  1. Any info on what the demos/presentations will be about? Is this the same as the one I attended in Canton in, mmm, maybe '06 (could have been '05)? I am going to see if this is a possibility for me... I'll get back to you oh and any luck with the silicone log mold you were working on? if so, I'd still like one.....
  2. Steve is Judy's husband. He is not a memeber on the boards, but is kind enough to escort his lovely wife to the gathering and entertain us all when he ends up with purses and scarves as his items in the yankee swap!
  3. that is my (self appointed) job! lol beautiful soaps! but seriously can I come soap with you! love your vids. subscribed!
  4. Ok, so, I have used a Braun (all plastic except for the blade) for oh, probably 6+ years. I love love love it. But it is getting beat up. The seam of the blender is coming apart and it gets really hot when I tear it up doing big batches of scrubs that take several hours of almost constant blending. It doesn't spit my mix out of the bowl... just love it, but it is about done... So I have used a kitchenaid 9-speed before but I don't know which it was. The KHB100, KHB200, or the KHB300. I was hoping that someone may know the differences between them. I have been looking and looking but now that kitchenaid has stopped making those models and switched over to a new style that I don't like, I am hard pressed to find the info I need on the old ones. I am considering purchasing the old style on ebay but I am not sure which one to go for... Any help? I bought the new 2 speed Kitchenaid sold at Target and didn't like the grip for the handle. It is to small. I realize these are made for women with normal sized hands but I have really long fingers and a larger grip and prefer the older models. I took it back. All the new models have that same smaller area for the grip. Plus, it seemed to really "scratch" against the sides of my bowls. I bought an Oster on Black Friday sale for $16 at Target and just used it this weekend and I like the grip better but it really flings my oils out of the bowl!!! I had oils on the ceiling fan, me, the counter, pouring pitchers, the floor, even over the counter into the living room.... So I don't like that one either. I was looking for some opinions on other blenders too. What do you use? What did you pay? Any info on the old Kitchenaids? Any ebay sellers you would buy from?(I am ebay ignorant) Or, anyone have a few year old 9-speed Kitchenaid you would want to sell me? the white one is what my Braun looks like, only one solid piece. The red is the newer Kitchenaid and I just can't grip it and press the button at the same time the black is the older style that I want
  5. so pretty! I love love love pink and black together!! very pretty.

  8. That is beautiful! where do I go to buy a bar after cure time it up?
  9. I would have to write or call and check but I do believe they package the 12 pounds seperately. I wouldn't seperate it. I would ask you order by the pound but then you would end up paying shipping and it may just be cheaper to pay the $17.99 from them with free shipping.
  10. looks good. Because of the vanilla in the birthday cake fo the yellow part of the batch will likely discolor to anywhere from a light tan to a dark chocolate brown, so you may not end up being able to see your swirlies. Some soapers do a blind swirl. Don't add the fo to the portion of the batch that you will use to swirl (maybe even add some TD) and then swirl. You won't be able to see the swirl until it appears as your soap with the vanilla fo in it begins to darken.
  11. the best price I found and also where I ordered mine from. In fact I need to order more. I have found tons of uses for it and have gone through a pound all ready.. http://healingherbs.biz/products/charcoal.html no offense to the other suppliers but at near $3 per ounce...that is outrageous it is almost $50 a pound. NUTS! We could do a co-op if enough people need it and save even more. If we could get up to 12 pounds we could get it for $12.99 a pound............... I would host
  12. I watched quite a few of your vids and subscribed!
  13. I guess it is kind of like groupon..... It is totally new to me. I was looking for any feedback. I was considering using it... kind of like etsy? https://www.dailyreferral.com/feature anyone else using it? how do you like it? have you heard of it? would you use it to buy candles/b&b? etc.
  14. I have the hobby grade quick cutter. Love it. Fast, easy soap cutting! so worth it. I would love to upgrade to the tank because one of my molds is to long and I have to pre-cut it in 2 logs before I cut but I can't justify that extra money for having to split one log of soap. If you want the tank, if you can afford the tank: get the tank. You will thank yourself and never look back with a regret! :smiley2:
  15. I couldn't do the last 8 pounds that night. I had to cover it and do it the next day. I didn't have anyone with me to film the full batch. It ended up being over 28 pounds. That big bowl was full to the brim. I noticed the water lapping after I posted it. lol! I like to think I'm the alpha but he is spoiled rotten. He gets a big rawhide to keep him busy and out of the kitchen when momma is crafting. If you guys have channels, subscribe and I'll subscribe to you! Lets get youtube connected!
  16. here is a link to my youtube video of me mixing 16 pounds of foot scrub enjoy!
  17. everything looks great! do you label only the lid of your candle? I wouldn't want the lid to get tossed and your customer not have info to get more from you...
