  1. Those are awesome, love them all! I've been researching these as well. Did you buy all the parts, including the vase part, or did you actually make the vase part from something else? I'd love to be able to make these and sell them, but like you I'm kind of afraid of the liability and how stupid people can be. :undecided
  2. I cut mine 1/4" which is what they should be cut to before every burn. As for "triple scenting" it's a crock IMO!
  3. I actually really like those colors, even though I prbably never would have thought to put them together (especially with the scent names-I always think pink or white ).The candle jewelry really sets off the candles! Can they be used for anything else? For instance, could they be made into earrings and a matching pendant?Very nice jojo!
  4. Yah, I'm also wondering if these actually "write"?? I know that Deb mentioned that hers did, but I know a lot of others couldn't get theirs to do so. Also, wonder if using stearic would make them harder and/or last longer. ??
  5. I bought my imprinter and slips (plus an engraved plate-with my business name, address, and website addy) from Mr.Imprinter also. $24 WITH shipping! I also went with propay. It's a yearly flate rate and then a small percentage fee per transaction.
  6. Bethany, (GREAT name BTW-it's my oldest daughters' name ) thank you for posting the link for that article, very informative. Thank you most of all for turning me on to Cindy and her testing business-her prices are awesome, it's so nice that she offers affordable testing for the small crafter-she's the most affordable I've seen! :whoohoo:
  7. Depending on what you want to put the shea in (ie. Baggies, jars, etc.) Just use a spoon to get some out of original packaging and then weigh itout evenly for however many people you're dividing it for. Simple!I hope that is what you were asking cuz otherwise I don't know what you mean?
  8. Hmm I've emailed her to see what's up.
  9. I buy all my shrink wrap bags from an ebay store "the shrinkwrap store" CHEAP, and I bought my heat gun at Walmart. As for your DH-read my siggie! LOL
  10. Beautiful! I see some sparkle in there, please tell me which colorants/micas you used please! You can't just be using the new micas you got and not tell us which ones they are girlie!
  11. Ok, I don't care how big the picture is I NEED to see this better, so post a bigger picture of that GIT girl!!!!!!!!! PLEEEEEEZ! It's gorgeous, but I just HAVE to see it better, come on! WOW, I can't believe those are your "almost" firsts-Boy am I jealous of you!
  12. Well I have this FO (LOVE IT) and I agree with everyone else, that the soap aptly fits the scent! GOREGEOUS E! Of course I never expect anything less coming from YOU!
  13. "ahem" OS, don't be a skimmer now, man! She did say they are clear M&P with pop mica! tsk tsk I think you should be very VERY proud of your first cp soap, you even got swirls goin' on there girl, you did GOOD! LOVE the strawberries n cream soapies as well (M&P is still my first love!) Oh, the little bath bomb cake is really cute, awesome job there! So, what did you use for the topping? on all your creations! Edited to say: I guess you were maybe typing your question at the same time the OP was posting what the strawberries were.
  14. You and me both! I only wish it were true, cuz even drinking two huge cup of strong coffee every morning doesn't get me moving anymore! :undecided I think I need an IV direct line!
  15. You don't have to spend a fortune to shrink wrap them. Just buy some shrink wrap bags and a heat gun and go to it. That's what I do! I used to saran wrap mine, but it's way more time consuming IMO. I sometimes just put mine in small cello bags with cute ribbons/twine tied at the end. That's the easiest IMO. Oh, and I've had some shrink wrapped in boxes since before Christmas and they are fine.
  16. I completely agree! I think it's b/c they are not as "busy" as some others I've seen. I'm definitely in awe of anyone who does the cut n carve candles, that is TRULY art! I also, think you should be posting more pics. "hint hint".
  17. WOW, they look so real! Especially the "bun" part, I'm amazed!
  18. He better be getting a TON of that babassu in, cuz if he gets it in and I don't get any before it's gone, I'm gonna be P.O.ed!! I wonder why it takes so long to get some?
  19. PayPal has a program just for these type of incidents. Can't remember the official name for it, but its free and you sign up for it through your pp acct. And it's a virtual cc, the number always changes and its totally secure, and the money comes right out of your pp acct. And/or your bank acct. It's awesome.
  20. Geesh, I'm surprised she has any hair to treat with oil! Crazy teenager! I agree, ANY oil at this point would be beneficial!
  21. Mango butter works great in the place of shea. As far as the cetyl and leaving it out, just try it and see.
  22. Also lotioncrafter has just about everything you are looking for, and they have GREAT customer service.
  23. Just have to agree with everyone else, they are all very pretty soaps! You're being waaaay too hard on yourself.
  24. Ooh I like these soaps, purdy purdy colors, so bright and refreshing.
