  1. I'm really sorry to hear about you having "3" heart attacks and everything you'll have to go thru!! I don't understand why the dr. won't let you soap for awhile? I've never done rebatching (yet), but I do know that you can make some really nice M&P soaps! I've seen some really inviting M&P soaps in the Gallery, and I'm sure you can make them "your own"? Can you explain why the dr. won't let you soap, but it's ok to rebatch? I'm clueless. Hope you get to feeling better real soon!! Hugs, Steph in tx
  2. Geek, what would we do without you in our corner, cheering?? These truely keep your wick centered while curing. No moving goin' on here!! You can place your containers close together and not have to worry about moving the tool. We have several suppliers now carrying our product, please go to www.wickcenteringtool.com and check out our suppliers page. I myself will not make candles w/o using these! HTH Steph in tx
  3. That looks so delish!! Made me eat my Reese's Big Cup, this early this morning!! I'm not a lotion person....but I would buy this!! Great Job!
  4. I haven't done the rustics...so I won't be any help there, but I use the IGI 4625 for my Pillars. Have great cold and hot throw!! I'm sure someone can steer you in the right direction!! Check out the Gallery..and see what others say they use for rustics.. HTH
  5. CAN YOU "SEE ME" NOW?? lmao!! On my computer, it looks just fine....I'll change the size for the old and blind...lol
  6. Michelle, I'm not sure I understand your question....but here goes: You normally would buy Fragrance Oil and add to melted wax. How much you use depends on type of wax, additives. Then you have to test which wick would best suit this combo. HTH
  7. Welcome back!! Congrats on the bundle of joy as well!
  8. Don't know what size samples you got, but doing 1 tealight is not going to give you any information. You should use at least one pound of wax per 1oz of fo (sometimes you can go up to 1.5ozs) Make a small pillar, or container candle and test for hot throw after it cures. With some waxes, you can get 3 8oz container candles out of...and you'll need to test what size wicks will work for this fo, wax, and additives, if used. Test, test, test.....then let us know how it works for you!!
  9. Welcome!! You'll fine lots of information here and do searches as well!! :yay:
  10. That is devine! I love it! That would go perfect in my bathroom. "(note to self......beg hubby for more money!) Love your site as well..I wanna go shopping. Steph in tx
  11. WOW, how pretty is that?? Great job! You are really talented to do all that by hand!
  12. I love that!! I can smell it thru my screen!! Dang it, now I gotta go raid the cabinets for something to eat!! Great Job.
  13. Looks very nice!! Love the display. Sounds delish. Is rebatching hard??? I have some that I probably should rebatch, (i forgot to add my fo ), but I like the look of it...so it will stay unscented. I've seen some that love to rebatch.....I'll read up on details.
  14. That nasty "vanilla monster"! It's a shame we can't keep those fo w/vanilla, the color we intended. I have only done a Leather and Lace cp batch...and I knew it would turn brown, so I took out some to stay white. Brown soaps are still good!! As long as they smell good and lather....color is not an issue with me Embrace your darkened soap! It still looks good, and bet it smells great too!!
  15. Looks great!! Can't wait to see it cut! I'll have to check my Candy Corn...might have to try this. Texas Brat, if it is B&B safe, won't it be o.k. for any type of soap, since it will be washed off? O.K. hurry and post pics of it cut!! lol
  16. We use the IGI 2281, but don't want the mottled look. We use Additives in our wax, and get creamy smooth looking candles. We use 1 oz per lb w/o problems. I can't help ya if you are looking for the mottled look. But doing layers with this wax is not really that hard to do. We heat our wax till melted well, (we don't do temps anymore..sorry ), then add Additives, fragrance and color. For Layers, for this, we would do a lb of each. HTH Steph in tx
  17. Dang! Now I want something sweet to eat!! Looks delish!!
  18. A lot of how much fo you would use, would have to do with what wax you're using as well. I personally use Paraffin, and can't use more than 1oz of fragrance. My wax usually will only hold that amount w/o seeping issues later. Some fo's such as Vanilla or Vanilla bases will seep if I use too much fo. Some fragrances are just meant to be lightly scented. I do know that some use 1.5 ozs, but again it depends on the wax. I didn't see what wax you were talking about. HTH
  19. I would love to have those for display!! They would fancy up any table!! Way to go.
  20. Great looking soaps!! I admire you!! I don't know where you find the time to do all the things you do!! Keep up the great work!
  21. Way to go Chris!! :highfive: That soap looks good to me! Were you sweating bullets while mixing the lye and water, then hoping you wouldn't get soap on a stick the first batch?? I know I was nervous the whole time. But after I pulled that first batch out, I couldn't wait to do more!! When is the next batch?? LOL
