  1. Yeah 72 jars WITH lids for $36 ain't terrible. (You'll get cool little clear plastic packages for them that all you'll have to do is pull out the paper insert and put YOUR insert into as well...) Regarding the reclaiming of wicks, I was thinking that might be a neat and extremely cheap experiment to find the right wick size?
  2. Meh, you know me TT, just fun'n around. Not for nothing but SwiftCraftyMonkey's site is pretty much the Holy Grail for lotions and such. I've been deliberating contacting Susan in reference to why Pine Tar accelerates CP so badly. Also... (Something that I found interesting), Pine Tar messes up beeswax BADLY! It makes hard little lumps in beeswax, (i'm way off topic here) Anyway, I doubt anyone other than me is interested in making a peppermint EO and pine tar sugar scrub... 3. Love'm! I like #2 the best as well, but I also think #1's font should be on #2... ETA: Actually looking a bit closer I think the word order of #1 is better than #2... The fluidity of the word concepts just works better in #1 because the last thing that they read is the name of the Orchard... So my final vote is wording and font of #1 on label #2.
  4. Good LORD Trapp! Does Bart got lynx in him? These are what you're looking for over in the kitchen utensils area: https://www.dollartree.com/Cooking-Concepts-Mason-Jar-Glass-Spice-Jars-2-ct-Packs/p361435/index.pro They call'm spice jars. And yes, those little tiny jar candles throw with a vengeance! You get a really fast hot throw with them. As far as wicks, while you're at Dollar tree pick up some birthday cake candles and carve out the wicks or melt them down and pluck out the wicks? If you carve them down you could even leave a little nub at the bottom to help with centering the wick. Here: https://www.dollartree.com/Colorful-Birthday-Candles-60-ct-Packs/p357434/index.pro I don't know what wicks cost but 60 wicks for a buck doesn't sound *too* horribly bad for a few minutes actual work... If the wax in them isn't to your liking, well, boil'm in some other wax? Hell, I dunno. I make soap. Just a thort. 5. Wow...Do you really think those Disher's would come over here with their brand flavor of kick ass jut to raise hell?? NAH!!!!
  6. Well, if you just want really little mason jars (well, mason like jars) Dollar Tree is selling them 2 to a pack over by the salt shakers. Little clear plastic square rectangle box with 2 little mason jars with solid silver lids. They're about a shot glass' worth of volume. Those are what I filled with those wood popsicle stick wick tests.
  7. Why is this thing secret? PM's are whizzing about with stuff about the Holy Grail... o.O I... I am suddenly afraid... Very, very afraid.... Sponiebr: (Looking for the little knob to pull up, so I can get out of Dodge...)
  8. and I read Cackling Bitch! GMTA!!!
  9. Whut? They're just going to be eating lunch and cleaning up stuff... You don't like lunch Kelly? Sponiebr: "I wouldn't say I'm desperate, more like broke with no credit and overdrawn on my account..." SAY! You think we could get that Dr. in the mix?
  10. I get to watch? I mean I GET TO WATCH!!!! Hot DAMN!
  11. Oh PLEASE don't STOP!!!! This is just getting GOOD!!!!
  12. I'm feel'n ya Kelly... Same thing here. My! MY! Ain't all y'all the lot! Good LORD! Kelly can't see straight but still want's to play with dangerous chemicals and her crystal's are out of alignment so she's gonna take up gymnastics... (o.O) J's do'n way too much at one time (which is a good thing because this is normal), Trapuer's got White Trash hang'n out in her yard when she's not look'n AND she's moved up from candles to bonfires, Moonstar's out eat'n by herself, (THERE'S just NO CALL for that Moonie!), and TT's lose'n her damned mind with a house full of hack'n dogs, 99 bottles of bleach on the floor, and no sleep... HEAVENS! I *thought* I was have'n a bad week, but read'n 'bout all y'all's swung my left ear from pinned to straight up... For once, my life's look'n pretty good! (write that down on the calendar, 'cause you'll likely never hear it again outta me) In fact it might look good enough to make some soap... *maybe*. IN the MEAN time: Spon-ie-br that started the whole world laughing... o.O (Vuja de man!)
