@Sebleo Thank you so much!  Hmm... so would you say that it maybe smells kinda similar to Sweet Potato & Brown Sugar?  Because squash and sweet potato are similar I think right?  Lol Excuse me while I have an airhead moment.  😂.  Or would you say it’s more of like a FO that’s more pumpkin guts?

I would say more like pumpkin guts!

@The Candle Nook @Sebleo @Belinda @pcbrook How does LS Butternut Pumpkin differ from other pumpkins? I’ve not yet tried that one.  I have loads of other pumpkin FO’s so just never tried that one.  TIA!

It is a pure pumpkin fragrance blended with butternut squash. The description states it has cinnamon and nutmeg- and it is there, but very subtle. It’s nice to have a pumpkin scent that is a “clean” pumpkin without all the spice or bakery crust notes. Very few pumpkin scents are like that which makes it unique.

If you don't mind me asking, why are you not going to use it?

I’m moving from palm because, while the melts were amazing, I don’t like that they won’t perform well in all warmers. Too many people out there with scentsy and other low temp warmers.

I want to offer the same wax type with candles and melts- so, that’s why I’m not using the glass glow. I will check when I get home to see exactly how much I have left.

  4. I’ve noticed that in my research on selling palm products. Etsy and Amazon have few palm sellers and the sales are much lower than soy and paraffin competitors.

Not sure if that’s people are anti palm or that they tend to type in soy as a search term.

I have read many reviews where people have had bad experiences with palm in the past- no/little fragrance and they aren’t willing to give palm another try.

Which seems weird, bc people have bad experiences with soy or paraffin and don’t write off the wax entirely.

  5. I’ve stumbled on these by Yankee and Nest. Yank doesn’t give a time but Nest says they last up to 30 days.

Has anyone tried them? Or know how they’re made? Might be too new to the market to know just yet.

I don’t think I’d want to get in that market if they only last 30 days. Just curious about them. There’s only a few reviews out on them so far.

  6. Thanks @TallTayl

    yes, no neck.

    3” wide

    4” tall

The good news is I have plenty of 12 and 14.  I put in a 9 earlier today and let it burn for 4 hours. The throw was exponentially better than with the other wick series I’ve tried. It burned to maybe 80% melt pool in that time. Looks like I’m on the right track, thanks to you, with this wick series.

personally I dislike the burn of  RRD but some palm wax people I know swear by them.

CSN is one of my "go to" series when CD are not a great fit. CDN can be hit or miss depending on the fragrance (like anything else).

Thank you. I plugged in some csn’s to test. I can’t find the csn guide on CS anymore- and I’m running low on my sample pack. Where do you think a good starting point is for a 3.125 inch jar?

Considering C1 contains 20% palm, you may want to look into wicks designed for palm, such as CSN or even RRD. CDN wicks are also worth trying as they are chemically treated for caustic natural waxes.

Ok thank you. I have some csn and can’t recall if I tried those. I’ll have to find cdn and rrd as none of my current suppliers sell those.

  9. Just when I think I’ve got my wicking down!! Measuring these carbon balls!

I keep rewicking my candles- going down a size. Some of them with this last wickectomy are burning as they should, but the scent throw seems to have diminished! Ugh!

One still has a carbon ball, but now is not giving me a full melt pool. What does that mean? Wrong wick type altogether? I’m going to give it another go tmw and see if it catches up but it’s not looking good.
