  1. And to add further to that, I think I will take the advice given and just keep my stuff for when I am ready to return to it. I might not be up to running a business any time soon, but I will definitely be ready to do some pouring when the Dr. says I'm ready for it.
  2. I haven't been back here in a couple of days, but I was floored by the amount of responses here. You all have certainly put a smile on my face. Thank you so much for your good wishes and great advise.
  3. Thank you, thank you, thank you
  4. Thank you for all of your well wishes. I am trying very hard to keep the blues away. This was definitely a wake up call.
  5. I've decided that I'm closing my business. I just had a heart attack and I need to take time to heal....not worry about trying to run a business. I'll probably post stuff in the classifieds once I'm strong enough to go through everything.
  6. Looks terrific. If you want to do an embed, I can think of a few: ribbon for AIDS awareness Lambda equal sign (like HRC) male symbols or the female symbols pink triangle
  7. What could a D***ie Licker possibly smell like? I don't even want to know what a Fuzzie Cootie is. Ewwwwwwwww!!!! Those FO's are not cheap either.
  8. Geez, I hope you didn't spend a lot on supplies to get ready for a big fundraiser. That would get me heated up.
  9. I've gotten several of those emails. I simply reply and say that I would be happy to send them free samples as long as they pay for postage and give them the postage amount. I never hear back from them.
  10. I think it's safe to say that we all like Peak...you won't be disappointed.
  11. Not a true one pour. It leaves an air pocket right beneath the nice smooth top. I've tried different pouring temps, but always get it. Love the look and throw of the wax, though.
  12. I've only ever used Peak's and it remains in the top seller category consistently. It's always a choice when people do fundraisers.
  13. I have to pour about 200 tins to finish up a fundraiser and start labeling everthing. I need to pour Sweet Pea and White Tea and Ginger. Two of my faves. The goal is to have everything labeled and ready to be picked up by Sunday night. That'll put me one week ahead of schedule and I can start to pour some tins to prepare for the large fundraiser that just started.
  14. That looks devine. My address is.............
  15. Other than a couple of regular customers, sales are very slow for me this time of year. Good thing is I'm in the middle of one fundraiser and another large one just starting. Also glad it's a little slow at times so I can do some necessary testing (I'm looking to change wax for my apothecary jars.
  16. I saw on another thread that someone was looking for a supplier. I have someone that I've been dealing with for years. Great prices and customer service. He is in New Jersey. If anyone is interested, please PM me for his info.
  17. Thanks Molly. I've off the check them out.
  18. Thanks for your responses. I'll keep an eye on Ebay (I don't want a presto pot) I want something larger than 35 lbs. Thanks for the info, though.
  19. I'll take a shot in the dark here since I don't know what any of them actually smell like except Drakkar. 1 - London Lemon Curd - Lemon Mousse, Sweet Lemon Dessert, Lemon Chiffon 2 - Brown Sugar & Fig - Fig Newton, Sweetened figs, Fig Pudding, 3 - Black Raspberry Vanilla - Black Raspberry Swirl, Raspberry delight, Black raspberry decadence 4 - Drakkar - Metrosexual, Metro Man, My Man, My Love, Hot and Sexy, Sensual
  20. Is there anywhere that one can buy a used wax melter. I'm interested in one that holds about 65 lbs, but they are so darn expensive and I just can't afford it right now. I am breaking my back trying to break apart my J50 and was thinking I could get one that size and just put the whole case of wax in. Any ideas?
  21. I thank everyone for coming, give my hostest her gift and then I talk a little about my product. I play a game immediately after that and that gets them laughing and relaxed and they love to win stuff. Then they mob the tables for what they want. I usually take orders also. If I have enough stuff there, I have less orders to take. It's usually just a few since I try to bring so much with me. One of the best things I started to do was take a big basket of tarts. I bring a big basket full of assorted tarts...they love going through and smelling them. It gets them talking about the scents and asking questions. I usually end up selling about half the basket. About halfway through tallying everyone up, I announce how much the hostess has earned so far. That usually gets the crowd excited a bit.
