He's no fan of paraffin candles, that much is clear!
I’m not so sure he’s a fan of candles at all!

I fell for their Ecosoya PB soy wax and really liked it, I"m bumming. Great question, what supply they can't secure? I don't get it. 😫
I loved the original. It was amazing. But the re launched version was not the same.

@Paintguru no I haven’t. I won’t be using them, or someone else, until December or January. I was looking to get brochures printed that I won’t need until the first of the year.
-
Wow!! I’m so glad I didn’t pursue their wax when it relaunched. And so sorry for those that did!
I wonder what “supply” they can’t secure???

I haven’t had fading issues with my melts.

I just saw these red ones tiny ones on an Instagram ad a few days ago. I have no experience from ordering from this company.
https://www.glassnow.com/glass-candle-containers/3oz-square-candle-glass-container-1468
I forgot about those. They also have 8.5 and 21 oz.
I have ordered from them twice. My last order of ten cases got to me the next day. I’m in Texas, but that’s still impressive!

I’m using C1- soy/palm blend.
The Blood Orange is amazing in my palm melts. Just trying to get this candle figured out!

Only seen the Libbey Cube for sale. I was torn between the square and colored glass so I’ve shopped around a lot for both.

Thanks @moonshine I did lower the fo pouring temp to about 173. Is that “low” enough?
I guess I will let this cure for a few weeks and see if there’s a change. It’s Blood Orange by CS.
-
I forget how to combat this. Do I need to lower fo %, bigger/smaller wick, add fo at lower temp?
-
When do you poke after pouring? Is there a certain time frame that’s best? Or will you get the same results a day or more later?

Thanks for the follow up @Belinda!

@Sebleo I just noticed they sell the premixed oil not a base.
I use the base from candle science.

Reeddiffusers.org and WholesaleReedDiffusers.com are the same company and sell a huge array of reed sizes and colors. Which site you use just depends on how much your going to order on which one is most beneficial. If I remember correctly, if you’re just ordering reeds, it’s better to order from the .org.
I ordered from them once last year. The black and “white” reeds. Pretty pleased with them but I haven’t ordered from anyone else to compare.

Thanks for posting the link @RedRoomGraduate. They really sold me on trying some of those scents with their descriptions!

No kidding, I loved Brambleberry's Spiced Amber Ale!
Since I buy so many FO's from so many suppliers, I wonder if it would be worth it to go out to AFI and have them duplicate all of my already custom blends 🧐 . Being able to purchase in heavy quantities from a single supplier vs a dozen would do wonders on shipping costs.
Then you will be offering up your formula for others to buy. Right? Maybe. Not sure how it works. But it’s food for thought.

Yes, I'm certain I printed out the information on the old version. Tell me more about having it duped. I wouldn't know who to contact. That will be a new experience for me. Thanks for the encouraging news.
Check out these threads on AFI. I’m just learning about dupes as well

As Ravens said, those wicks are too big for that container. What other sizes have you tried?
-
So how does it work exactly? Could I give them a sample of the discontinued CS Gardenia and have them dupe it for me?

I bought a case of status jars, because I just love the look of them. I was super disappointed when I noticed that the jars were all molded wonky. The inside bottom of the jars were slightly at an angle and I just couldn't get past it. I love the cute lids that work with them!
My husband works for Libbey glass and actually runs the machines that make the glass. There are two types of machines that make glass: blower and press. You will get a much better and consistent product with the press. There are so many ways the glass can be inconsistent and have flaws with a blower.
Status jars are made with a blower. For comparison, the Libbey cube jars are made with a press. That’s why they look so amazing.
If if anyone ever has glass questions just hit me up!

I’ll be following this too. I am in love with CS Gardenia. I bought a 5lb jug at half price when they discontinued it. I wish I could have afforded more at the time.

Oooh... a pretzel candle! Now we’re talking!