  13. Just my tuppence but 1. I like the clear cello grass better than the colored. 2. I don't like the cello grass in the small round container. The container needs something, in the bottom maybe not as much cello grass? I've used a little poly-fill for decorative packaging before, as it makes wonderful soft cushioning packing and looks like clouds or snow... As always your soaps are just beyond amazing! (I REALLY gotta make a batch of soap for some embeds...) Slainte, Sponiebr

OMG... The abbreviations, the acronyms... I'm a gov. employee and this place makes MY head spin. So the most common ones that I've seen Are: RE (Rustic Essentials) CS (Candle Science) NG (Nature's Garden) CD (I have NO IDEA...) FP ( Front Porch Candles) WSP (Wholesale Supplies Plus) BB (Bramble Berry) CG (Camden Grey) BA (Bulk Apothecary) LS (Lone Star Candle) ICS (Indiana Candle Supply) SC (Sweetcakes) ND (New Directions) SoS (Save on Scents) JS (Just Scents) (BW) Back Woods) FMC (Fillmore Containers) BCN (Bitter Creek North) Still have no idea who or what CD is... Perhaps' It's redundant to post this again, but I like to see the reminder every now and again of WHO is currently talked about the most. Slainte, Sponiebr
  15. Just a little spice huh? I mix Candle Science's Holly Berry and Snickerdoodle, it smells like the radiant Christmas Morning joy on a child's face when they first see the tree... It's just wonderful. Like warm snickerdoodle sugar cookies and milk. If this is strictly for a Candle or maybe some lotion I'd have to say Candle Science's Christmas Hearth is just TDF. The Holly Berry is warm and almost honey with a little bit of warm mulling spices and leaves you feeling like you had passed by the faintest pine or something green in background. Snickerdoodle, is just like a warm snickerdoodle sugar cookie fresh out of the oven spicy but not overpowering. It's more spicey than a honey graham cracker but not like a pumpkin pie... It's somewhere in the middle ether there... Christmas Hearth, I swear Candle Science is making this from freshly squeezed angels somehow... But THEY describe it as "A classic holiday fragrance that tells the story of a cozy holiday night spent sipping wine in front of the fireplace. Christmas Hearth combines orange spice notes from the kitchen, fir and pine notes from the Christmas tree, and an earthy smokiness from the fireplace. It's Christmas Eve, in a bottle, any time." I just WISH this could be used in soaps... Cheers, Sponiebr
  16. In all seriousness they're made from Dollar Tree Popsicle sticks that have been crushed with a hammer to soften them up a little bit and spread out the wood fibers. They burn really REALLY well. I was just fart'n around trying to come up with an amusing joke... I didn't actually expect to find something cool and useful in the middle of my shenanigans. ALSO as a side note, I've been treating them with some 90% stearic acid and 10% paraffin to "size" them. It has worked well. I've made some little tabs out of a Dew can and meh, it works. I also tried smashed tooth picks, which turned out "ok", not great, but ok. And bamboo skewers. The bamboo skewers work fine if you need a medieval torch for exploring labyrinths and caves and such. The bamboo wicks are very efficient at sucking up wax and making large amounts of fire. Not really suited to candles for the house, tiki torches? Sure... Bedroom, not so much.
  17. I'm just look'n at the numbers here Kelly... How'd it turn out as soaps go? It looks like a soft low, low, lather bar. I'm just wondering, as I see the note for PKO up there.
  18. I'm with Moonie on that! Seriously, those almost look like ghost swirls, did you vary the water content in your swirls on those, or how did you get the swirls to "pop" like that. they kind of remind me of M&P a little... The rebatch looks good!
  19. Y'all... I told myself I wouldn't... I swore, I wouldn't... Then I PROMISED myself I'd just do it this ONE time! I'd be OK for just ONE time! It's such a small amount I can't get hooked... I could STOP ANYTIME I WANT TO... Yeah, well that was 3 days ago and... Well, There are 5 here, and there WERE 6... Center: Penny for reference size, and my home made wood wicks. They're all scented with CS' Christmas Hearth in those 2 oz Dollar tree jars. So the descriptions are about what I did and what the colorants are: Left to right: Single pour chrome green III and BB bronze mica for that geenish gold look. Single pour 100% unscented bleached bees wax. (just a burn test) Different attempt at mottling the green one and the lavendar one. Lavender mottled single pour. (oh... I used some of those LA shimmer loose micas in these. The stuff from the DOllar Tree. ) 2nd attempt at the green and lavender mottling. I'm sick. I need help. Do they have like Crafer's Anonymous? They all burn well. Sponiebr- el sicko!
  20. I actually haven't made any bay rum up in an extremely LONG time. BUT... IF I were to make some up, I'd go with Save on Scent's Bay Rum with Key Lime. I like that one. http://www.saveonscents.com/product_info.php/products_id/202557 If just buying it OTC: Dominica Lime Bay Rum was always a favorite of mine. Apparently Dominica Lime Bay rum is unobtainium now so I will have to make my own now. (Not really a problem for me) When I was making my own bay rum overseas I liked a base tonic of witchhazel tonic + a very strong spiced white rum and a few drops of VG to get it all mixed up and 1 drop of Bay oil or so per pint. (I found any more than that and it burned my skin badly.) That's it. I had to shake the living crap out of my bottle before applying it, but it worked nicely.
