  1. Ya, I can't get Facebooks links to work for listing my products......I spent way to much time already, I am giving up!
  2. WSP = Wholesale Supplies Plus NG = Natures Garden
  3. SOoooooo comparing TNS and Aquatech's is it worth the extra $$ for the TNS Butters? I wish these companies would go by weight because a gallon of whipped isn't as much as a gallon of solid, that you whip yourself. So has anyone purchased from both of these companies and can you give us the comparisons? Thanks!
  4. Sorry, been busy....The OC from NG is STILL burning fine! Yes, lol I have tested it before I poured 12 pounds! No, I DO NOT test a candle from every bottle I open! That would not be cost effective. I have burned it to the last 1/3 and it is doing beautifully, so I don't expect any problems. It usually gets hotter the last 1/3, but will let you know if it suddenly poops out. I don't really like this scent, I'd like it stronger, though, but sell a lot of it.
  5. Ok, well that is a relief! I have been worried about this ever since that big candle sold. Most of the crystals settled to the bottom of the pour pot, but I wasn't sure if some got in the candle if it would cause issues. So thanks everyone!
  6. I had a bottle of AF for about a year and just used the last of it and noticed something that sounded like sizzling in the bottom. When I peaked inside I saw crystals. I test burned a small candle and didn't get much of a HT where as I thought I used to get a nice throw. Wouldn't you know I just sold a huge candle in the same scent, same bottle. So is this just not a strong thrower, or do the crystals have something to do with it? What are the crystals anyway? I have another oil (MC's Warm Van Sugar) that has crystals too that I stopped using for retail because I didn't know if it would affect the candle any. The Aspen Forest slipped by me though and now I am worried. That was an expensive candle and they will be very angry if no HT. Any insight?
  7. I just poured 12lbs. of NG's Orange Clove with a little extra clove. Lit a tester just now...will let you know how it goes!
  8. Ok, I went ahead and bought 5lbs. of Very Vanilla from CS hoping it will smell like Berts Vanilla Latte.....I should get it later today, but wanted to know if anyone uses this and could give me a heads up about the burn (wick up?) and the HT. There are mixed reviews about this one on the website, but I needed a Vanilla quick and it had 3 leaves for the soy rating. What are your reviews about this one?
  9. Any word on how Shirlee is doing? Hope everything went well. Prayers are still with her...
  10. I know Brenda posted this earlier but I need to get moving on this- now. Bert is having trouble getting this in so I need to search elsewhere. My fundraiser is due the 14th and I have 200 more candles to make with this f/o. I already have some poured so I feel I really can't change the scent much. I blend it with Creme Brulee but I still need 5 bottles. I have to place an order with NG so which Vanilla is VERY similar to Berts? They have Vanilla Bean, French Vanilla Coffee, and a Jamaican Vanilla Cafe.....Help!
  11. I need to order from Natures Garden anyway, and was wondering the same thing! Thanks Brenda for jumping on this! Does anyone know which Vanilla Scent from NG is the closest to Berts Van Latte.....The Vanilla Bean, Jamaican Vanilla Cafe, French Vanilla Coffee....so many to choose and not enough time to try them all!
  12. I work at a flower shop and we decided to carry some home decor items. Of course we are bringing in my container candles, but also need some pillars. I do not have the time to add these to my line. I have never made a single pillar candle and just want a really good quality, tested and scented candle to carry in the store. I refuse to purchase Root or some other factory brand when I know there are wonderful chandlers on here that could supply us with some! Anyone interested in selling and shipping to NW Ohio? Let me know your sizes and prices. Thanks!
  13. Thanks for all the response. I almost always make 6lbs. of wax at a time, so I am thinking the chips would be VERY simple to use. Clean, already measured, consistant, everything I am looking for. It is the only type of dye I have not used. It will be a little more expensive though. And about the specs, I get those now with some powders and flakes. I do hate that...but hate dye all over my hands even more. It seems no matter what kind of dropper I use, it still runs down and makes a mess. So off I go to place another order at CS for the dye chips!
  14. I get this too on just certain scents. Gingerbread in particular. I think it is a vapor or something given off by the f/o.
  15. Ok, I have GOT to get a color system down. Right now I am using a little bit of everything. I hate the liquid, to messy but stirs in nicely with no specs at the bottom of the jar. Powder, sometime specs but creates a "dusting" all over the workspace. Flakes takes to much to get the color I want. So the only thing I haven't tried is the dye chips. From what I have read those also can be a pain to dissolve. I want to simplify my color system but I also want to be neat about it. I pour a ton of candles, so it has got to be economical as well. I buy in bulk. Any suggestions on which system to invest in that is not so MESSY but gives a good rich color with no undissolved specs?
  16. What about the Banana Nut Bread? Did you get that in wax yet? How's the throw? Placing an order today and debating about this one.....usually use MC's BNB. How does it compare?
  17. I just called Vistaprint and she told me they do NOT have any waterproof labels except for a vinyl label that is 4" x 4". That size is to big for my products....Are you ordering that one, or did you find another size that is waterproof? Thanks!
  18. So, Wickedwick, does it just laminate one side so the label is still sticky on the other? Also, does it make the label thicker and more ridgid? Thanks!
  19. I have thought of this issue- OFTEN. But, like the others I just thought about it. I even bought the masks. But, I hated wearing it....yep, felt lke I was being smothered! I now pour to the side and don't stand directly over the melted was while pouring. I pour for over 8 hours a day though. Some days, like with candy cane and cinnamon it really gets to me. I feel wheezy in my lungs. I always walk in the evenings, I swear by it, for people who pour for long periods of time. GET THAT FRESH ARE PUMPED IN YOUR LUNGS! Yep, I worry about the fumes....but I worry about everything giving me cancer. I can't give up candles though...I have heard from another post on here that people have poured for like 40 years and never had an issue. I guess some people can be affected and others not. Like smokers...some people smoke, like my dad for 60 years and nevr have an issue. Doesn't seem right.
  20. I just lit a tester of MC Soothing Sandlewood.....Ahhhh so good. I don't know if it is "earthy" or not cause I never tried any others, but this one is awesome! I won't look any further.
  21. Ok, I dug around and found a NG WVS 1ozer......looks like I will pour a tester! Now if it can compare to BC BNL's in strength and throw it will be way less $$. I will let you all know
  22. I need a strong (I know this isn't normally a strong scent, but this store customer wants STRONG) dupe that isn't too expensive. I have ordered Bittercreeks BNL before and like it but it is too expensive for a wholesale order. Does anyone know of a less expensive really good, strong one?
  23. I did pour the GG cool at 150 and got the jump lines. Nice color though and no crystalization but still had to poke relief holes. Then when I poured at 155 to 160 I got the crystals, but I cooled that one slower because I warmed the jar and covered with a box. So next, I think I will try to pour at 155 in a warmed jar and no box cover. That way I shouldn't have jump lines and shouldn't have the crystals. I am sure something else weird will happen then...lol
