  1. Here's where I got mine..... http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.aspx?c=2&p=44948&cat=1,43326 However, I noticed over time that the scent diminished or mixed with other scents in the case. I use 1.5 oz hex jars now and carry them in a briefcase.
  2. Janet from Creative Gems has the plugs too. http://www.creativegemsmolds.com/store/view_product.php?product=T-L3S6AW7&searchlink=yes&search=HOLER&page=1 Just make sure you use high MP wax or the tealight will slide while burning.
  3. This place has pretty good prices.... http://www.wickmanproducts.com. You have to sign up for a wholesale catalog but you get it pretty quickly.
  4. Would you have time to get one of these shipped to you? http://www.creativegemsmolds.com/store/view_product.php?product=T-L3S6AW7&searchlink=yes&search=HOLER&page=1 They work great in pillars.
  5. For the beer color, I use ivory liquid dye and just a touch of red. By a touch I mean a smidge on a toothpick and swish it around in the gel. For ice cubes, I cut the gel into cubes with scissors and hit whatever is sticking out of the "cola" with a heat gun so it looks somewhat melted. HTH some.
  6. It takes a lot of work and practice to get the decal paper to work. I always print out an extra in case I mess up. What I usually do is dip the decal in the water for only a few seconds (about 5-8) just long enough to get it to peel off the paper. After I place the decal on the candle, I use a soft towel (dish towels work) to dab it dry, then I put the towel over my index finger and smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles. I spray them with clear acrylic after they dry. So far so good with this technique. I noticed the white paper is a little easier to smooth out than the clear. HTH some.
  7. I got the same e-mail and he told me that the cost is $1500 per minute for a time frame of 1-5 minutes on the air. WAYYYY out of my price range even if it is legit.
  8. Have you looked here? http://www.paopen4business.state.pa.us/paofb/site/default.asp This should explain everything.
  9. No particular scent....I haven't started testing yet, just wondered what is a good starting point. Trying to do away with my pint masons and see if the keepsakes sell better.
  10. I'm going to start testing the 14oz keepsake jars (about 3-1/2 in diam). Has anyone successfully single wicked these or do I have to double wick? I'm using J50 and zinc wicks. TIA! Trae
  11. You could use a warning label over the wick so it doesn't move.
  12. I agree with using the wick centering tool from EZ Wick Systems. The pins never stayed centered for me.
  13. I use sequin pins to pin the invite to the pillar, then hot glue braiding or ric rac around the edges. I also hot glue flowers and gold rings to the corners. I use a tealight at the top of the pillar instead of a wick. You never know who might try to burn it.
  14. I got mine here....www.benchmarkinsurance.com.
  15. How about poking a hole thru the mold and using a piece of coat hanger or a wick bar before you pour. That way when the wax is cool you can pull out the bar and you'll have a wick hole. I do that with my rose votives. HTH.
  16. I get most of mine from www.flexiblemolds.com.
  17. Does anyone know where I can get something close to this scent that is gel safe???
  18. J50 $70 per 56 lb case No delivery because I pick it up Works out to $1.25 per lb Wouldn't normally pay that much for wax but if I had it delivered it would be the same or more.
  19. That's why I use the eraser end of a pencil to push down the embeds...so they don't break. I pour in the gel and kinda push the apple slice down into the gel from the end that will be showing thru the glass...the side where the peel would be. Then I use the pencil to push the slice to the bottom. takes practice but it becomes second nature after bit. HTH.
  20. I attach hang tags to them explaining to unwrap and burn in a votive glass.
  21. I used cello. I'm putting a vase full of them at my friend's salon and didn't want the rose scent to be too overpowering thru tulle. Not everyone likes rose.
  22. Depends on the size of the group. For large groups I separate them by scent and let the coordinator sort them by participant. If the group is small, I will bag and label them by participant. I just finished up one that was a group of 15 kids and some scents only had an order of one or two so it was easier to bag them individually.
  23. I mistakenly got cups that were too big for the base of the rose, so after wrapping two I decided to try warpping the cup in floral tape. I think it looks much better. I gave the other two away for Easter. LOL!
  24. I embed mine a little differently from everyone else. I pour my gel when it gets to the consistency of thick syrup. When the gel is cool enough that I can put my finger in without burning myself, that's the point I put in the embeds. I use the eraser end of a pencil to push them toward the outside of the glass. Been doing it this way for 6 years!
