  1. I thought it was me, the sample I received about a month ago did not smell the same as the last 8 oz I bought...yes, keep us posted.
  2. Forgive me...I was looking at the wrong labels--I have two sizes...Everyone forget they saw any posts from me on this subject.
  3. I guess alot of it depends on how formal or casual your letter is. I work for a lawyer, so even my personal correspondence sounds like a brief.
  4. Do you have ivory? I just increase my amount of ivory to make it caramel-butterscotch.
  5. Sorry can't help, I have 12 to a sheet. I guess I'm tired, but how can you have 20 2" labels to a sheet, is it bigger than 8.5 x 11? (Not trying to be sarcastic, but the math is not computing, but I am a bit sleep deprived and it's 12:45 a.m.).
  6. I think they look cool, and I would keep them clear, it keeps your eye focused on the design. I'm not sure about the label on the lid locking jar, it looked too big, but it could have been the flash. Here's a suggestion, do a round label on the lid? Bottom line--I like your logo very much.
  7. I'm being truly technical here. Instead of using I or we, use the name of the business.
  8. I have my first craft show on Saturday. I'm very excited. But tonight, I am chilling out, and relaxing--need rest so that I'm "perky." I am doing a run-through of how I want to set up my table etc. I have a 6' table and a baker's rack that I'm using. Then on Sunday, see what I sold, because I have a home show the following Saturday and another show the following weekend.
  9. I actually thought of Bruce the minute I saw them, I would have thought they were Bruce originals. Bruce--post the pictures when you achieve this look.
  10. Few questions for you. How much FO per lb. did you use? What wax? Is the FO a high quality FO? (I know that seems like a dumb question, but it has alot to do with scent throw). What type of wick? Are you achieving a full melt pool? Do you have a cold throw, or just no hot throw?
  11. Very Christmas-y! Cranberry Balsam would be a killer FO for that.
  12. I have also taken a small amount of melted wax and colored that wax (made it a liquid form) and added it from there and it worked, but I use liquids now.
  13. If I'm understanding CAS to be Candles and Supplies--I get my wax and my wicks from them and have NEVER had a problem with the zinc, the cotton, the paper or the Heinz coreless.
  14. I have a presto with a spigot--no splatter--I can hire out my mom to all of you, she modified mine. ha ha! And I have one without a spigot for the votive/tart wax (haven't brought it to mom to modify). If I have an empty presto I will use it for repours (put some water in there, and place the pour pot in the boiling water and melt it (about 5 minutes at most to get it to 180-190), but most of the time I keep my pots filled with wax. I am thinking of just buying a presto just just melt the top-offs. I use a one pour container, so the only repours I do are with my votives. Thanks for thinking of me!
  15. My budget is based on my spending money, therefore, I opted for 2 Presto Pots and I love them. I have one for container wax, and one for my votive wax, and thinking of getting a third to boil water for the remelting of the wax for top offs. But you still have to deal with reheating/melting the top off wax with that handy dandy melter (see...I'm envious). I saw them at C&S...they are nice.
  16. Oh, that noticeable, huh? I am offering 3 sizes of jars and clamshells mostly. My clamshells sell for $3.00 each, but I was going to do a 4 for $10.00. I know I couldn't pass that up as a shopper. I was a maniac if I could get ANY 2 for $10.00 deals. Plus, Delaware shoppers are very different from our surrouding states--no tax. LOL!
  17. Thanks. I'm still deciding if I'm even going to offer votives. And I may do the 4 pack idea. Thank you all for your help. I will be on Xanax by Friday. LOL!
  18. Sorry to ask this, and it may just be lack of sleep, but I have to ask. When you have a craft show, do you sell your votives in packs of 2, 4 or 6, or single? I'm debating on how to do this. As a consumer, I didn't mind buying them in groups (most of my candle holders held 2 or 3 votives). This is my first craft show and I have 3 in 4 weeks, first one is this weekend. Any advice is appreciated.
  19. Very nice indeed...can we see closer? I love your colors!
  20. Joy, I agree--no one is perfect, but the harshness did not come out until, and only until he became way too defensive, and started to spout his achievements, etc. If you look at the first few posts, they were kind, constructive criticisms and he came out firing. Maturity is not something grown in a lab. One person's "great candle" is another persons "garbage". His inexperience in testing was pointed out because of his posts within the last month or so...check them out. And testing is a personal preference--smart in my opinion, but that's just my opinion (which is what this entire thread is, everyone's opinions).
  21. I like NG's Orange Clove. I received some OC from the classified's (unknown supplier) and I like NGs better. JMO.
  22. Beautiful! After the fall/Xmas rush I'm going to test that wax, I think it is awesome.
  23. Check out the site again, significant changes were made. There are still a few typos, font errors, grammatical issues, but it's not the same as it was.
