  1. Can you tell me what kind of hot glue you use (is there a specific type). Also where did you get the glue gun (Michael's?). This sounds like a great idea, thanks for your help.
  2. Does the 343 really work to increase the amount of FO so the scent throw is stronger?
  3. I totally agree. I feel very fortunate at how much help and valuable information I've received. I do agree there is no substitute for actually experimenting. People have been so wonderful on this board. A lot of times I just come on here and read what people are asking and learn that way as well as doing searches. My mom would say "don't cut your nose off to spite your face". I think that is good advice. Thanks to all the wonderful people on here and have a wonderful Easter.
  4. Wickman has one, I haven't tried it so I can't tell you how it is. Here is the website. http://www.wickmanproducts.com/
  5. I'm interested too - thanks for offering your expertise!!!
  6. What about not sealing the ends so that they are open on each end?
  7. Hi -- I bought a sealer and the tubing. I sealed a few pillars and with the tubing you have a seam on the top of the pillar and on the bottom of the pillar. I would rather the seam be down the side (I think). The pillar can't stand up with the seam - any ideas would be greatly appreciated. TIA!!!!
  8. I think the Libbey jars are definitely nicer (the rim on the bottom of the 12 oz is a little more pronounced and it is a heavier jar). I'm still trying to decide what I want to do because the Libbey ones cost a bit more.
  9. Do you place lots of holes or just one whole in the buttom??? I'm new to shrinkwrapping too and my pillars had a seam on the bottom and top and I wasn't super happy with how they looked.
  10. Thanks Donita - that means so much!!!! I need to find better labels for both of the jars. I'm looking forward to getting your flowers.
  11. Does anyone know how much the magnets are? I was thinking about putting these on my husbands car because he spents approx. 3 hours in the car every day for work. His company rents him a car that he drives and he turns it in after so many miles so we can't put anything permanent on it.
  12. I got a quote and it is approx $25.00/mo. I don't use the yellowpages that they deliver to my house but I do go to www.yellowpages.com and search that way for things. I'm starting my business in June and I'm want to try and get my name out there.
  13. Thanks everyone for your input - I actually made the candle red just for fun. I love purple. I like how Peak's gives color suggestions.
  14. I tried a metal mold on Sunday and it didn't work as well - I'm not sure if I will use the Palm wax for these or not, but if I do I'll let you know. I'm really having fun with the palm wax. So far I think the aluminum molds work better. Thanks everyone for all your compliments!!!
  15. Does anyone advertise in the yellow pages? If so, is it worth the add price? TIA
  16. Here are a few candles I worked on today, some crystal palm pillars, crystal palm status jars and comfort blend square tapered jars. Let me know what you think? Thanks for looking. P.S. The purple palm pillars are scented Mandarin Plum, the red palm pillar is Lookout Point, pink status jar is Pink Sugar and green status jar is Spiced Pear, blue square taper is Spring Rain and green square taper is Hot Baked Apple Pie. I'm working on my website so trying to take pictures for that.
  17. Hi -- What color would you recommend for this FO for a candle? Thanks so much.
  18. Do we legally need to be putting Net Weight on our candle labels? TIA
  19. Do you know if they have this stuff at Ace Hardware? Walmart isn't really close to me and the whole world will be there today. TIA
  20. We are working on pictures to put on our website and so I did a little arrangement - what do you think? Same candles, just arranged a little different. We are working on the lighting. Thanks for looking.
  21. I asked you during the last post if you were using aluminum or metal? I've read that aluminum works the best, but when asking people have also said they did well with metal. This is very intersting. I didn't think you were supposed to heat hotter than 210 degrees - at least that is what the palm wax I'm using says????? I have been preheating my molds.
  22. Bizzy B did mine too - She surely is a Bizzy B (hahahaha).
