? 250g = 8.8 oz ?? or is it 10 oz ??? am i even on the right track here ????
  19. I like the first one, it seems more refreshing. cleanglow makes me think pastels, lighter, fresher, uplifting not dark and heavy. maybe change the background color on the first one ?
  20. Well I am not sure, I am researching that right now before I actually hit the 'check out button' LOL I have about 30 scents from NG and I am going thru their list to see if mine are soap safe. If you have some suggestions for BB then let me know, hell whats another few bucks at this point.
  21. I can't believe you haven't tried it yet, I see threads where you have tried ALMOST EVERYTHING !! Well I ordered some for gardeners soap along with the beeswax you mentioned. I hope it turns out good. This brambleberry site you suggested is getting way more money outta me that I intended to spend......grrrrrr I wish I could order just what I need but then I look ahead and say well I will use that later, its the dang shipping charges that make me spend more than I want too !!!!
  22. LOL i just saw those, hey did you know they come in yellow and white ? With all my searching first time I have seen the white Hey, while I have your attention (winks) can you substitute something else for the bentonite clay ???
  23. Great, thanks for the help I am putting in an order so I am going to take your suggestion and go witht he beeswax instead of the steric. Nitra
  24. Thanks PA How much beeswax do you suggest to start out with a couple tablespoons ??
