  1. As for shipping, I asked customer service how I could estimate shipping costs, and it's 20% of your order (and when I checked it, yep, it was 20% of the total). I agree their B&B is not good, but I get my wax, jars, wicks, dyes, few scents, and I am completely happy. P.S. Not sure why you couldn't find anything on C&S, there are many discussions all over this board.
  2. For some reason, this link gets passed around this time every year. Triple scented is a marketing gimmick. IMO--Triple scented = three scents in a jar (layered).
  3. I have the same problem, if I use dye chips I get that frosty look and heat guns don't seem to help.
  4. I just tried a "test" order and a 12 pack of votives came to $21.85 (is that your real price), and $9.00 for a 6 pack of votives? I can keep testing if you like, but I like the look of your graphics & photos.
  5. What would the purpose of the melts be in "unscented?"
  6. I have warning labels (on bottom) then I have my label (name of my business, scent name, weight, contact info.)
  7. Very nice, as a consumer I would suggest this: on your home page where you check out the "what's new (by the way, the what's new on the top of the page is missing the apostrophe) and the "new" and "limited edition" would be cool if you could just click on that link (if possible). Very nice job!
  8. Your site looks nice (I quickly browsed), but I did notice one thing, and this is just something I observed. On your home page, the descriptions underneath the candle pictures would be nice if they were all the same (Scent name on the first line, jar description and size on the next line, and price on the 3rd). Just a suggestion. Nice job.
  9. I'm sorry, I don't see where there is a problem, I think they are BEAUTIFUL, and the colors go extremely well with the scent.
  10. Warning labels are inexpensive, I'd just go for them.
  11. If ever in doubt, just say no thank you. She can still maintain #10 status, just in a different market.
  12. I don't like quirky tag lines (not that yours was), but I think this one by Sock is very nice and elegant. Can we see your packaging too? I like simplistic elegance and that is what I "see" when I see your butterfly.
  13. It is November and I'm selling the heck out of Honeysuckle--who would have thought??? But couldn't give Warm Apple Pie away, but in October--sold out of it instantly....
  14. I saw a gel candle maker this weekend...she was set up right next to me at a two day show.. She had a consistent theme...gels with sparkles in them. She had some traffic, but I didn't see many sales.
  15. I can't tell what you have on top of your candles. And out of curiosity...do they sell well?
  16. I use a 2 x 4 white label and a warning label on the bottom. I don't do hang tags at all.
  17. http://www.geocities.com/lwoollen_25/FragranceFinder Keep this bookmarked, it will save you lots of time.
  18. I have had minimal problems, but mistakes do happen. As for Sharon's instance, that was just plain unbusiness like, and Cindy should have honored it. So minimal problems is worth the savings. JMO
  19. Trish your question was about how to package your candles, correct? Since you are using jelly jars, I am assuming you want a country look? How about a round label on the top of the lid? You could do something simplistic as Merry Christmas with the scent name on it.
  20. Getting ready for a two day show next weekend. Pouring some more Xmas scents and having to buy the Xmas decorations for the table, taking my niece ice skating (let's pray I'm not in the ER on Saturday night) and then my niece's 8th birthday party for family on Sunday, all the while pouring, pouring and pouring.
  21. I'm not really seeing anything wrong with what NG did. And 50 lbs. of an "exclusive" scent is a bargain. Sorry you learned a tough lesson.
