  1. Once again, newbie here!! What does it mean to "grunge" your candles? I am researching how to do bundt cakes and I read a couple articles that said to grunge the bottom, top, sides of the cake. What the heck?? What is this?? And what kind of wax do I use for bundt cakes--pillar wax??
  2. I am going to try this!! Thanks for all the help... I was just not sure if you could layer a container candle and make it work without bleeding --I'm still learning the basics of all this
  3. okay once again I am new to this candlemaking biz, but it sounds like all of you agree that C&S sucks?? Are you referring to candlesand supplies.com because I have ordered some stuff from them and I am wondering after reading these messages, if I should quit ordering from them...are they that bad??
  4. I am new to all this, as you can tell. I ordered a candy cane scent and was wondering about the color for the wax. I am doing containers...how can I make it stand out?? I was thinking of leaving the wax white and after I pour it, before it cools, just swirl some red dye in the middle/top like peppermint swirls cause I am using a one-pour wax, so I don't have to worry about a repour. I am just concerned about how it will "mix" without really mixing/stirring the dye in...how will it dry and will it affect the burn?? Has anyone done such a thing or do you have another color suggestion?? I would love to layer it red-white-red-white, but I don't know how to layer container candles or even if you can without bleeding. Any help would be appreciated!!:undecided
  5. I am new to all of this and I don't know what can of wax to use or how to make one or anything, but I really want to try. I have only made container candles so far and gel candles---can anyone give me more info!!???
  6. Can anyone tell me how to make a bundt cake candle?? You know the size of a real pound cake. Can you use a regular bundt pan?
