  1. I think the hang tags look really nice. Your entire product looks very professional. You've done a great job!
  2. I agree with Bella Soy that there is TOO much information on that web site. I clicked on the link out of curiosity, but after reading about two paragraphs of her life story and scrolling down to see there was still a WHOLE lot more to read, I closed out of the site. Blah, blah, blah.
  3. Wow! I REALLY like the look! BizzyB's rocks big time. I have been impressed with every logo I have seen her create on this board. I love the candles in the tins. You've done a wonderful job. The whole package is a winner!
  4. Take care of yourself, Shell. Once you are feeling better, you might want to get your hands dirty and play in the wax again. In the meantime, please do not be a stranger to this board. We are all here rooting for a speedy recovery!!! Hugs and prayers, Bev
  5. I have never had that happen to me, but I would think that as long as the wicks still have coating on them, they should be fine to use.
  6. Yup, that's soy for ya! I love it, though, even if it isn't the prettiest thing to look at! (That's probably what my hubby says about me!)
  7. Those are so pretty! Donita has surely been a great inspiration to so many people on this board. Donita, your dad had the right idea! It's great that you are sharing your art with others. You're a wonderful teacher!
  8. Congratulations. I became truly legit this year as well. Trademarked, local business license, sales tax #, business registered with the state. It feels GOOD! Here's to a successful business!!!
  9. That is FANTASTIC! I love suppliers like Becky!!
  10. I can't work on candles this weekend. My BABY boy is graduating high school on Saturday!!! :yay:
  11. I recently received an order from them and received the mouse pad as well. And some cute little daisy soap samples. Their customer service is great! Be sure to fill out and return their customer satisfaction survey. I always try to pay compliments to suppliers like these to let them know how much we appreciate them!!
  12. Don't know if you're still taking opinions, but I liked #5 the best!
  13. I've been complimented many a time as being a good baker, but I have never turned out such scrumptious looking muffins! Those look good enough to eat!!!
  14. I print my own labels on my inkjet printer. I use the Avery Design Pro program. This is a FREE download and it is easy to use. See if you can click on this link ... you'll find the free download here. http://www.avery.com/us/Main?action=software.AverySoftwareDetail&catalogcode=WEB01&softwarecode=3200
  15. I always love looking at your work. I only wish my little mind could look at a bunch of flower petals and envision a beautiful creation like that! How lucky for everyone that you were able to tap into your God-given talent and do the work that you do! Once again ... beautiful!!!
  16. That was a FANTASTIC deal! Congratulations on your find!!
  17. I have been attempting to shrink wrap my votives with shrink wrap tubing and they don't look so hot. Could you please post a pic of how you do yours, GingerKay. As for tins, I use the 2-1/2" round labels on the lids only. No rectangular labels on the sides.
  18. I am still trying to master shrink wrapping votives. Mine end up looking like crap. I was thinking of putting colorful paper shreds between the votives in my boxes. Has anyone had any success doing that?
  19. I need to get some different tart molds!! Those are really cute!!
  20. It looks good. And it's just a popsicle stick? Did you use the entire width of the stick or did you cut it in half?
  21. Your daughter is so very sweet. That was a wonderful thing to do for you. I will keep her in my prayers. I had to sneak a peek at the website and your products are very nice! For a website that's not completed yet, it's looking awfully good! Best of luck.
  22. My customers haven't said a thing about the wet spots either. Like AngelaVA said, most of them have their faces in them - LOL! I think they care more about how they smell. Go to a Yankee store, Wal-Mart, Target, etc. You'll see the wet spots in their candles, too. Before you started making your own candles, did you ever notice them? I know I didn't! We are harder on ourselves than our customers are!!
  23. My unburned 100% soy candles get powdery tops sometimes after sitting for periods of time. I also sometimes get the brainy look after a first burn, but after subsequent burns, they get a smoother look. Soy is so weird (but so am I ... I guess that's why I like it so much. ) I let my customers know not to be alarmed if things like this happen, that it's a natural characteristic of soy wax but does not affect the quality of the product. So far I haven't had any complaints.
  24. Did you take pictures of this experiment? I'd love to see them if you did!
