ok i gotta know, what is the best type of dye to use for soy candles, i've used the dye blocks and reddi glo chips. and been wanting to try out liquid. any suggestions would be great

ok as far as i'm concerned picking a fav from NG is like picking your favorite child lol. but the ones that get the biggest raves for me is Red apple, Banana nut, Fresh Pear, Sugar cookie, cucumber melon, and just tried our bermuda triangle and everyone LOVES that one too i did some x-mas scents and the ginger bread, pumpking pie and candycane were the biggest ones with them

i can't really help you much i work strictly with 4oz tins and i just use cd7 wicks but i also use soy (415 i think, i get it from ng) but depending on where you get the tins from they will be different sizes the ones i use are 2 1/2 in diamerter 1 5/8 deep

i must be one of the odd balls i use pure soy with about 2 tbs beeswax pp. to firm them up they pop outta the molds really well.

well spitting out metal flakes would be sign of a bad candle lol... i don't know so much if there's a tell sign its kinda trial and error make a candle let it cure burn it make sure your melt pool is good test hot throw test cold throw etc.. and you really should do that with every scent/color/wax combo you try.. like i said i'm still a newbie i stick to strictly 4oz tins, 1oz tarts, and tealights awful awful tealights lol

if you are seriously legit and are interested in learning more then this is definitly the site to be at... i learned so much from these people and they are so talented it makes us newbies feel like boobs lol... but you have to be careful what you say and how you say it. alot of these people have been doing this for years. no one meant any insult in the begining they were watching your back belive it or not. if you don't have your candle formula perfected it can be a fire hazard and if you don't have insurance you'll lose everything even if its for charity. don't get on the defensive so quickly alot of people are just trying to help

you mean its not safe to stick your fingers into hot wax and rub it into your hands???? is that what i have 3rd degree burns on my hands now? wish i would have known this sooner. why don't people ever tell you that hot wax burns? ok when did common sense go out the window its melted wax. it has a flame. IT WILL BURN YOU. lol people make me giggle their so silly

couldn't agree more... his site is so overly sugar coated i just think there is something wrong. donations for a wax melter obviously the one he has is just fine since he's able to pump out 3000 candles in 2 months... wish i could do that

DI i'm thinking the same thing.. only thing is if he's doing what i think which is buying dirt cheap and reselling it'll just put money in his pocket for a candle that may not be dangerous just a dollar store candle
