  1. I do a three layer or triple scented (LOL) of Capp. Hazelnut, Almond Pastries aka Biscotti and Vanilla Hazelnut and sell out of it within 1 hour of a show.
  2. If you do votives, why not do a layered votive, scented coffee and one layer donuts. Yes, I can say this, I come from a police family. LOL!
  3. I "second" Day Star, her scents are unique. My favorites are Turquoise, Warm Orange Tea and Hey Hey Cute Cabana Boy! Unfortunately it rings very true, you get what you pay for, especially in FOs. Good luck!
  4. As always don't judge OOB, I bought Hey Hey Cute Cabana Boy and hated it OOB and in wax, it's wonderful. Her oils take on a new life in wax...Good luck!
  5. I bought a roll of 1000 stickums and they sucked. I chalked it up as a loss. And one batch of wicks seemed to come out of the tab, so I just recrimped it...not a big deal. Part of candle making is learning as you go...so don't buy their wick stickums again.
  6. E-Beautiful as always!! Why not just rename it Grandma's Pumpkin Roll or Holiday Pumpkin Roll? That's what we call them here, and now I want one for breakfast. LOL!
  7. Placed my order January 26. I've given up. I think the free offer was posted too many places and the response was very overwhelming. I hope it was a good business decision (it seems as if everyone is happy).
  8. $3.00 or 4 for $10 (and I sell these things like mad).
  9. What is the estimated time wait? I placed a request for samples back in January.
  10. Isn't Ginger Fig the latest from Bath & Body Works?
  11. I bought through the same pre-buy, and I love it!!! Can't keep my nose out of it.
  12. I use this wax as well (from C&S) and it was the the very first wax I tried and I don't find any problems with it at all. I would suggest that you really do pour at 160 and warm your jars (heat gun will do). I don't have problems with wet spots if I pour at 160. I really love this wax, as do my customers. I use Heinz Coreless wicks and get a fantastic burn with it.
  13. Yankee was not a fly by night company, they have been around for a very long time. They set a standard, and luckily for us, it's not a terribly high standard, but it is what our customers will compare us to (they don't have many other choices). That's ok with me. I was a faithful Yankee candle buyer and soot was part of burning a candle in my mind, and I didn't think much of the fact that there was hang-up, or tunneling. As for Partylite--they dont' hold a candle to my products (yes, pun intended).
  14. I did 1 oz of Lavender and I renamed it to Lavender fields, it was TOO STRONG. Same goes with Lilac, don't need more than 1/2 oz. in my opinion.
  15. Candles and Supplies carries it. I have a customer who orders it year round, and she LOVES it. I personally hate the smell of patchouli, but those who do seem to like C&S's version. good luck!
  16. Thanks. I LOVE the look of this wax, and hope to eventually incorporate it into my line.
  17. I'm testing palm wax from Candles and Supplies, and I don't know what I am doing wrong. One set of votives came out beautifully (pale pink, scented Girls' Night Out - Just Scent) and the other set (purple, scented Lavender/Vanilla Passion ) don't look the same. The top of the votive has the beautiful "feathering, star burst, etc., but the rest of the votive is solid (as if I had used plain paraffin). Both poured at 200 degrees. I did not heat the votive molds. Any suggestions would be helpful.
  18. I'm interested in attending this conference too. I'm in Delaware.
  19. I think they look awesome. Can I buy one (for real)?
  20. I like the Scents of the Season promotional idea. And I'm not a fan of craft shows either, I'm sticking to home shows & open houses.
  21. If you have been paying the prices at Michael's you will be pleasantly surprised how inexpensive wax can be from other suppliers.
  22. I ordered a sampler from her, and I have only poured Turqouise (spelling?)and it's a great scent, made pillars with it. Customer service was fine, shipping a bit slow, but she followed up with a message about the after holiday rush. No complaints.
  23. I cut back on my peppermint and no fuel smell, or as Robin said, a touch of vanilla to make it a "creamy mint" and you'll be good to go. Sometimes, less is more, and with a quality FO you don't need to overload scent.
