I have tried a knife but with very little results. This stuff is so tuff. Has anyone tried the electric hot knife? Very Nice. Glad you heat gunned it, it's a wast of time to not have all those stars not show, plus it will sell better now (that is, if you are selling yet).

That test may not give you the results you are looking for, because there is not enough wax. You may need to pour at least a 3x3 pillar or bigger to get good test results.

Those look great. Did you know this is just a form of Mottle, just a different look? Did you know they will morph over time and not stay the same. I made some mottled wax melts to show as sample colors, and after a year their is not mottle to them what so ever.

They look great. So what scent did you use? The reason I ask is there are better scents out there than stinky Citronella, like Lemon Grass Sage.

Is this the one you are looking for? Pourette use to carry it, I have one from them, but of coure they are out of business. I haven't found it yet, but I'm sure it must be out there. It is a 2 part plastic mold. Good Luck BTW - I don't like the metal tart molds for floaters, because they have a flat top, when you place them in the water you get water on top of the floter and the wick drowns out.

About Glass Candy Thermometers... I started with them years ago but soon found out they don't all read the same. The way they are made the numbers are attached to the inner glass tube, with the red liquid in it, and are not attached very well and can move on that tube, causing the temp to be wrong. If you have more than one, check one pot of heated wax, and you will most likely find that each read differently. So I would say to ditch all the glass candy thermometers and get a digital one. The digital ones don't have a long enough metal probe and you have to hold the thermometer by hand to get a reading, but it is more accurate than the other. Also you can calibrate the digital one. Which are you asking about... 100% paraffin with additives? A soy with paraffin & additives?#2 would be hard to know, they dont list their %'s.

The ingredients came off the bottle I have. The foam is produced from the foamer bottle. No it is not as thick of a foam as foaming hand soap, it is a weak foam, but it does foam.

I make sell & use gel hand sanitizer (using the base). Active ingredient: benzalkonium chloride 0.13% (antibacterial agent). Inactive ingredents: extracts of aloe, chamomile and lavender, preservative (DMDM hydantoin), purified water. It is a good wax, but not on it's own. It frosts and has ugly tops, if you use it 100%. If you are stuck on 100% soy then that's what you will have to deal with. If you blend it, with another wax, you can get rid of all of that and still have a great cold & hot throw, in some cases even better throw with the right blend.

When you get the peach in wax report back and tell us the results. I have yet to find a peach with a strong hot throw.

I don't put down other candles, I just tell & show my customers about them and tell & show them my candles, and let them be the judge. I also have side by side comparisions of name brand candles & mine both in photos of them burning and on display after they are burned. That way my customers can see the difference & when they purchase mine, and burn them, they will know the difference. I just show proof, "proof is always in the pudding".

These name brand candles have very tall flames and large mushrooms, and barely even burned. This just shows you this name brand candle is pourley made. My candles burn much better than that. I will use this to show my customers how expensive candle burn, like crap. This and other pour quality is why I get new customers and keep them comming back for my QUALITY candles. Some people like to re-name popular TM scents from Bath & Body Works, Yankme, VS etc, so they don't have to deal with the possibility of a C&D letter from one of them. I have found some scents that did not sell as the original name, I changed the name and now they sell great.

Yes, that's so true. Also Leather will turn milky white, instantly, not from light. It just won't mix in water.
