I'm so glad you posted this because I am new to candlemaking. I had been contemplating ordering their palm wax but I'm in Ca and the shipping is double to me so some very nice people on here gave me other alternatives. What I think you might want to say in your e-mail that there is a network of candlemakers and that we stick together. Basically you will tell us all about how terrible your experience has been ... I don't mean to threaten them, but they need to be aware how if they don't treat people in a decent way and have good products it will hurt them. Oh I feel like I'm babbling but I hope you get the idea. Thanks so much for letting us know about your experience, $1500.00 might not be a lot of money in their business world but it is a lot of money to me and if they aren't going to treat you with respect I would definitely not use them. I'm sorry that you had such a terrible experience but thanks so much for sharing with all of us.

I would e-mail her back and tell her your shocked at how much she bought and that it will eat into your profit (hahaha) I wouldn't just let her get away with this. I would tell her nicely, but this is not fair to you and I wouldn't just let it go. This amount of food is not necessary. I wonder if she makes more on her stuff??? That really doesn't matter. She went overboard and you should not have to pay for it. I think next time if you do split something you should set a $ limit. I hope you have lots of sales.

These are beautiful. Did you pour each layer at a different temperature? If so what temperatures did you start and end with?

I tried to make wiggles today and my wiggles came out straight :embarasse . I need help. Can someone also tell me who to do it because obviously it didn't happen for me today, no wiggles.

Thanks Donita I added one cranberry chip and now it is more orange I think. Oh well so much for gold today :embarasse.

I'm trying to make gold candles using dye chips, I used two for 1.5 lbs of wax and it looks more yellow that gold. Should I use more gold chips or is there another color that I can add to make it look more gold. I'm limited on colors as I haven't gotten my liquid dye yet. I do have black but I don't think that will help.

I wanted it to look like waves - I found your post. We'll see if it turns out. It doesn't seem like the little indents I'm making will make that much difference but I'm excited to see how it turns out.

How do I make the layers looked draped. I thought I saw a post yesterday about using a spoon - the problem is my mold is big and to get a spoon on the bottom layer is hard - can you help????

If I'm doing layers making a rustic can I put the candle in the fridge so it cools faster or does it need to cool slowly at room temp?

I was making a rustic in layers. I didn't like how the layers turned out and the last layer didn't come out rustic because I poured it too hot. So the rustic part on the first two layers was fine, so I guess my thinking is that I don't need to add anything. I had added stearic to begin with I just wanted to make sure I didn't need to add more?

I'm using the cookiesheet method to level my candles. How do I make absolutely sure they are level? I'm having trouble. My work area is in the garage and my tables aren't level and I'm trying to figure out how I can still make my candles level? Thanks as always for your help.

I'm wondering I made a rustic candle that didn't come out very well. I'm melting it down now. Do I need to add anything more to it so I can made a new rustic, i.e. stearic?

I'm wondering if you don't have a scent with you, why not have them order it but have them prepay and that way you haven't lost the sale? Has anyone tried this?

I'm looking for status jars - can anyone tell me where I can find them for reasonable prices? Also, does Michael's or a craft store sell jars and if so isn't it cheaper to buy them locally so you don't have to pay the shipping?

I have a Dell laptop and I love it. We have wireless in our house and so I can use it everywhere, even outside by the pool. I had mine built with Microsoft Office Pro.

When you sell them do you explain to them that they need to trim the wick?

Has anyone ordered from Glorybeefoods? It is half the shipping but the wax is a little more expensive. I want to know how the quality is compared with say Candlewic?
