  1. Those are SO Pretty!! One day, if I ever get a workshop, I would like to venture into making more creative candles like these. Good job!!!
  2. I'm still testing these wicks but I am really liking them so far! I received my samples pretty quickly, but my thoughts are that they just got inundated with a ton of requests and are behind in sending out the samples. You'll be happy once they arrive ... you get a very generous variety of these wicks!!
  3. He kind of resembles a melting snowman! Poor little Teddy!!!
  4. Me, too! Glad I'm not the only one. :smiley2:
  5. Thanks, Tonyalkay. I plan to try the Eco 4 and wait a while before I burn again. Hopefully that will do the trick! And I was excited about this wax, too, when I saw that you could pour it hot and how beautifully it set up!!
  6. If you are, in fact, using EZSoy, I like Eco wicks.
  7. If you set up shop and carry EZSoy, I will be one of your best customers!
  8. I think a name badge is a good idea. I like the fact that you have your logo on your badge along with your name. It helps identify who you are and what product line you are selling.
  9. I like the simplicity of it as well! It really catches the eye, too. It's nice!
  10. I let it cure three days. I will let it cure a bit longer to see how it does. I think, too, I need to wick down one ... I think that would eliminate the smoking and dancing flame. I'll let you know how it goes in a few more days. Thanks!!
  11. I'm in the process of compiling my notes (written on scraps of paper) into a nice three-ring binder. One of my New Year's resolutions was to get organized!!
  12. I poured Blackberry Crumble in the Greenleaf 70/30, used 8 oz. jj with Eco 6 wick. This wick works great in my EZSoy but is smoking and flickering in the Greenleaf. I have a good scent throw, but it's not as good as what I get with my EZSoy. Will try a different wick and see if that helps. Any suggestions are welcome! I would like to get this wax to throw good for me ... I just love the way it pours so smooth and creamy and love the fact that you can pour it hot!
  13. There is only one that I know of in St. Louis and it's Missouri Candle & Wax on Park Ave. They are outrageously high and yet call themselves a "wholesaler." I went there once ... looked like a junk store!
  14. Where are you located? I'm in Glen Carbon, IL. I get my EZSoy from Bittercreek North. Believe it or not, it's cheaper for me to purchase it from them and have it shipped directly to my doorstep than it is for me to pick up wax from a supplier in downtown St. Louis, which is where I work!
  15. I also like Lonestar's Caramel Apple. Good combination of the tart green apple and the sweet caramel.
  16. A few of my favorites are: Pink Sugar Mediterranian Fig White Tea & Ginger Green Tea My list could be a lot longer than this, though. Peaks FOs are great!!
  17. I have had these samples in my cupboard for months now and decided this weekend to pour some candles just for me. I use EZSoy wax and poured Green Tea from Peaks and Peace from Scented Bean. OMG!! My house smelled wonderful yesterday and I was burning these candles!!! I couldn't believe the great hot throw I got from each of them. If you haven't tried either of these FO's, I would highly recommend them!!!
  18. My firestarters are scented with Cinnamon FO, so I put that warning on there.
  19. Here is how my label reads: CAUTION: Firestarters are NOT candles. DO NOT burn outside of fireplace or campfire!! DO NOT use to start pits or grills that are used for food preparation. Check owner’s manual before burning in wood stoves. Keep Firestarters out of the reach of children and pets. All standard fire precautions should be used when using Cabin Dream Firestarters.
  20. I sold some small ceramic casserole candles at a craft fair last year. I slipped them into cello bags and tied with a ribbon.
  21. I'm very interested in getting a magazine like this! I'd love to see how people set up for shows (I need a way to spark some creativity), different ways of improvising work space when you don't have a shop to work out of, information on wholesaling and consignment, samples of wholesale and consignment contracts, information on tax issues, different marketing strategies, information on insurance, fundraiser information, etc. I've emailed you, too. Thanks!!
  22. I started with soy so I don't know much about paraffin. I tested a lot of soy waxes and a lot of wicks before I chose to use EZSoy. I have different wicks for different containers, mostly Ecos and CDs. I agree that soy can sometimes take on peculiar characteristics such as bumpy tops or frosting, but neither my customers nor I seem to mind it.
  23. I have a case of jars of each size that I use just for testing. I reuse these jars for testing purposes only. I keep them in the original box with the word "testers" marked on the box in black magic marker. I currently offer 8 oz. and 4 oz. jelly jars and am testing 8 oz. square masons, so I have 3 cases total of tester jars. I never pour all of them at once!
  24. I am impressed with how smooth and creamy this wax is. I poured my sample last night. Added a sample of their Blackberry Crumble FO, colored it blue. It looks WONDERFUL and has a great cold throw. Can't wait to start burning to see how it performs. Anyone else love the fact that you can pour this wax HOT and still have it set up beautifully smooth?! I'll let you know how it performs after I burn it.
