I wanted to do it because that is what the directions say????? Do you do it the same way as the site suggests except for the water bath? If I'm going to do a test rustic what size would you suggest?

I want to try making the cold pour rustics on this site. It says to use a water bath. How long do I need to leave the candle in the water bath?

I want to see your beautiful glitter candles. What colors did you use.

What do you use this for? I've never heard of an impulse sealer.

Before I used the spray adhesive I called and talked to someone and he said that the spray adhesive is ONLY flammable when it is wet, once it dries it is no longer flammable. He did not know if it would work on candles, he said he uses white glue, which I'm sure would work too but the spray is so much easier and I want to make a bunch to give as gifts. I will of course do more tests, but they sell these in the stores and I don't think they use heat guns, I think they use some kind of glue. I appreciate everyone's help, this site is so awesome. I've learned so much in a few days. Donita - I saw some of your candles and they are so gorgeous. I hope I can eventually get to where you are. Thanks again for all your help.

Hi Sassy - do you order from Genwax?

I did one last night - I used adhesive spray and then I sprinkled on the glitter. It came out great. I then burned the candle for a few hours without a problem. I love how it looks and plan to give these to friends for Christmas. Thanks so much for all your help.

Hi Tanya - if you are thinking of selling your stuff let me know what you have as I'm just starting. Are there any suppliers that you've used that you didn't like? Have you used Gen Wax?

If soy has wet spots why don't you use a paraffin container wax? I new and curious. I guess what I'm asking is what are the benefits of soy for containers?

Is there a pouring temperature guide listed somewhere that I could look at to make different candles? I did a search and didn't find anything. Thanks for your help.

What kind of parrafin do you use i.e. votive or pillar wax? I'm new can you tell, but this would be a great use of leftover wax. Thanks so much for the info.

I don't know anything about tarts - do you use wicks with these? Are these made with soy wax or paraffin?

How do you know if it is glitter that is made for candles? I called around to the craft stores and Michael's sells and extrafine glitter but I have no clue if it is made for candles?

I don't feel like there are as many resources in CA for candlemaking. I guess I will mostly have to order supplies and things online. It would be nice to have a local place.

What about putting on the glitter with spray adhesive? Would you not be able to burn that? I have glitter candles that I bought last Christmas from Crate and Barrel and they are so pretty but the candles from Crate and Barrel aren't great - I was hoping make nice glitter candles that I can give as gifts and that will be safe to burn as well. How much glitter do you need for say a 3 x 4 pillar candles? Thanks for all your help.

Where is the best place to store wax? We are thinking of making a workshop in my garage (My family doesn't like the mess in the kitchen). I think in the warmer months the garage will be too warm for the wax. Can the wax be stores in the refridgerator? I live in Calif and even today it is supposed to be 89 degrees. Gen wax where I got my wax recommends that you warm the wax to 190 degrees for 30 minutes - can someone tell me if they do this and if this is standard? Is it important for me to do this I guess is the real question. In anything I've read except their site I've not seen this anywhere.

So Pam or noname spray works exactly the same as the silicone mold release spray?

Hi Trish -- where in Sacramento are you? I'm from Sacramento. I've lived in OC for four years? How do you like Gen Wax? Do you use their products as well as Peak? So far everything I have is from Gen Wax even though it is an hour from me my husband can go by there on his way home. Is there anything you can tell me that I shouldn't use of Gen Wax? I have tons of questions as you can see. Thanks for your response.

Where do I get Vybar 343, I see Vybar 103 and 260, but not 343? Also, do I need Stearic if I'm using Vybar 103? Are there times when I would use both Vybar and Stearic?
