  1. I've never done that, so perhaps I'm OK. Still, I'll be double-checking everything.
  2. Oh, geez. I've ordered from VistaPrint a couple of times - better check to see if any mystery charges have showed up. That sucks, because I really have been happy with what I've ordered, and now I'll be looking elsewhere. And as if the first link wasn't enough: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/online/vistaprint.html I'm going to cancel my debit card and get a new one issued. Hassle, sure. But better than taking a chance on this.
  3. What fun! Those look great!
  4. I'm already doing that. I see lots of playing around in my future!
  5. I ordered this when they were going out of business, and there was no description on the site. My nose isn't sharp enough to pick out the different notes, and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a description. Thanks!
  6. Nature's Garden has a Wedding Cake FO - I've not tried it myself, so I can't really give you a review. I just thought I'd share in case you wanted to try and compare.
  7. I used the Heavy Lather/Shaving base and scented it with Backwoods' Black Irish. My husband will be trying it out today, and I'll try to post pictures later (not that it's very exciting, it's round and not colored, but still!).
  8. So probably not worth me leaving my house on Memorial Day, huh? Good to know!
  9. So what kind of soap stuff do they have at Joann's?
  10. Carrie, are you close enough to BCS to pick up? If you are, and there's ever anything you want from Greenleaf, maybe we can work out our own little co-op or something - I'll get Greenleaf stuff and ship to you, you get BCS stuff and ship to me. I love their Red Velvet Cake - it is absolutely drool-inducing. Business has been slow here, too. Maybe it will pick up for summer, and if not, I figure I can use the time for testing for fall.
  11. Spacegirl, that's awesome!!! (And I can see where it would be a little bit scary, too!) Go out there and knock 'em dead! :yay:
  12. Carrie, it's not stupid at all to try to think of ways to save money. I'm getting a good bit of my supplies from Greenleaf in Grand Prairie - I get my wax there, since I can pick it up and save shipping, and I've added a lot of their FOs to my lineup. I try to stick with Texas suppliers in general, figuring shipping may be a bit less in-state than out of state, but thus far I haven't managed to find everything I need in state. I've got some scents that are hugely popular that I don't want to discontinue, so I'll keep ordering them, but I'll stick close to home whenever possible as long as doing that doesn't lessen the quality of my finished product.
  13. I love Fig Forest, Apples and Maple Bourbon, and Violet Lime! All have done well for me in soy and soy blend wax and bath/body stuff.
  14. I just got the Pumpkin Apple Butter, haven't had a chance to put it in anything yet, but out of the bottle, I love it! It's a sweeter pumpkin smell, not too heavy on the spices, and I'm hoping it will do well for me. I like Tinsel - the mint under the fruit blend makes it just a little bit different, and it's been a good seller for me, both in wax and in scrubs.
  15. I've just gotten Chocolate Coconut Meringue from Daystar, and I LOVE it OOB. I haven't made it up yet, but just on sniffing it, it's divine. Good enough to eat. I don't know if it's exactly what you're looking for, but it may be similar.
  16. I'm right there with ya, trying to get a jump on fall - I've got a 1-oz. bottle of this scent on the way to me. I'm excited because it's a skin-safe pumpkin scent, and those have been hard for me to find. I'm going to be using it in bath and body and a soy blend wax, so I'll be sure to review when I've made it up.
  17. Just found this thread, and I'm glad - I'm going to take my first stab at M&P with the shaving soap base, and I was debating adding a bit of coconut oil to it to make sure it lathers really well. Given that the base is heavy lather, though, is there another oil that might make it more moisturizing? I'm researching oils and their properties (thank you, millersoap!), but thought I'd ask to see if anyone else has experimented with adding oils to the shaving soap base. If not, I'll be the guinea pig!
  18. Awesome! Your stuff is fabulous, so I hope this is just the beginning of many good things for you.
  19. Bump - I'm about to set up a mailing list and thought I'd see if anyone had anything to add to what's already been suggested, or if anyone else had experiences to share. I'm checking out the ones that have already been mentioned!
  20. Oh, beautiful! What a great name, too!
  21. I think that's a great idea, going with a theme. I check out candles everywhere I see them - one, to check out the competition, and two, because I never know when I might find one that tempts me to buy! Go for it - I figure anyplace we can get our names out to the community is a good thing.
  22. SLSA - the best price I've found so far is at MMS, 5 pounds for $27.50 FBB - both Chemistry Store and Soaper Supplies have 5 pounds for $22.25, and that's the best I've found thus far.
