  1. Not sure if she is still in biz or not but the website does come up http://www.gelembeds.com/
  2. How about http://www.silkytyme.com/ Wendy
  3. Not sure about your particular molds however we used mineral to clean out the wax residue out of our high temp plastic embed molds. With a little bit of elbow grease the wax residue would come right off. I don't think it would remove the stains though.
  4. Hi Christine, not positive but Cottage may sell them. Have no idea on the pricing if they still do though. As well Stockade but there prices can be a little higher on most things, not geared to a strictly wholesale outlet. Will go thru out catalogues when I get a chance, won't be until after the weekend though! Wendy
  5. I may of been doing an update, we are clearing out and as things sell I have been updating, the link works for me. Thanks for letting me know, will keep an eye on it, we have about week left before it goes down. Wendy
  6. Here is a few Vancouver and Island sources. http://www.boxesplus.com/ http://www.essentialpackaging.com/ http://www.fancypak.com http://www.greatlittlebox.com/ http://www.mayerspackaging.com/index.asp http://www.victoriabox.ca/ http://www.instabox.com/ http://www.enterprisepaper.com/index.html http://www.starpak.ca/index.php HTH Wendy
  7. We did, (actually are still in the process of selling off things, we had a craft store in addition to our candle biz) and I am loving it! Will never give up "crafting" but it is so different when it is just for fun. After 10 yrs. of no free time and pressure, I am so ready to be able to stop and smell the roses so to speak. If you decide to let it go, enjoy!
  8. Can someone post a link to the candle and supply sites, I am assuming the are different. Thanks
  9. Beautiful! You are truly an artist with your soaps! Thanks for sharing.
  10. Gotta agree with Vickie, I am not sure citronella is a good choice for a wedding, personally I find it really chemically and overpowering. We have used Lemongrass for outside candles and it works well keeping those kritters away.
  11. I think too it depends upon the wax as to whether the corners fold in as the melt pool drops. Some of our formulas seemed to do a little better on sq. pillar burns. They also didn't like to be hugged as much, lol. I love the look of sq. candles and wish they were a little easier to create a good burn.
  12. Thank you both, was just hoping now that I had some free time at home I could play along during a "class". Will watch for upcoming ones.
  13. Thank you both! I have some watercolour paper here and will have to have a look at it to see if it would work.
  14. We've done rolls before and found them very finicky, yours look great, they both do! Thanks for sharing
  15. Those are all fantastic, hope I can be half as creative in the future! Thanks for sharing
  16. I am a very beginner soaper and off work for another 6 wks after surgery with a new laptop I can bring to the shop! Would love to be able to participate in a tutorial as long as it is fairly basic. Is anything coming up? Wendy
  17. Hi all, I am wondering if anyone knows what type of paper is suitable for airfreshners, what it is called, I know there is different types. The kids and I did some making our own paper and it was fun but tedious. They turned out well however there must be a commercial paper used for this. I am going blind searching sites for different papers, but I sure have learned alot about pulp, lol. Any thoughts. Wendy
  18. I like the gem ones too! We have a ton left over from when we had the store, hmmm may have to try one or two! They look very pretty lit. Wendy
  19. The above was my thought too. We now pour in a 1400 sq ft shop and have exhaust fans, the whole neighbourhood knows when we pour, lol. But yrs. ago when we were in the house pouring the smell was definately present both inside and outside, (doors and windows open in the spring and summer). I can't imagine what it would like in an apartment building, not everyone enjoys the smell of hot wax and fragrances. Wendy
  20. Yes Rai, ditto what Sara said, I should of been more specific. Try and make your hole with something slightly smaller than what your wicking would be. I am not sure either where we got our rod and I have lots of them in various lengths. I use the rods as wick pins and keep them in while pouring, removing after the candle is unmolded and thread the wick thru after the candle is fully set. This way I can ensure the wick is straight when inserted etc. The hole where the rod goes thru self seals around rod, never had a leak. (However we do make our own molds, not sure how others would stand up to holding the rod. We do have to "hold" the rod plum in some taller molds and do this with a craft stick with a small hole the rod threads thru and clip it with a peg if needed. HTH Wendy
  21. Hello Rai, you don't have to drill them, should be able to push a thin rod thru the silicone. hth Wendy
  22. We use our old Lexmark all the time, as a doorstop! Had more issues with ink cartridges I was tempted to send them my gas bill for all the trips to return cartridges. Also the ink usage was unbelievable having always been an HPer. (We bought the Lexmark for the store as it was cheap for a scanner combo compared to any of the HP's. Learned a lesson, lol. Wendy
  23. We do only seasonal packs in fours, for Christmas, fall, spring and summer and decorate the sides, label the top with biz and scent info, warning on the bottom. Here is a pic of our Christmas selection.
