    At times I've cursed the fact that our garage is under our house (takes half of our basement away), but now I'm grateful. It stays pretty cool in my garage, even in the summer, so I've never had to worry about the wax melting like that. Yikes!

    It is SO great to be back! I was having severe withdrawal!!! Thanks to Alan and all the others who brought us "back to life" again!!!!

    I, too, add my dye after the wax has melted, then add my FO shortly before I pour. Also, make sure you measure the FO by weight. A digital scale is by far the best way to go. You can get them at most any store that sells kitchen stuff. I got mine at Walmart.

    I do the exact same thing. Use a needle nose pliers ... it's really easy.

    I've seen them at Sam's Club. Don't know if Costco has any but it's worth a look.

    I'll be doing Cinnamon Balsam, Cornucopia, Grandma's Kitchen, Mulberry, Pumpkin Spice, and Spiced Apple for fall and winter.

    8 oz. jelly jars and 4 oz. quilted jelly jars. People love the 4 ozer's to sample a fragrance before they purchase the larger sizes.

    I was at our local Cracker Barrel restaurant recently and saw some small hex jar candles for sale. They had no labeling whatsoever except for the fragrance. I commented to my husband that I couldn't believe they could sell candles packaged this way in a store!

    Those are so neat. And thanks, Candle Man, for sharing your "recipe." I think I am going to make some of those for my fall craft fair in November. Scented in Cinnamon and displayed in a basket, I think they would be a real hit.

    I was using the Ecosoya VB and had the same problems. Had too much wax left to ditch, though, so started making votives with 1/2 VB and 1/2 Ecosoya CB135. That seemed to have solved the problem and I still get nice, firm votives. When the Ecosoya VB is used up, though, I'm going to try the KY.
