  1. Those are beautiful Terry! I'm planning on finally making my first batch this weekend. We'll see how it goes
  2. I personally love Peak's fragrances. I like some scents more than others, but I have never gotten a "dud" from them. Right now I am using 4786 (thanks to Puma) and I have had nothing but good luck. I don't know what kind of wax you're using but, from what I have read on here, soy does tend to throw differently than paraffin. Maybe someone else will chime in here.
  3. OMG Puma!!!! You rock!!! You never cease to amaze me with your creativity and openness! Truly is blessing
  4. Frustrating alright! And yet it always seems to surprise me :/
  5. I whole heartedly agree with you Daisy! This site as a whole has been a Godsend to me. I don't post much, but I follow constantly! I've got to learn to simplify my life so I can get some of these things made! lol
  6. I love these! I can almost smell them through my iPad I have been following this thread, but have yet to make mine. I need to get my rearend in gear! lol. Nice job!
  7. I've made candles and other bath and body items with Natures Garden dupe. It one of my best sellers. I do mix a little peppermint EO in with it though. It seems to help tone down the spearmint a touch.
  8. They are beautiful!!!!! I am loving this thread! I'm planning on trying my hand at these tomorrow. I'm not sure if you all are inspirations or enablers
  9. Their Etsy profile states "Artisan-turned attorney-returned artisan! In addition to being a former DIY writer for The Home Depot and Tiny Prints by Shutterfly, I am also a first-time mother in Charleston, South Carolina!" Hopefully, the attorney in her thought about copyright info. I LOVE those jars! I didn't see a price point anywhere.
  10. I wish I could get that motivated! Looks awesome and I love the chair!
  11. Thanks so much! I'll check it out tomorrow! I was dreading the whole Excel formula thing
  12. Would this program be compatible for candle making as well, or is simply for soap making? I've been making candles now for awhile and having pretty good success, so I think I'm ready to start spreading my wings a bit. I am trying my hand at lotions right now, but would LOVE to start learning to make soaps. To help with taxes, I'm trying to find a program that would well for both. Any advice? Thanks.
  13. You all are my heroes!!!!!! I can't wait to see your creations! So much energy between you all!
  14. Oh my gosh!!!! Can you use a small wire strainer (the kind you could use to strain coffee grounds)? :/
  15. Would this fryer be similar to the old turkey fryer (which appears to be nonexistent now)? I read on one site that this is the same fryer, but was purchased by Bruce Foods. Just wondering if yours has a separate heating element. http://www.turkey-fryers-online.com/bruce-foods-2217401932-cajun-injector-electric-turkey-fryer.htm http://www.turkey-fryers.com/etfv_turkey_fryer_kits.htm
  16. Candybee - I am unsure of it as well. It looked to me like it has a "temp" control on it, so I thought I might check it out. At best it will work great. If nothing else, I can make salsa LOL kandlekrazy - I'll have to check out the Four Seasons Fryer! Thanks for the input! I will definitely report back if I get brave enough to purchase.
  17. Has anyone found a software program or spreadsheet they really really love to help them organize, price and inventory?
  18. Have any of you tried this for candle making? What are your thoughts vs. the Presto pot with a valve? I've been watching this item for a couple if weeks now, and the price keeps going back and forth. Plus, there is free shipping through tomorrow. http://www.amazon.com/Ball-FreshTech-Electric-Canner-Silver/dp/B00SLLS2MI
  19. What supplier is GW???? Trappeur - What's the sizing info for that jar?
  20. Your labels are beautiful! I can't wait to see them on the candles
  21. Wow!!!!!! That's heartbreaking! I just received a new batch from Peak. I haven't poured any yet, but this makes me extremely cautious. Have you heard back from anyone on this?
  22. Thanks for the input! I'm still playing around them. You all have given some great advice. I will post new pictures once I have them "done." lol
  23. I don't use this wax, but here is a link to Candle Science. They say to pour at 120 degrees. I also checked on Lonestar Candle Supply and they recommend pouring between 115 - 125 degrees. There also some excellent reviews on both these sites which offer some extra "tips" for using this wax. https://www.candlescience.com/wax/ecosoya-advanced-soy-wax/ http://www.lonestarcandlesupply.com/products/candlewax_ecosoya-cb-advanced-soy-container-wax.html
  24. I have attached two pictures of labels I've been working on, but I am at a standstill. They are needing something - I just don't know what. I think I have looked at them so long, I'm bum fuzzled. Any ideas????
