  1. But I didn't see my thread Has anyone seen Doug (Stacy's Sensations) around? I haven't been able to contact him?
  2. As I've done in the past, I would like to purchase some soap...cheap. Here's the deal: I'll buy some of your ugly soap. I don't care what it looks like, just want some great soap. Looking to spend about 2.00-2.50 per bar. This way, you get back the cost of supplies on soap that you wouldn't normally sell and I get some affordable handmade soap. Please PM me if this is something you are interested in.
  3. Oooohh....I forgot about Borage Oil and Hemp Oil. I've heard so many wonderful things about it. I'll have to get some samples to try. Thanks chicas.
  4. Thanks to everyone who responded. I had tons of people respond and unfortunately I cannot utilize all of you. I have PM'd the ones I picked randomly to do the testing.
  5. I have a few B&B items that I would like for others to test and evaluate for me. Please PM me if you would like to assist me in my testing. I would like to have 5 or 6 people test samples for me.
  6. I'm playing with making a facial cream using Liquid Polymer as the emulsifier. I'm toying with percentages, but would like more expert opinion on the oils I'm using. Please tell me what you think. The oils I'm using. Apricot Avocado Evening Primrose Rosehip Vitamin E And then of course water and the liquid poly. So, any suggestions? My skin is loving it, but I want more expert opinions.
  7. I get my Mulberry from Alabaster. It's a good seller for me year round. PM me your address and I'll send you an oz or two to try.
  8. I made a sugar scrub with it (still tweaking it) and added some shea and some oils. I didn't find it drying.
  9. Not really slick, but it has a nice feel to it. Glides onto the skin nicely. If I use too much ewax, it starts off with a bit of white residue before sinking in. With the liquid poly, I didn't get that.
  10. It's not bad. Make easy work of making a lotion come together. I'm testing my lotion using the liquid polymer in one and ewax in the other. I think I like the ewax better.
  11. I bought the glue dots ages ago and they did not work. I wish I new before I bought 1,000 of them. At least I can use them for baskets. The wick stickums work great for me.
  12. Hey Dust, definitely cut down on Peak's Lavender. 1 oz pp is definitely too much on that one...at .5 oz pp it is way strong. I hate pouring Jasmine, makes me gag.
  13. I was just reading the same thing. I may have to pick up a few slabs when I drive out there next time. It is a bit on the pricey side, though.
  14. I used to work in the kitchen, but when we decided to redo the kitchen, my GF set me up with a work area in the basement. I have much more room down there and I don't have to worry about leaving a mess if I wind up working late. When I was in the kitchen I had to make sure everything was cleaned up and put away. A big PITA.
  15. Thanks Edensong. That sounds nice, and Lord knows I could use something for wrinkles.
  16. Hey, if I promise to learn how to make soap, can I come too? Kimberly, it's about a 2 hour drive from me to you, isn't it?
  17. I use wick pins in my votives and the little gap at the top has not been a problem. As far as loose wicks, my wicks are never loose on the bottom. I have to push the tab into the hole and it fits in there securely.
  18. I think they are going to become one of my faves also. I'm am just starting to add B&B to my line. So far I have a Shea Butter and a Body Lotion. I think a lotion bar would fit in nicely.
  19. I tried this recipe yesterday. I didn't have any kokum butter, so I subbeed cocoa butter. Not greasy at all. Rather nice.
  20. Another Peaks fan here too.
  21. Just realized the zinc wicks don't work in this. I wicked with 2 51z and they drowned out in the second hour. The Premier didn't do too bad on the first burn, may have to wick up. I was trying with 1 Premier 780. Maybe I'll try it with two of the Premiers. I'll have to see if I have some LX wicks and try those. It is a beautiful wax. Had a good scent throw even with the wicking not being right.
  22. Making candles for 9 years? That's great. Post some pics, we'd love to see your work.
  23. I just order a few pounds to test. I poured 2 small jars (8 oz. Apothecary) to test a bit. In one I used zinc wicks and one I used a Premier 700 wick. I love the way it looks. I poured at 160 and got a beautiful finish, but the C&S site says to pour at 200, so I'll try that next. Just wondering if anyone uses this wax and likes it and maybe has any tips. This is my second venture into natural wax...I tried soy in the beginning, but didn't like working with it.
  24. Welcome. Do you make candles or B&B....or just looking to get into it?
