  1. I have to agree a 3" diameter is the easiest to wick & get a good burn. It doesen't matter how tall it is, but no shorter than 3 inches, so you can get good test results.
  2. I have added up to 1oz of extra FO to 5oz's of wax in an electric potpourri pot, and still have great throw & no problems, then I start with new scented wax melts after that.
  3. Craft stores have them in the beading section. They are used to store beads. I don't think they would hold up very well because they are made of poly.
  4. WOW!!! Looks great. Keep us updated as you figure this out. BTW - What depth is that tree?
  5. Those look great. As far as the "cat's eyes", if the smallest diameter is at least 3 inches or larger, you could make them evrlasting, with either a tea light or a votive.
  6. Container wax J223 is a good paraffin container wax.
  7. This might just work but, you would need the piece curved to match the curve of round molds.
  8. You are right in that there are too many stupid things people could do. So, I guess I need to put on my labels... WARNING!!! - See 500 page book. :laugh2:
  9. I'm not getting into all this mess. If you look at the site I posted you will find that size to be 4 fluid oz's, so that would be approx. 3-3.5oz's of wax. BTW - Why measure when you can find it like I did. If you understand wax, then you know the container measurement is most likely in fluid oz's, so it would hold less than that in wax. Some people try to make things so complacated.
  10. They work great. For those size containers I use 2 LX 16's. At least that is a starting point, you may need to wick down to a LX 14's or wick up to a LX 18's, for your wax.

  12. Plastic works just fine in HDPE or PET (sometimes called PETE). The HDPE will sometimes deform from FO. I like the PET, it's the next best thing to glass.
  13. The Pink Lime IMO smells like Pink Lemonaid, more tart than sweet. It's a great thrower & I sell lots of it, this time of year. I need a mold to make pink colored lemon weges to put on top. or make some in drink glasses like these.
  14. Here is some info that might be useful... http://www.fortlewis.edu/shared/content_objects/flcidm//rack_brochure_guidelines.pdf http://www.fortlewis.edu/faculty_staff/flcidm/design_brochure.asp http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/designTemplates/catalog.asp?navProduct=pageplus&type=products&Cat=2&SP=G110&kwd=brochure_software&gclid=CIOButXmwIwCFQidgAodjFopWg http://www.smartdraw.com/specials/context/business-flyers.htm?type=43149&id=43149 http://www.avery.com/us/Main?action=idea.Recipe&recipe=133&node=10195115&node_name=Stop+Traffic+at+Your+Next+Trade+Show&catalogcode=WEB01 http://www.mybrochuremaker.com/free-brochure-software-fun.html
  15. BUMP...Has anyone seen this idea?
  16. So is it just a chocolate smell or is both the chocolate & cake about even or is one stronger than the other?
  17. The candles & photos are both great. what's your secret for photos?
  18. Yes, after the candle is completely cold, is when you poke for air pockets, in soft container wax. I use 12" long doll needles (I got at Hancock's Fabrics) but you can also use nitting neddles and the others you mentioned.
  19. Speaking of Baby Showers...Has anyone seen this idea, by Doneen of Bitter Creek? http://boards.bittercreek.com/tool/post/bittercreek/vpost?id=1901744
  20. They are vinyl labels and I print them myself. They are 1.67" circle & 24 per sheet. The picture does not show them justice because that is a scanned image. In real life they are crisp and clear on a white label. If anybody would be interested, I can print you 1 full sheet of labels as many as you want, PM me.
  21. Check here http://www.geocities.com/lwoollen_25/FragranceFinder/T.html Scroll down to Tahitian Vanilla
  22. Looks good. They would be better, and safer, if they were an everlasting, with either a tealight or votive in the top.
  23. Looks good. So how does it burn? Dose the palm wax hold up the the heat of the tealight?
  24. It does look good except... for missing info, weight, business name and contact info, unless you have that somewhere else on there.
