  1. Another vote for Peaks! It is a really good spring seller for me. Infact I have 3 orders for it currently and I am all out! I just ordered a pound from Peak, it should be here soon! It is super strong infact I can take the percentage down slightly and have great throw hot and cold!
  2. uh-oh I just order a bag and my supplier's supplier upped the minimum order so I told him I would take two and he wouldn't give me a price until he got it...oh I hope it hasn't doubled!!!! I was planning to sell some in the classys so if I did get a good price I will pass it on to those looking for lye.
  3. look slike you had fun amusing yourself making molds! now I want to see pics of soap in those molds! I have an idea for the corrugated plastic. what if you cut an identially sized piece and placed them back to back so that the corrugated line matched up? then you would have flat on both sides.
  4. I always do one label with my company name and scent and whatever it is and then I do a label for the back with my warnings, disclaimers, ingredients and instructions.
  5. I can vouch for this recipe. I did it with cucumber from my friends garden. I didn't use rain water though and I calculated the recipe to be a 3lb batch. made a great soap, next time I will de-seed my cuc puree.....oh and I left the cuc peel out as well.
  6. Very pretty layered pillars! that takes a truely patient person for all those thin layers!
  7. Those would definately sell at a head shop! I am sure they would fly off the shelves at the hippie botique that carries my candles! maybe market them as "Hippie Love" instead of Lovespell

  17. you know you don't have to shrink wrap cp right? you should shrink wrap mp to try to keep it from sweating but you don't have to shrink cp for any reason.
  18. Where in Ohio are you? You can pick up mp bases at WSP (wholesalesuppliesplus.com) they are in Broadview Heights. I used to get my clear base here before I found cp soaping and gave up on mp. You can also get good mp bases at NG (Natures Garden) they are in Wellington. These are both within the Greater Cleveland area. If you could pick up you could save on shipping! hth

  22. I've also heard of people using activated charcoal for this purpose(the black line), but have not done it myself. I did just today do a top layer though, I used my spatula to spoon on the top layer and then a skewer to swirl and pull up some of the bottom color to show through the top white later. hth
