  1. Thank you both I'll try that liquid insted:D
  2. Ive been experimenting with color and thus far have been unsuccessful in acheiving a true black. I've tried the color chips and that didn't get the results I expected. So I switched to the liquid dye and I can get a true black but then it stinks like dye. No fancy wax recipe just 1 pound 1343 a teaspoon of releasant powder. the recomended dose of peaks uv inhibitor and FO, thats it. Please help. Thanks, Tracey
  3. Pourette makes molds so if you can't find what your looking for give them a try, they do a great job on custom molds.
  4. If you wait until your candle is cool then chances are you've waited to long to re-pour and just as well start over. Your re-pour should be done while your candle is still warm to avoid the oh so attractive jump lines, and should be poured 10 degrees hotter than your original pour. If your candle has already cooled your re-pour will seep down the sides of your candle where it has pulled away from your mold.
  5. Depends on your desired result. Soy, Paraffin, Beeswax, or maybe a preblended wax may be best suited for you if you don't have much experience with additives.
  6. Your killin me over here!
  7. Thank you. Are they intended for fragrance throw only?
  8. I've been getting alot of requests lately for tarts but I haven't a clue where to begin. What wax is best for these and what kind of device to use for testing? Any advice? Thanks
  9. Gosh there are so many. I'd have to say Rose, Lilac, Lavendar, anything that smells like old people or an old ladys bathroom! Can't stand french vanilla either, my ex roommate had a can of spray he kept in our only bathroom and well...*faint* I walked in just as he walked out and I'm lucky enough to still be alive to write about it.
  10. Have you concidered logging on to the Avery.com website for their templates that go with their lables? They worked for me(knock on wood). Good luck to you.
  11. I too have that mold along with the yin yang, I really like the way they look however, I haven't had any luck wicking them to burn correctly as two seperate candles. Yours look great.
  12. OMG ... LMAO Wick Dipper that is the cutest thing I've ever heard!! I've been called many things over the years but Wick Dipper tops them all!!
  13. Trish, I never would have thought to mention the slight variations in color and what not due to the hand pouring process. Thank you!
