Super cute! How many pounds of wax? I wonder if you poured the top layer (icing) of the candles first waited until they were finished and then poured the bottom and before the wax was totally firm maybe using a heat gun to heat the top of the wax and smoosh it on...does that make sense? or am I not making the words connect correctly? I am sure you have to poke relief holes in that bad boy. I would work on some timing with relief holes, heat gunning and how much of the wax was solid. I bet you could get that top to stay attached.

I did not read through all the replies. I just saw a ton of votes for the glass and was shocked. I am being honest. I think that the glass jar is pretty and would work with a different label. One I think the label is too much of the country type theme for that jar and two, I think it is way to big and covers much of the candle. I prefer clear labels for glass candles it allows the flame to show through it. I like the label you have and I like it on the tin. I also think the size of the label goes great with the tin because the flame can't be seen through it so why not have a large label to promote your business (especially because it is a cute label)

I have a few quick questions for you. I dig your set up but did you stage it for the photo? How can you pour over the empty jars? And how low is your first table, that you can stack 3 layers and not have to use a step stool to pour your last table? I pour on an 8 foot buffet table and I can fit 18 cases (comfortably, 20 carefully) of (12) candles on the table but I have to pour in rows. I don't dare pour over a row of empty jars. Do you? I see that your jars are bigger so our numbers wouldn't match but I am so curious as to how you pour....

The candles are lovely as usual. But I just wanted to say FreeBIRD! Cleveland Rocks and give up the hat

I use both j50 and 4633(j223) seperately and both with zink wicks. I can't tell you about size for the wick (as I don't use JJ) I personally think the throw is slightly better on the j50 Try heating your pouring room. Candles like it warm. The warmer the temp of the room where you create the less times you will have to use that heat gun! That will help with wetspots but they will come through on both waxes gl and happy testing!

so any frequent JS buyers here happen to know if Appleberry Spice has been discontinued? I have checked and rechecked the website, and nothing turns up. I haven't bought any since this time last year. I hate it when suppliers discontinue the oils that are big sellers for me. ugh! anyone know of anything close? or have any to spare?

Pretty soapies!! my question is how much does your batch 'fluff' up? I usually do 3lb batches but I have this feeling that if I do that I will have quite a bit left over that won't fit into the mold.... true?

ok guys I have decided that I am feeling well enough to travel. I will go ahead and pick up from Natures Garden too. I have gotten 2 emails for NG orders ( I will reply shortly) The dates and all info remains the same for NG pick ups. Just please keep in mind that I am not able to do any lifting over 10 pounds so you will have to unload your own items. I know the folks at NG will help me load everything into the car.

thanks again for the concern. SUrgery went well. I was not well enough to do the full repair. they found two new problems and we have to get those healed first. so the surgery was less invasive than expected. I have not spoken to my doctor yet (only the assistant) but I think it looks good for me getting to go to the gathering. no promises yet though. Again I am sorry about having to back out of the co-ops and pre buys.

Possible bad news for me guys. :lipsrseal I may not make it to the gathering.:tiptoe: Don't count me out entirely as of yet but I will have to remove my commitment to doing the NG and OBN pick ups. I am still sick from last year and in the past week it got bad again. I had to move my surgery up to July 6th. I will be in the hospital for serveral days. If I am feeling well enough to travel I may try to make it to the gathering but can't make any positive guarentees for order delivery. I do not have internet at home but I will be in touch with a few ladies here that will keep you posted. I do believe that OBN is being contacted in regards to possibly bringing orders but Natures Garden orders will have to be canceled for sure. I have not received any NG orders but I do know that several people were planning on odering. thanks and my apologies!

They didn't show until I entered my name and email and made a duplicate post! shhwweeeew! one more thing! I only have an interest for 20-25 pounds of lye....... this is not enough for me to press my supplier. I will have to come up with half that $500 minimum in order to place the order. If there are attendees out there holding back.... I need to know of interest so that I can figure if I can make this work. The only way I can see to come close is to add citric acid to the order. Are there any gathering attendees that may be interested in citric acid??? I am not sure on a price yet but I am thinking $3 a pound roughly maybe less, I'm just not sure...... I need a better guage of how much so I can determine if I will be close enough to press the issue.
