I am looking for a true sandalwood scent for soap. I have ordered so many sandalwood FO's and none come close. Does anyone know of a tried and true one? Any tips/hints would be MORE than appreciated.
The ladies in my family are bath addicts. We love to lounge in the tub with a candle and book. So, that is where I came up with the idea. THanks for the compliments.....
I am heading up north to my sisters baby shower and my family always buys stuff from me. So yes, I will be selling them. I figure I will mark them at 7.50 a set. Bear in tub is an extra 2.50....LOL
Well I have been soaping like a loon, and have done all of my testing for candles and managed to make some combos..... Cucumber & melon: Lilac: Coconut Cream: I am having way too much fun over here lately!!!! Thanks to everyone for your endless help and answering all of my questions! :highfive:
THanks Ladies I am so proud to call him my dad. And sorry I did not mean to hijack the thread........ I was just wanting to show that the anise EO DOES work!!!!!
I know the anise oil works really well with fishing...... My dad wanted me to make some and I did.....I cannot stand the smell of it. But I made soap, and spray........ He put everything that he was going to wear the next day fishing into a garbage bag and sprayed it with the spray that I made him and let it sit overnight. Then the morning he was to go out fishing he showered with my soap, and put on those now anise scented clothes....... throughout the day he would spray himself and especially his hands. And lures and what-not...... and look at what he caught!!! http://www.geocities.com/nuttyforsoaps/bones.html
I have just made a soggy soap this morning and it is looking pretty good. I basically used the recipe posted by crying moon. Looks wonderful. I added tea tree oil and lavender...also used oatmeal water instead of adding regular to it. (it was a special request from a pet sitter) She was thrilled when I told her that I saw a recipe for a doggy bar......... HUGE thanks Crying Moon!!!!!!
WOW hun, for your first try you did WONDERFUL!!! On mine I had a volcano....I soaped way too hot, but I got things under control and my very first batch is still my favorite batch! Great job, can't wait to see it cut!!!
