  1. My main problem when I first started out was waiting too long. Thin to mediium trace works better for those wispy swirls. Also, using a Kelsei divider mold helps with 'dragging' those swirls down the sides of the bars.
  2. Ha...I already have. Sorry to have missed it...circumstances beyond my control.
  3. Whose Black Cherry are you using if you don't mind sharing?
  4. Beautiful, Barb. Did Kristy finally go home? LOL I'm glad you gals had such a good weekend.
  5. yup. Not a problem. I've done lots of stained glass candles with soy & gel.
  6. Julia! What happened to your Kelseis?
  7. beautiful...can't wait to see it cut!
  8. Just the tip of a teaspoon, not even 1/4 in 2 ladles full of soap...kinda eyeballed it.
  9. Thanks everyone...they do look better this morning
  10. They are quick...I think I had mine in 3 days. I used the POPs for the first time yesterday, and they are a joy to work with!
  11. Have you looked at the Silver Moon silicone molds? They do custom sizes in both logs and slabs.
  12. Another thing I didn't plan. Man was I out of it today! I grabbed the bottle closest to my hand and it wound up to be Daystar's Sandalwood & Clary Sage, just got it before I went away.
  13. Just posted a picture of my first try with these!
  14. Not feeling too well, and being a bit over-ambitious...I didn't take the time I should have planning this one, but here it is, haphazard as it is. The only 2 colors I didn't use were the blue and the strawberry. These are just cut, not cleaned up or beveled yet.
  15. Hey, if it's working for you...do it! I was asking about CP soap. The batch I made today, I just incorporated right into my emulsified soap.
  16. Thanks a bunch! I just experimented with a small 2 lb batch. I used 5 of the 7 sample colors in my new silicone mold. I'll keep ya posted!
  17. The Soap Goat is in Canada and they have excellent products. If you are looking for the Silicon type mold, SilverMoon is the one everyone is raving about lately.
  18. I also use Orange Chiffon from KY, but I mix mine with KY's Coconut Cream Pie....to die for!
