  1. I think they are very cute! I love the presentation in the basket too!
  2. My personal opinion would be maybe they needed to cure longer? I usually let anything I make in soy cure around 2 weeks, but sometimes I get antsy and try them a bit sooner lol
  3. I bought a bunch of those same jars not long ago, LOVE them and I didnt even think to try and pour wax in it lol. Right now I have some scented beads ready to be put in the oven for ornies, I put them in the snowman jars after they were dry. They had a whole bunch of these and another pattern right on the front of one of the isles, I grabbed 7 lol.
  4. Just wanted to add, sometimes right after the holidays are over you can get them a little cheaper than you find them right now. I got mine in Feb I think it was and I paid right at 80 dollars for it, but some found them at places like Linens and Things for much less than I paid for mine even.
  5. When I make them, I use a 2x4 white label with all the info on it, warning and all. I have to cut off just a tiny bit that overhangs length wise. I use a paper cutter before sticking them on. If you dont want one that big, you could cut the 2x4 in half and it would only cover half the lid.
  6. I can't be gentle....because there is no reason to be, I think it looks very nice, very sleek and easy to navigate. Very nice job!!
  7. That's a really good idea! Right now I do what I call a "regular line" which I just put the scent descriptions in alphabetical order then I have a "limited edition" line that's pretty much everything else. I dont have a huge amount of scents I have tested and am happy with just yet, so eventually I will need to better organize it and I like the way you did yours.
  8. I just wanted to add that I had used soy wax for all mine I sold last year around the holidays and while they are a little softer, they still turned out fine. A friend of mine still has hers sitting in her bedroom, and even moved this summer and it still smells great. She hasnt even used the hair dryer on it yet to refresh it.
  9. I have mine in a similar bag, but I shrink wrap each melt too. I might be going above and beyond, but they seem to hold up well by doing it how I do them.
  10. Exactly! I have the wickless down and that's what I make for myself to keep and melt here.
  11. I tried the Wash Day in both soy 415 and my 4630 both, and they both came out great. It's a good strong clean smell, but not overwhelming like knock you down. It reminds me a lot of some of the others out there similar to clean sheets or clean cotton.
  12. I have used 415 with nothing added and vanilla velvet from BCN has been one of my favorites. Hot and cold throw both was amazing!
  13. Oh I didnt think of that, thank you for bringing that up. I always labled them so the customer would know the scent or whatever, but never thought about keeping track of it myself, duh lol
  14. I would say the same thing as you both, sounds like she's shifting the blame. And like someone else mentioned, when/if I were to get something late, I wouldnt go to the person who made them, but the person who took my money. Maybe I'm odd, but when I order something unless it's a gift for someone coming up right away, I sometimes forget I even ordered it until it shows up lol. But even if I did remember, and it was for a gift and it was coming up soon, the one who took my money would be the one I asked, and I wouldnt curse at the person no matter who I talked to. I just dont understand people sometimes :rolleyes2
  15. I'm testing/power burning a 4 oz deep tin right now, and I used 44-24-18c with the 4630 (nothing added) and amish harvest 1 oz. So far this combo has been the best and cleanest burn I have tested yet on my tins. I have many other combos of fo and wicks to try with my tins. I have had a beautiful flame, no smoking and only a tiny tiny mushroom the first burn. I'm also testing/power burning a 4oz apothocary with same fo but with the 51-32-18z and I was really surprised that it didnt smoke and so far it's burning very clean and leaving just a very skinny film on the jar (can see all the way through it) so loving this combo as well. Again, that's just one FO and 2 containers, hence the reason the testing process is so important. I'm sure I wont get the same results if I put in another FO and same wicks, but one can always hope right? :rolleyes2
  16. I personally use http://www.wahmshoppes.com/ for my website. I have done websites for others for years, but this has been the most simple way to have an online store I have seen. There are 4 different modes 1 being easiest, to 4 being you are very comfortable with html. It's 7 per month but it has a lot of extras and you can even use templates they provide if you want. If you dont like the ones they have for free, there are a lot of designers out there that have ready made templates you can buy, and price wise you can get them very cheap or full on custom, depending on your needs. It has a built in cart. Once it's all set up, when you want to add an item it's as simple as filling in a few things and it's there. They also have a very helpful support forum when you have questions. This is one of a few of these type stores out there and to me, the easiest way to go.
  17. Very welcome, I happen to be on the board at the time and use these myself like stated for embeds and even done some baby related ones for a shower for the mom to be who loves tarts. As easy as they are to get and as inexpensive as they are, they make endless possibilites.
  18. Wow, that is cheap, even if you just wanted 24. My luck would be it would be such a hit and since they wont have them any longer once they are gone, I would be up a creek trying to find more lol. BCN has the 8oz jj for 3.75/dozen and I dont remember shipping being that bad, and I was in Kansas last time I ordered. Lids are seperate but that way you can choose something other than the standard gold lid if you like. Good luck on your quest for your jars, sometimes that can be the biggest PITA in doing this. If the prim type stuff sold better for you, that's what I would probably stick with, or at least something as close as you can and still get good prices.
  19. I love hearing stories like that, going from small time to what they are today. When I grow up I want to be like that Hmm at 41 I better hurry huh
  20. How funny!! Thanks for posting, needed the laugh this morning and this did the trick
  21. I use it for both container candles, wickless candles (tins) and even tarts and I love it. It's on the soft side but for containers I think it's wonderful. I've never had to do a repour with it, so it's been a one pour wax for me with no problems.
  22. I've used them and they work fine. They dont last as long as the metal or silicone molds but they do work
  23. I have no clue how to make the gun work again, but I'm sure sorry to hear yours is on the blink
  24. That's really awesome, congrats!! I bet you wont need luck that they will sell though, but just in case, good luck too!!
  25. I love love love my turkey fryer! I do soy things in my presto pots, the same way as others, melt wax then take some out and put into pitcher, but my turkey fryer has my 4630 in it. Speaking of which, it looked kind of low the other day, I think I need to get busy getting more lol
