  1. Wowsers! That is some awesome looking soap!
  2. Dang and I complained about 3 lyrs. Good job!
  3. As usual those rustics are drool worthy:drool:
  4. Sal butter is the hardest butter I have seen/worked with.
  5. I have to say that out of the many suppliers that I have dealt with that Peak comes in number 1 consistently for the best customer service!! Now if only they weren't so darn far away. Although shipping has always been reasonable. In fact the saving on fo % wise typically covers the shipping.
  6. Yeah and that use to be for first time customers only. Now it's for all orders. I have spent a lot of money with them and the last time I put in an order it came to $48.00 ( not including shipping ) so I got an e-mail informing that they couldn't put the order through. My thoughts are, no problem, I can always get the oils somewhere else and I did. I realize that it's a pain when they have to box up an order for a few $ but this was the only time my order was less than several hundred dollars so for now they are on my sh!t list. They had a lot of oils that I liked but nothing that i won't be able to find somewhere else.
  7. Well then by all means you should continue to order from her.
  8. Those are simply adorable. What a great gift.
  9. This is what she will get in the future when she wants a special occasion candle. White with an appropriate label ( coconut ) her fave. The tealites were fun to do and very easy but I will NEVER layer a container again if I can help it . Biggest pain in my head. fo on the layer big one is cherry, strawberry and vanilla. Palm containers are apple pie.
  10. I have great respect for those of you that layer container wax. Hope I never try it again!! These are again for my dil.Hex is palm (apple pie)
  11. Looks great and the flags add a really nice touch. I have a whole new respect for those of you that layer container candles since I tried my first ones this weekend. What a pita!
  12. Better yet go to a thrift store and buy them for .50 The coffee pots are great for votives also.
  13. Try a 30 ply flat braid. After securing the wick to the bottom of the mold then twist the wick until you have a fairly tight twist. Pull taut and secure with whaterver it is you use. ( I use bamboo sticks rubber banded together) The reason for doing this is it will keep your burn straight in the middle where it should be because as the candle burns the wick gradually turns around so you don't have a one sided burn. Also LX 24-LX 28 ( depending on the fo ) works well.
  14. Whoop!!! That deserves a ride to check them out. Too cool! Let me know if you decide to go!
  15. Yeah but think how much money you're saving!! The couple of $ per lb can now be spent on fo:yay:
  16. I have a recipe for some mousse that is really easy but it's packed away somewhere. I sent it to Shutterbug and maybe she has it handy?? I got it from the dish and you mix everything in one bowl. MaryinCary's recipe looks pretty easy also. Don't forget the preservative.
  17. Maryann , I think it is the humidity that causes the clumps. I had some foot soak that I had mixed up ( salts, baking soda, some powdered milk and eo's etc.) I covered it with glad press and seal and put it in a cabinet in the kitchen until I could package it. A few days later it had quite a few hard small pebbles that looked like it was mostly the baking soda and salts that combined with the moisture from the eo had in fact clumped up. It gets extremely humid here in FL so my suggestion would be to make sure and seal it real well and don't add your liquid ingredients until you are ready to package it. I use the disposable glad containers ( Tupperware would be better cause you could burp it lol ) Also after mixing in the liquid try sifting it since I think that helps incorporate all the ingredients. Now that I have blathered on, to answer your question I don't know of a product specifically made to inhibit clumping. Oh yeah, one more thing, if you have "Natrasorb Bath" this is an excellent way to add your oils and fo. It keeps the moisture out of the mix and when it hits the water it releases the fragrance and oils. Sorry for the book:cheesy2: Hope the info helps.
  18. Wow, she has an unbelievable collection of molds.
  19. Peak is the best and strongest that I have tried. Cut way back on it though, add about 1/2 as much as you normally would. Also it soaps like a dream. I have some bars that are over a year old and they are still nice and strong.
  20. I haven't put it in wax but NG's is too delicious in B&B. Peeps want in scrubs, lotions, bath soak, shampoo/conditioner etc. I haven't tried it in CP either.
  21. Well poop poop and double poop!! I didn't realize that it automatically had me logged in. You can go to the main link http://www.obiwholesale.com/ and go to electric and from there view the candle warmers and from electric there is a drop down that shows the oil warmers. Let me know the # and I'll get the price for you. Or to join it's a simple matter, all you need is an e-mail address and tax id #. Sorry about that.
  22. Excellent! Did you use any mica? It has a nice shimmery look to it.
