This mold has 3 wicks, would I use 36 ply for all 3 wicks?

I just ordered a new mold that I'm excited to get. It is 6 x 6.5 (3 wicks). Do I use three of the wicks that I normally use for the 3 inch wide molds? This is for paraffin. Thanks for your help.

Hi All - I'm back to work so I haven't been able to make any candles lately. I am making some today - yeah. I have a question when using wick pins do you use any mold sealer or just use the wick pin without anything to make sure the wax doesn't leak?

I'm in Orange County and I shop there. I've only been there twice but order online. PM me and we can exchange notes.

I'm using wick pins for the first time and wondering when I wick the candle do I use the heat gun to melt the wax around the wick?

Which supplier - I looked on Peak's and didn't fine these. Also would you use equal parts of each.

Do you chill you mold when making a rustic and warm it when making mottled candles?

I just wanted to see what the norm was and if how I'm doing it is correct. I've noticed if I wait too long and it is stone cold then I risk having wax run down the sides. What I love about this board is I'm able to ask questions that I feel I should know the answer to and get help How awesome is that. Thanks for all the help!!!

I'm having trouble with my dome shaped mold. I use the jiffy wick where you tie the slip knot and the wick runs through the mold. I put metal tape over it and then putty and it still didn't hold so which means the wax comes out of the mold while hot. Blah. I've been using these quite a few times and was just needing to make sure the knot was in the middle and the wick was tight but it isn't working and I'm feeling frustrated. I need to get this candle done for Thanksgiving. I was hoping I'd be able to use a wick pin and ordered some and got them in today but the hole in the mold is not big enough - blah. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You know it is a bad day when you knock a mold over that you just poured 185 degree wax into. It was a big mold too 3 x 9.5 and wax went everywhere.

What I want to do is try to buy the closest FO's and make it myself.

I'm trying to match a candle that I got from Pier 1 last year. They no longer make it. It is called quartets and they say it is a blend of harvest pumpkin spice, cinnamon roll, caramel butter and cinnamon apple. Can anyone tell me if they are familar with this or if they can suggest mixing some fragrances that might be similar. This candles smells so great and I would like to duplicate it if possible. TIA Is there somewhere I can look that might have this info.?

So you do your repour when the molds are still warm not totally cool?
