  1. Dang, Gup, why didn't you just copy and paste their entire fo page:rolleyes2 I do not have any sniffies or I would send them to you. I'm afraid to start ordering from there. I'm telling you, I make a list, pare it down, go back and look at the prices, revise the list, go back and look at the prices, change the size of the bottles, go back and look at the prices, change to list to the most wanted, go back and look at the prices and change the list again. I couldn't tell you how many of the " lists" I have made and lost. My daughter is still waiting on one that I promised I would order to make her stuff and I can not only order a lb of fo and justify the shipping, hence my relentless list making. Never heard as many raves from so many sources about an fo suppliers fo's as I have for SW. I do not need another addiction so I will not return to this thread again. :laugh2:
  2. Oh thank you, that is sweet news indeed. So glad that "Shutterbugs" going on about it and how good it was made me try it because like you I also love the citrus ( maybe cause we're Florida girls:cool2: ) but as you know it's almost impossible to find a good one.
  3. Those numbers make me crazy!! I'll be at work and be thinking about my oils sitting at home all alone and how they want to be soap and when I get home and start plugging in # then I end up running away from the computer. Add some of this, remove some of that, ooops made the conditioning # go down, change this oil, oops made the hardness go way down, on and on and on. I think I need to stay away from it for a while, find a simple recipe, soap it and if it works then start playing with it and the #. It's like I have just enough knowledge to know that I don't know what I'm doing. By jove I know how to use GM now though and thank you again:rolleyes2
  4. Boy, it doesn't get any better than that does it? Are you finding that most of the fo's you were previously using are also throwing well in the 70/30? Now that I soaped some of that Satsuma I'm ready to try in wax. Your candle had a very pretty burn but how did the Satsuma throw? The 70/30 is what I am going to test it in also. If it's not a great thrower then I don't want to waste it cause it behaves great in soap and is smelling good enough to eat. ( cp )
  5. I rarely use a water bath but when I do, on a regular size pillar mold, then what I use are those round concrete thingies that I think are used to protect your sprinkler head in the yard.
  6. I tried to make them a couple of times ( with different recipes ) each time was a total disaster. My oldest daughter really wanted some so I gave her the link to "Kristine's Shower".
  7. I haven't used their MP but I have ordered a lot of stuff from them. Good products and service. The only time I had to pay a service fee was when I ordered lye.
  8. I make a foot scrub for myself and that's what I use. Gets those tootsies very clean. ( I haven't tried in bar soap though )
  9. HP was my first attempt at making soap. To me it was easier and less confusing. I still think it's easier although I prefer cp because of the way my finished bars look. Read the tutorials on both and see which one looks like the one you want to tackle first. To me, the most important thing is lye safety. ( the stuff scares me so I'm very careful with it) I don't understand why anyone would think that you needed to know how to do cp first.
  10. Verrrrry slow shipping. It seems like it took a bit over a month to get my molds the one time I ordered from them.
  11. No offense but if I'm sick then the very last thing I would want is to smell a fragrance of any kind. Lets say I went to the Dr. because I had the flu, if the room was filled with the smell of florals then I would be in the bathroom heaving in record time. In my opinion, care givers and food servers should never wear any sort of fragrance other than unscented deodorant. If it is for your own personal office then I would think that an air freshener would be sufficient.
  12. I used one of my failed attempts at liquid soap to clean the toilet. Worked just fine. ( plus the bathroom smelled nice)
  13. Or use the handy calculator found to your left under General Information.
  14. That is beautiful! I also like to use things other than the traditional baskets. To me it gives it a very unique look. Great job.
  15. You are on a roll!! Don't know why but those candles remind me of lying on the beach soaking up the sun. ( use to do a whole lot of that ) Beautiful as usual.
  16. And the Borax will kill fleas also! Never tried it for carpet fresh but now I will. Thanks for the info.
  17. Well stupid me didn't even begin to answer your question. I'll look tonight and tell you the ones that I think are yummy.
  18. Very pretty and thank you for not making us wait forever to see them cut!! Great job, love the colors and the top.
  19. Looks great! If your first attempt looks that good just think how they will look after some practice.
  20. That is a good saying to go by. I use it a lot and for many different applications. Another one I like that my Grandmother said a lot ( she had a kazillion sayings that I wish I had written down) is " Don't sweat the small stuff" and "is it something that bothers you enough that you will remember it a year from now?"
  21. The fairies and angels are my favs too. Michael you are right about the front page. I wouldn't have seen those pillars had I not been searching for the " mushroom" thing. They need something that immediately shows off what they have. Maybe even one of several styles ( nice big clear pictures ) and then you could move to the links for the different types. I also agree about the price. When you have a quality product, charge for it. Any of you artist/mold makers out there got your creative juices flowing yet?
  22. I just use baking soda mixed with my favorite fo.
  23. Every year when I'm really in the mood for the nice warm holiday scents it seems like all I get are orders for all the fruity ones. In fact I have 12 pillars, 8 8oz sq. tins. and 3 of the 9 oz hex jars, not to mention the votives, all in great winter smells from last year. Maybe because last year it was so hot here all winter?
