  1. Their "Green Clover and Aloe" is super strong but as soon as I added it I had chunks of concrete in my bowl. ( cp )
  2. Really great job on that embed.
  3. I use GL 70/30 and double wick those jars with 2 LX-16 or 2 LX-18 ( depends on the fo ) I have some HTP wicks I'm going to start testing because the mushrooms are huge with the LX. I get a good meltpool and throw and the jar doesn't get too hot.
  4. Do you have a TJ Max around? They usually have a ton of baskets and great containers that you can use as baskets. Sorry, I didn't see Michi's post.
  5. Looks like a spammer to me. The donate button on his site was my first clue, says he needs a new melter. Also his behavior here was not indicative of a "good" Christian and of someone that is really trying to help the needy. End of story.
  6. Well gee you didn't waste a single second of my time. You had answered your own question before I could even put my fingers on the keyboard:grin2:
  7. I know The Chemistry Store fo's are really strong. I have 2 dupes and they are true to the original. ( I bought them for soaping and haven't put them in wax )
  8. Yes, I have wanted to try a few others just to compare to see if there is much difference but haven't yet.
  9. I was able to see them finally! Good job, everything looks great.
  10. Cajun Candle Supply has the strongest cocomango I have used.
  11. LaVida I don't know if it's my computer or what but I can never see your pics.
  12. That is beautiful. What a lovely centerpiece.
  13. You can also add 1-2 tsp. of Vybar 343 per lb of wax. Depending on the fo, I can use up to 1.5 oz of fo per lb. I've never had to use stearic, I read about how peeps have problems getting the palm out of molds and I have never had that problem. It has always released easily from any type mold I use. ( knock on wood ) Also it seems that palm throws better the longer it cures.
  14. I use Candlewics and have for several years. Never had any problems with it and they have it on sale quite often.
  15. I do the same except I use a plastic funnel that fits really snug in the opening. Best way I have found so far.
  16. I didn't see " Satsuma" on anyones list. Man is that a good one. Write it down for next time.
  17. You have probably heard this before but a wick can make all the difference in scent throw. I tested with 2 LX-20's and the throw was really strong but I wasn't completely happy with the burn so I'm testing with 2 HTP 83's ( same wax, same jar, same fo and amount ) Okay, the burn is very similar ( as far as melt pool width and depth ) but now instead of the throw being all through the house it's only strong in the one room. If you know your oil is good and strong and should be throwing then try a different wick. Some wicks just work better with different wax/fo combos.
  18. Some of my liquid dye is 2 yrs. old and it smells the same to me. I do know that if you use too much that a candle will get that strong chemical smell. Sorry that I'm no help at all.
  19. Or go with the tried and true trusty metal tape and put the mold sealer away for good:wink2:
  20. Okay, I said this for a reason:embarasse I found 5 cases of 26 oz Elevation jars in my shed that I had completely forgotten about so I brought in a few to test wicks and needed to figure my cost in case I decide to sell any. That meant having to pull out several years worth of receipts to find out how much I paid for the jars. Since I was thinking the purchase was made a min. of 2 yrs. ago ( got a kickin price on em by the way ) I went back to 2003, so flippin through the yearly receipts bout gave me a heart attack!!!!!! My first thought was, man I need to get rid of these things. If I die and my kids go through my stuff and see how much money I have spent on my hobby they will think I was beyond nuts! I didn't look at 2005 and 2006 and they include B&B stuff so it's gotta be way worse. :embarasse I feel like Scarlett Ohara when she says " I'll think about it tomorrow"
  21. WOW!!!!!! Those are awesome!!!! Looks like the real thing.
  22. Perfect for Angel Wings. Beautiful candles.
  23. That's how I do it to. I also get my tealight wicks from Candle Science.
