    i know nothing about color changing but based on what everyone has been saying about lavender i'd go with that one lavender is extremly relaxing to babies.. i just did a sleep test with my baby and she slept so much better when i used lavender body wash on her

    i know soy is to soft to make a pillar out of by itself... can i just add beeswax or do i have to add vybar (sp?) and if i can just add beeswax how much to a pound of wax? i know these are prob stupid questions to alot of you so bear with me lol

    its funny how some of you guys say this is a botch.. or this one is messed up and i sit here and look at this stuff thinking i'll never be able to make something that cool... those are so awesome i like all of them at this rate i'm gonna stop making candles and just buy them from all of you

    i think thats why i love this hobby so much already your never limited. but i'm definitly just gonna stick with soy for right now i'm kinda scared to get into pillars and stuff especially after looking at all the pics in the gallery

    yeah baskets are definitly worth more than you would think... look at me i didn't have enough time to make a basket for my hubby so i figured i'd just buy one it came with 2 8oz bottles of coke a $10 blockbuster gift card a rice krispie treat craker jack horrible popcorn and like 2 other things (most of which you can get from the dollar store) i paid $60 for it... people will pay crazy prices just for convienence alone i would charge $30 for that basket its not to high so your prob just below competition but your high enough to actually make use of how costly baskets are

    i don't know i found them at candlewic and cierra i ordered mine from cierra big mistake i ordered them yesterday and i'm not gonna get them until nov 3rd. grr i prefer candlewic but they had a $25 minimum purchase and i couldn't do that right now

    ahh thank you guys... i'm just glad i fianlly found a good forum its very hard to find one where people actually contribute more than once a week. i'm glad people actually think this is a good idea people usually just end up thinking i'm kooky when i have an 'idea'

    hi everyone i just started making candles within the last month and i've been trying to come up with something original so that when i decide to start selling i'll have something eye catching.. what do you guys think of taking baby food jars painting the tops so you can't see the manufacturer and cleaning them up real good and making candles in them for like baby shower favors or something... and use scents that are baby food related banana, mango, pear, etc... keep in mind i have a 10 month old and lots of friends with babies so getting my hands on jars is not an issue at all
